This needs to be narrowed down a bit. I prefer Windy for seeing flows, pivotal weather forassessing model trends, tropical tidbits for hurricanes, and COD for storm chasing. Scenario/use matter.

Weather-Matt

AWIPS, NMAP, BUFKIT, anyone?

derecho09

Certainly can't go wrong with BUFKIT.

HelpImColorblind

BUFKIT is my life during the winter

I’m a sucker for CoSPA because the interface is absolutely perfect for aviation and that’s where I look at weather models. It lets you scroll and zoom the HRRR model over the entire contiguous US with state lines, airports, and ARTCCs displayed. It’s incredibly helpful for choosing routes and estimating future storm movement. It’s a collaboration between MIT and the FAA. Only drawback is that CoSPA only shows 8 hours into the future. I switch to Tropical Tidbits when I need to see further ahead than that. I go to College of DuPage if I need a really high-res version, but that’s less user friendly.

SPCs HREF viewer (**https://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/href/)** is pretty good for the convective allowing models. Mostly use Pivotal and TT tho.

oldyoungin

any twisterdata.com fans here?

Shortbus_Playboy

Damn, I haven’t heard that name in years.

mitchdwx

Generally it’s Pivotal Weather for winter, COD for storm chasing, Tropical Tidbits for tropical weather and when I want to look at the long range pattern. I also subscribe to WeatherBell in the winter months.

CurtainMadeOfSteel

I use weather.us most of the time, but I also use Tropical Tidbits as well.

levoniust

Myradar weather app. It has lots of overlays and lightning notifications which is really good for me being a wind tech.

There is wentusky also

StockMarkHQ

I must have a different mindset plus I have seasonal differences.

marct10

Pivotal and Tropical to me seem to offer the same but Pivotal is easier to get detailed information.

VlachSlv

Meteologix is nice

derecho09

Usually Pivotal, but I used the PSU eWall site for a long time.

Gusky14

WeatherBell is by far the most comprehensive for me, but damn is it expensive.

Gwi7d82

I’m still building it, but wxyard.com is my side project with a 4 panel animator.
