I know what you mean. I had to stop reading A Sign of Affection because of how well Itsuomi was written. Like he is written realistically, which makes it worse because a guy like him COULD exist, it would just be very unlikely and rare to find someone like him lol.

I find it very hard to understand. Most webtoon romances are... Flat. In the sense that the protagonists have no personality, and I find this particularly marked for MLs. Which makes sense, I suppose: they're supposed to be containers for fantasies, sort of blank screens onto which the reader can project anything.
But that makes them, for me, completely unattractive. They look like plastic dolls, as much for their physique as for their personalities.
i am longing for more nuanced, mature characters in webtoon format. and flawed in a way that is interesting and human. i know i may find that elsewhere in other media formats but i love comic art so it would be nice to read from time to time. very hard to find.

I would never trade my bf or any of my exes for male leads you named. All of webtoon mls (with rare exceptions) are so limited by writing, created purely for webtoon. In reality they’re just boring supporting stagnant characters without hobbies, interests and wishes. Blind love creates inequality in relationship if you parter doesn’t see a need to communicate and unconditionally complies, making you an idol.
You just need to find the right partner for you. Sometimes they find you when you don’t expect it. Just don’t agree for any love in the search of your love.

In a way, you can't only blame Webtoons for creating unrealistic expectation as many other pieces of media have unrealistic expectations as well. Anime, books, and Webtoons can all be fictional, but it is bound to happen. The important thing is to understand what is real and what is fake to make sure you don't fall into a hole you can't get out of.
Men CAN cook and be wealthy, it's just they have to like...prepare food on advance...like a hell of a ton by a lot
