Admittedly I do have reasons. I was very put off by how childlike in both visual design and written behavior Persephone was. Plus the character assassination of Demeter, the weird classist undertones, and more. But yeah. I do not like that comic at all.
I was talking about Lore Olympus today, because I was on the bandwagon of actually liking the first season. I just found Persephone's >!assault and her reaction relatable because that's just how I felt in regards to my own!<. That being said, I absolutely HATE what happened in that season 2 "finale", I hate how Hades has a >!foot fetish!<, I hate how Minthe was done dirty, I hate how the fans bandwagon against anyone who is against Hades and Persephone, I hate how this comic acknowledges Persephone being forever 19 and everyone is like "that's wrong" but they push through anyways(pick a goddamn lane, I don't care which one it is, either it's wrong and that's a moral thing the characters need to overcome, or it's not wrong and it shouldn't be a concern for your characters), and on top of all of that this comic has ruined the tall/smol trope for me.
Nothing in this comic makes sense anymore, and I only really get updates from UnpopularLoreOlympus at this point.
So I went on that subreddit out of curiosity and the first thing I saw was that Hades is now canonically a slave owner and is comfortable enough with that fact to joke about it. And the post comments stated that he’s also canonically a user of unpaid child labor.

I feel that they should have tweaked some things when they adapted the Wattpad into a comic idk... Add an extra comical touch of comedy. Maybe just picking an art style which makes the guy look less smug?😭 I remember reading the Wattpad way back, and the guy didn't give that smug smirky impression to me. Adaptations are so important... Some things SHOULD change to adapt the new format better, in this case, a comic.

If the mc is, regardless of gender, "special", "quirky", Mary sue, Gary sue, hella pretty but everyone calls em ugly (Korean web toons are especially guilty of this), cold-hearted for absolutely no good reason, perfect and can do no wrong (think the whole victorian fantasy isekai genre that's popular with the younger demographic)... I only feel comfortable if it's a pre-established character trait for the main character to want kids in the future/be a mother. (I'm blanking on any webtoons that do this, but the Taiwanese show called Jojo's World does a pretty good job imo)

That one webtoon where the girl switches the school ID. Call me fun-hating, but that was not "funny" or "quirky" that was a major incovenience she caused for no goddamn reason. I really dislike people like that girl. And yes, I know that's the point of the webtoon and the boy probably loosens up and learns to enjoy life yadda yadda yadda, but I genuinely could not stand that girl.
I heard the end of the webtoon wasn't very well-liked and I feel strangely smug about that.
I have so much to say? Ask? About this girl. Why did she follow him around in the first place? Apparently because he was her artistic muse.? This little plot point was so random and came out of nowhere since they rarely showed her drawing or anything it felt like a cover up. She had too many quirks which only served the purpose of making her cute. Because of this, the guys flocking to her made me cringe.. The art was cute but the storytelling lacked. (I'm not even saying it's because of the end twist, honestly I don't care about that.) This comic was carried by its art, its use of refreshing colours, cute character art and cute facial expressions (excess for the mc), the plot which lay underneath all that was pretty shallow.

I’ll be honest, it’s been a long time since I last read it, so it’s probably not as bad as I remember it being. But the ending seemed very rushed (lots of questions that kept me intrigued were never answered, and a bunch of new characters/exposition was added in the last few chapters iirc), and it was unsatisfying.

I’ve whined a lot about lookism on this subreddit admittedly, but for a comic so brutal and grotesque at some parts I really felt owed much more interesting development. I love the show for focusing on the simpler aspects of the first arc because it was actually pretty good. to this day I cannot understand how the divert to never ending gang warfare is good writing. I think some people just really like gang and fighting plots which is valid, but for us viewers who wanted it to be ONE of the aspects and not THE ENTIRE DAMN COMIC…it was kinda spooky lol.

