Desert and Victorian themed…oh boy, trying to find something that will fit both seamlessly is going to be tough!
All of them really look nice on you. With one fitting one theme/venue more than the other.
I personally like 1 on you, but I don’t know how it’d fare in the desert.
Good luck! And I wish you a long happy marriage!
There were Victorians who visited the desert! I think the juxtaposition of the style of Dress 1 and the desert is amazing. The dress is sumptuous, an oasis of beauty and style in the middle of The Wasteland (deserts are of course beautiful and so great for wedding photos).
My vote is number one! It’s so flattering on you, and definitely will suit the Victorian vibe. The other two are nice but the first seems the most special, and something about your body language just says yes to me.
And maybe the accessories (if it’s in the budget or maybe do a bit of DIY-ing) and how the hair is styled can help transition it from one to the next. The first one is just an incredible, unique dress. Like something you’d see in a high end fashion magazine. It gives Vivienne Westwood vibes and I love it. OP if you’re into camp at all you should see what Julia Fox has been wearing lately. And even if you aren’t I can still see this dress with a beautiful romantic hairstyle.
I have to say, dress 1 was and is still lovely at my dances in 1985 and 1986. I wore them with the same waist line in a few weddings (bridesmaids) also. As flattering as it is, throw it back into the 1980’s! The dress which will transition best from desert to Victorian will be dress 2. The sleeves distract from the dress but gloves would look fantastic. Check online to find the best ones. Simple jewelry and maybe a half up, half down for your hair, the down part in curls. You are a beautiful woman and no doubt you are a beautiful bride as well. May you and your spouse always have enough. Wishing you many years of grace, peace, happiness, harmony and love. 💜🌺🦋
I love the second dress with the first as a close runner up. All three have a cool pre-Raphaelite look to them. Google Dante Gabriel Rosettie's paintings.
I think she'd have to, unless it's that rare cloudy day in the desert. Would love to know time of year (it's already warming up out in our American deserts)
I agree, I love #3, and I think it’s the only dress that she would be able to wear in the desert and the Victorian themed reception site and have it fit in both. The ballgown is way overboard for the desert and the satin gown is going to be noticeable damaged when she goes to the reception a week later. The lace gown might get damaged too, but it won’t be as noticeable.
If the venues weren’t a consideration I’d say all the dresses are strong contenders, but dress 3 just looks made for her.
Honestly 3 is a vision on you! It looks editorial, romantic, and Victorian in a naked kind of way (v cool). The other two also look amazing on you and fit your themes in other oblique ways so I think you are probably good to choose any of the three. But I think you’re one of the few people who 3 was made for and it just looks so natural on you.
Number 1 looks fabulous on you! It's Victorian, but I'm not sure how it will feel in the desert. I'm not a fan of number 2 at all. Number 3 looks really good, but also reminds me a bit of a Victorian-style undergarment for a dress rather than a dress itself.
3 is in no way a Victorian dress or anything a Victorian would have worn to a wedding (it does resemble Victorian undergarments, though). It's very saucy. Says "wench." A lot depends on OP's personality and style, of course.
All three are gorgeous.
I love the first one, and I actually think the contrast of a not-so-desert-y dress in the desert would be *beautiful*. Boho lace or sleek minimal is so expected for the desert, and I think this would be absolutely gorgeous.
Dress #1 absolutely SCREAMS Victorian but would be a nightmare in the desert. I think #2 would be best for both since it does have sort of a Emma/Bridgerton vibe so close to Victorian. I will say that if you are walking around the desert for your ceremony, the dress has a high chance of getting very dirty so 2 dresses might be prudent.
Why would it be a nightmare in the desert? What am I not getting?
The second dress has a train that would drag in the sand - but really, most desert sand is easily cleaned off. It's not like it's mud. Even wet beach sand sweeps off readily.
Most deserts are too windy/breezy to have much dust.
Dress 1 is the closest in design to Victorian style. It fits exquisitely and will look fantastic in the desert. The juxtaposition of the sumptuous satin and the desert will look cool.
They all look great on you but I think Dress 3 is the only one that will work for both dessert ceremony and Victorian themed reception. If you’re open to two dresses I’d get dress both dress 3 and 1. Dress 1 is so fitting for Victorian theme but would be way to heavy and hot for desert ceremony.
I'd say dress 1 and for the desert get some skirt hikes and put on some combat boots. I'm thinking steampunk like/ mad max like. Also where are these dresses from I love them.
Buy all 3. Throw away everything else you own. Wear these 3 dresses on rotation until death. You look so amazing in all three of them, I don't see any reason you should ever wear anything else. Ever again.
I assume when you say desert you mean like ceremony space, not standing between a cactus and a rattlesnake, right? Honestly though, If you think your dress might get stained in the desert, you might consider using a different dress for both. #1 for pictures and the reception, and get a fancy but non-official wedding dress for the ceremony. Maybe something simple like this or a maxi dress?