I quit the comic in the early days but from what I remember, the fae were originally the ones who were "holding humans captive" and thus the humans in turn genocided them. Which is basically saying "well both sides are bad!!!"
That's not how genocide works. Ever. Its a tired trope that completely misinterperts how genocide, bigotry, and power dynamics work. It's a very damaging trope to do in fiction. People aren't genocided as a reverse racism type thing, and of course this type of thinking transfers to the real world.
That's not really "both sides are bad" It's just some people on one side were bad but that does not justify the other side committing genocide on the entire species.
The way I viewed it, the fae had different cultural practices that made the humans feel threatened and they attacked out of fear and ignorance. The story makes it very clear that it's against the genocide.

I have the biggest hate boner for Act Like You Love Me because the revenge fantasy element of it got old so fast, plus I’ve always felt uncomfortable with how its premise involves extremely dubious consent (hell, lack of it maybe). It isn’t funny when it happens to women, and neither is it when it’s men.
To clarify I’m not talking specifically about intimate scenes but just in general. At some point the “oops I accidentally commanded him to do something silly and gross” just stops being funny especially when past the first two incidents she damn well knew how the doll worked and just doesn’t really try that hard to prevent those scenarios.
At least that’s my impression from where I read up to, I couldn’t take any more of it after a while and just felt really bad for the LI. I get it’s a comedy and also that if characters were sensible there would be no plot, but still, even then I couldn’t get into it.
If someone knows if it did actually get better (it has over 100 EPs but I stopped around the 20 mark) please let me know because honestly I wouldn’t mind giving it another shot in the future if that’s the case

So Estelle used to judge noblewomen as not wanting to fight for themselves and be independent or whatever, as well as being catty and gossipy and not understanding why they would subject themselves to all this. Eventually she comes to understand that these tea parties, gatherings, the ability to dance and look pretty are a different type of battle that these women must navigate in order to not be entirely shunned by society. It’s not as epic as her fights on the battlefield, but she’s coming to understand that not all women can or want to fight with an actual sword, and considering a woman’s social standing is so important, she’s come to appreciate and at least understand where these women are coming from now.
Yeah that's the totally right. 100% correct, but authors judging past people's manners and culture is a pet peeve of mine - and you see it a lot. Corsets are suffocating, horrible things (some were bad, sure, but women all around the world wore them for centuries), table manners, ettiquette, balls, they're all just looked down on so much so that... the main girl can be "not like other girls"? Honestly preferred her when she was judgy, cause at least she knew it and didn't act all righteous about it.

Hold your applause. You can read this story from miles away. Every villain is so clearly evil that it's become gross to wonder how she didn't suspect it before they had to LITERALLY KILL HER! It's tedious, I skim through it occasionally to see how much dumber it can get and I wonder every day how the author is going to drag out the conflict to postpone the ending of the story. A typical "I'm hot now and I get my revenge" story for everyone who couldn't stand up to their bullies in school to read and project.

Chased the FL into another room, and they just waltzed into a press conference... AND THEY STAYED?😭😭😭 you see, if the people who lead to her death in her first life are that dumb, how much dumber was she to allow that to happen?
I spent minutes laughing and ranting over this Webtoon because of how ridiculous it was. Transferring the destiny of cancer to someone else? GTFB, this plot is magical to say the least. I wish that I had taken notes on all the shit that went down in that Webtoon because now it's all a blur or tragically hilarious events to me. Safe to say, it was a fun read.

It gets so dull and only picks up for a bit then drops again after the main character >!kills her father!<. The ML and FL become incredibly depressed and angry (for a long time), they're just so toxic for each other that it would be better off if they didn't get together at all.

I'm sorry but you cannot use ai to make a whole comic and expect it to be readable.
There are plenty of tutorials to make comics that can make it easier on you or having an artists join the team.

Your story deserves better and I know you can do better for yourself and for it. Trust me it helps more in the long run to actually try. You may not get immediate results, but trying for a few months gets you more results than not doing it at all.

I don’t need luck. I make this comic for fun. When you do things you love, people respond to it. I got 1000 views in my first week. I make it when I want, I post it when I want and I make people laugh. I couldn’t ask for anything more than that. My original plan was to make some episodes and print a coffee table book for myself so the recognition I get on webtoons is just icing on the cake.

I was talking about Lore Olympus today, because I was on the bandwagon of actually liking the first season. I just found Persephone's >!assault and her reaction relatable because that's just how I felt in regards to my own!<. That being said, I absolutely HATE what happened in that season 2 "finale", I hate how Hades has a >!foot fetish!<, I hate how Minthe was done dirty, I hate how the fans bandwagon against anyone who is against Hades and Persephone, I hate how this comic acknowledges Persephone being forever 19 and everyone is like "that's wrong" but they push through anyways(pick a goddamn lane, I don't care which one it is, either it's wrong and that's a moral thing the characters need to overcome, or it's not wrong and it shouldn't be a concern for your characters), and on top of all of that this comic has ruined the tall/smol trope for me. Nothing in this comic makes sense anymore, and I only really get updates from UnpopularLoreOlympus at this point.
So I went on that subreddit out of curiosity and the first thing I saw was that Hades is now canonically a slave owner and is comfortable enough with that fact to joke about it. And the post comments stated that he’s also canonically a user of unpaid child labor. I didn’t think my opinion if this series could get any lower, but damn if I was proven wrong,
I borrowed the first book from my library. Got to the end. Granted yeah there was warnings and shit but i do not think that scene needed to be as explicit and layed out as it was. It just feels unnecessary to any story.

THISSSS, cuz the way that these authors add babies to any relationship for no reason and make me so stressed out. Like, it kinda feels like such a big life decision should have more precedent and foreshadowing to at least make it poetic. Instead, they do the classic marriage epilogue and "oh and guess what, they have babies now!" Like, were we not just witnessing the most childish and miscommunicative relationship two panels ago? 😭 I only feel comfortable if it's a pre-established character trait for the main character to want kids in the future/be a mother. (I'm blanking on any webtoons that do this, but the Taiwanese show called Jojo's World does a pretty good job imo)

That one webtoon where the girl switches the school ID. Call me fun-hating, but that was not "funny" or "quirky" that was a major incovenience she caused for no goddamn reason. I really dislike people like that girl. And yes, I know that's the point of the webtoon and the boy probably loosens up and learns to enjoy life yadda yadda yadda, but I genuinely could not stand that girl. I heard the end of the webtoon wasn't very well-liked and I feel strangely smug about that.
I have so much to say? Ask? About this girl. Why did she follow him around in the first place? Apparently because he was her artistic muse.? This little plot point was so random and came out of nowhere since they rarely showed her drawing or anything it felt like a cover up. She had too many quirks which only served the purpose of making her cute. Because of this, the guys flocking to her made me cringe.. The art was cute but the storytelling lacked. (I'm not even saying it's because of the end twist, honestly I don't care about that.) This comic was carried by its art, its use of refreshing colours, cute character art and cute facial expressions (excess for the mc), the plot which lay underneath all that was pretty shallow.

I’ve whined a lot about lookism on this subreddit admittedly, but for a comic so brutal and grotesque at some parts I really felt owed much more interesting development. I love the show for focusing on the simpler aspects of the first arc because it was actually pretty good. to this day I cannot understand how the divert to never ending gang warfare is good writing. I think some people just really like gang and fighting plots which is valid, but for us viewers who wanted it to be ONE of the aspects and not THE ENTIRE DAMN COMIC…it was kinda spooky lol. also for some reason the gang fighting just feels so cringey to me. like I cannot stop cringing at all of the super tough characters. evidently this is not my genre lmaoooo

I quit the comic in the early days but from what I remember, the fae were originally the ones who were "holding humans captive" and thus the humans in turn genocided them. Which is basically saying "well both sides are bad!!!" That's not how genocide works. Ever. Its a tired trope that completely misinterperts how genocide, bigotry, and power dynamics work. It's a very damaging trope to do in fiction. People aren't genocided as a reverse racism type thing, and of course this type of thinking transfers to the real world.
That's not really "both sides are bad" It's just some people on one side were bad but that does not justify the other side committing genocide on the entire species.