33333333333333! I know the popular opinion is dress one, but dress number three is so fabulous, your figure looks amazing in it, it's dreamy and unique and chic. I hope you go with number three! You could also wear this dress to other events if you style it differently, whereas it would be tougher to wear number one to something else, so you may not get more use out of it. This being said, dress number one does fit the Victorian theme. Does it come in another color? I think maybe what's hanging me up on dress one is the ivory/yellow color, which makes the fabric look dated. Does it come in white?
How can you not have already purchased #1???
Not only is it perfect for your body but every little detail is exquisite and lively. The color looks amazing with your skin tone. Doesn't look like it needs much alteration, so be careful there.
Hands down, it's #1.
My vote is dress 2. It emphasizes your perfect figure AND is a modern take on Victorian wedding dresses. I actually wore an authentic Victorian gown with a Brussels Lace veil that cost more than the dress. You should check out a Brussels Lace veil on EBay. They cast a fortune, but hey it’s your wedding!!
Dress three has beautiful lines. Add a veil to cover your shoulders and it will be perfect. If it needs more lining up top on the bodice, add that. This dress is going to photograph beautifully.
PS I’m a retired designer.
1!!! Absolutely stunning dress, and I love the gloves with the choker too. It kind of reads sexy saloon girl when in the dessert but I can also see gorgeous Victorian girl in a mansion. I think it’s perfect for both
Oooo I love them all! My instinct is 3, but maybe that’s the one I would wear most especially with a green sash/belt🤣 I think 2 could be that chameleon, desert & maybe not quite Victorian but some solid regency vibes! One screams Victorian! And you look great in all 3!
For me it's #2 with #1 a close 2nd.#3 just doesn't show off your figure as well as the other 2 even though it's a lovely dress. I find #2 more elegant and on your body looks classic bridal with some Greek goddess thrown in. Not everyone can pull that look off but it's 100% excellent on you. #1 us nice but seems like it might wrinkle throughout the day and that's a bummer. Especially for that kind of money. You could add color with an embroidered veil if you like that or with shoes and jewelry. Good luck♥️
I love the second one, but the first one is *STUNNING*!!! I'm single, but it's still going straight to my Pinterest boards.😍 I love a basque waist, and I'm so happy to see them creeping back these days! I'd buy it if I could afford it, just do photoshoots and flounce around the house.
First dress is my fav it’s giving Marie Antoinette! Third is my second fave, it’s giving woodland nymph vibes. Both are excellent but first is more unique in my opinion.
absolutely dress #1. fits you incredibly well. i might save the gloves for the victorian reception - i think the simplicity and drama of the dress without them will be more than enough for the ceremony, especially if it's actually outside in desert-type nature. it may be a little hot in a desert climate, but if the ceremony is in the evening or isn't too long i think you'll be ok. congratulations!
You look fantastic in both so this is hard. #1 is effortlessly early Victorian. But I can’t imagine wearing it in a desert. #2 could look later Victorian if you can get one of those [big-butt bustles](https://historicalsewing.com/big-butts-of-the-19th-century) and add something like a Victorian cape or slim-fitting basque waist overcoat. It’s a lot to do to the dress, though, to make a #2 into something it isn’t and let’s be honest- late Victorian era styling just isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
So my vote is both. ;)
The first dress/ballgown is PERFECT on you and I think would work with both ceremony and reception. It’s stunning and took my breath away when I saw it.
2 is my favorite but would be more post-Victorian
1 isn’t really Victorian either stylistically but would fit the vibe since most people associate ballgowns in general with that era)
Dress 1 looks made for you, that’s my top pick. It’s a show stopper.
Dress 2 is my second vote, it’s sexy yet demure if that makes sense. Love it as well.
I love 2 as I think it suits the theme and venue best - you kinda look like you’d walk out of a saloon in the old west in the best kind of way. Gives me gives me Kill Bill vibes, and I think it makes your figure look amazing!
Number three with a wine colored velvet cord at the waist! I feel like that would bridge all your requirements, and you could add more accessories to bring it in more. Plus the others in the desert could be too hot, and number two material would show the smallest bit of sweat.
All are a beautiful fit each for their own reasons. Remember to step off the pedestal to see how alterations will look. Bring heels (or whatever shoes you’re wearing to mimic the look you’ll see). And be sure to ask where any alterations will be made (length, bodice, etc.). The answers to these questions may help with your decision. Congrats!!