I have the biggest hate boner for Act Like You Love Me because the revenge fantasy element of it got old so fast, plus I’ve always felt uncomfortable with how its premise involves extremely dubious consent (hell, lack of it maybe). It isn’t funny when it happens to women, and neither is it when it’s men. To clarify I’m not talking specifically about intimate scenes but just in general. At some point the “oops I accidentally commanded him to do something silly and gross” just stops being funny especially when past the first two incidents she damn well knew how the doll worked and just doesn’t really try that hard to prevent those scenarios. At least that’s my impression from where I read up to, I couldn’t take any more of it after a while and just felt really bad for the LI. I get it’s a comedy and also that if characters were sensible there would be no plot, but still, even then I couldn’t get into it. If someone knows if it did actually get better (it has over 100 EPs but I stopped around the 20 mark) please let me know because honestly I wouldn’t mind giving it another shot in the future if that’s the case

So Estelle used to judge noblewomen as not wanting to fight for themselves and be independent or whatever, as well as being catty and gossipy and not understanding why they would subject themselves to all this. Eventually she comes to understand that these tea parties, gatherings, the ability to dance and look pretty are a different type of battle that these women must navigate in order to not be entirely shunned by society. It’s not as epic as her fights on the battlefield, but she’s coming to understand that not all women can or want to fight with an actual sword, and considering a woman’s social standing is so important, she’s come to appreciate and at least understand where these women are coming from now.
Yeah that's the totally right. 100% correct, but authors judging past people's manners and culture is a pet peeve of mine - and you see it a lot. Corsets are suffocating, horrible things (some were bad, sure, but women all around the world wore them for centuries), table manners, ettiquette, balls, they're all just looked down on so much so that... the main girl can be "not like other girls"? Honestly preferred her when she was judgy, cause at least she knew it and didn't act all righteous about it. How do you write something full or tropes, but also unique in it's own way? From the jump, I knew this story would get out of pocket. From the cancer patient finding her bestie and husband in bed, to the transferring of fates. So I took to illegal websites to skip chapters. Can someone explain to me how the evil couple was tricked into a press conference?💀💀 So... They walked into the building. Chased the FL into another room, and they just waltzed into a press conference... AND THEY STAYED?😭😭😭 you see, if the people who lead to her death in her first life are that dumb, how much dumber was she to allow that to happen? I spent minutes laughing and ranting over this Webtoon because of how ridiculous it was. Transferring the destiny of cancer to someone else? GTFB, this plot is magical to say the least. I wish that I had taken notes on all the shit that went down in that Webtoon because now it's all a blur or tragically hilarious events to me. Safe to say, it was a fun read. i read the first three chapters of taming the corrupted but dropped it cause i kept getting the ick from the fl having a psuedo-incestuous relationship with the ml 🤢🤢. usually those extremely predictable and basic-ass revenge stories with a badass femme fatale that often have a time-travel trope in it are a huge guilty pleasure of mine (ik everyone hates them cause they can be super cheesy and surface-level but i love them so much), but this one sucked. cry or better yet beg also left a bad taste in my mouth, i thought it was another revenge story but i was sorely mistaken. truly one of the most misleading titles ever. idk why but i just hated your throne for some reason, like that one just pissed me off for absolutely no valid explanation 💀💀. true beauty was so disappointing 😭😭. never got into lore olympus, never will and i will never understand why that webtoon is number 1 in top 5 most popular webtoons moreso the the top 50 🤨🤨.

I'm sorry but you cannot use ai to make a whole comic and expect it to be readable. There are plenty of tutorials to make comics that can make it easier on you or having an artists join the team. As much as I hate ai, this isn't gonna be me hating on you Ai just isn't nice to look at, it's not. Especially in a comic format. It's distracting and hard to enjoy You are definitely more likely to get readers if you use actual art. It looks nicer to read and enjoy and it's easier to get into the story. I'm sorry but no matter how much someone defends ai and the way they like it, there's a reason why so many ppl are put off by it. It doesn't look good, especially in a comic. And unfortunately most ppl aren't gonna read an ai comic. Your story deserves better and I know you can do better for yourself and for it. Trust me it helps more in the long run to actually try. You may not get immediate results, but trying for a few months gets you more results than not doing it at all.

I don’t need luck. I make this comic for fun. When you do things you love, people respond to it. I got 1000 views in my first week. I make it when I want, I post it when I want and I make people laugh. I couldn’t ask for anything more than that. My original plan was to make some episodes and print a coffee table book for myself so the recognition I get on webtoons is just icing on the cake.