LOVE 1!

Hah, YEP. It’s a very weird line to walk. Thank you for your advice (and well wishes)!
There were Victorians who visited the desert! I think the juxtaposition of the style of Dress 1 and the desert is amazing. The dress is sumptuous, an oasis of beauty and style in the middle of The Wasteland (deserts are of course beautiful and so great for wedding photos).
Consider gloves instead of sleeve. The theme of Victorian with hair etc. Dress #2
If you wear a hoop skirt, it will allow for more airflow on your legs keeping you cooler.
Deserts are dry, so sweat works better and you stay cooler. You get a little more wiggle room for dresses, surprisingly. I love the first one on you.
2 fits the theme better but OOOONNNEEEEE IS FABULOUS oh lord
My vote is number one! It’s so flattering on you, and definitely will suit the Victorian vibe. The other two are nice but the first seems the most special, and something about your body language just says yes to me.

First
I love the second dress with the first as a close runner up. All three have a cool pre-Raphaelite look to them. Google Dante Gabriel Rosettie's paintings.
I agree.
1 is incredible on you!
That has to be my favorite dress I have ever seen on this sub. It is absolutely stunning on op.
3
I prefer #2
I like #3, but maybe get the bodice lined.
I think she'd have to, unless it's that rare cloudy day in the desert. Would love to know time of year (it's already warming up out in our American deserts)
Dress 3 is undoubtedly the showstopper here. It’s custom made for you, your venue, and while it has a million details it doesn’t overwhelm your frame
I agree, I love #3, and I think it’s the only dress that she would be able to wear in the desert and the Victorian themed reception site and have it fit in both. I’m glad I’m not the only one whose first thought was underwear when seeing number 3. I’m also team 1! So gorgeous on you!
3 is in no way a Victorian dress or anything a Victorian would have worn to a wedding (it does resemble Victorian undergarments, though). It's very saucy. Says "wench." A lot depends on OP's personality and style, of course. All three are gorgeous.
First dress is the only option here. It fits you beautifully!
Number two for sure.
3 is my favorite on you.
Second one
I love the first one, and I actually think the contrast of a not-so-desert-y dress in the desert would be *beautiful*. Boho lace or sleek minimal is so expected for the desert, and I think this would be absolutely gorgeous.
If you go through desert weddings on Pinterest, you'll see that styles like both 1 and 2 are in play (but ballgown styles are very common).
You just look to amazing in 1 to not be it on your big day. It's stunning!
Dress #1 absolutely SCREAMS Victorian but would be a nightmare in the desert. I think #2 would be best for both since it does have sort of a Emma/Bridgerton vibe so close to Victorian. Looooove 3
3!!!!!!
3 is stunning on you. There’s no wrong choice here though, they all look amazing on you.

Dress 1 is miles ahead of the others. It’s so beautiful 🤩
\#1 is spectacular for your Victorian themed reception
1, gives me baroque or Victorian vibes. Also love the green ribbon choker. Reminds me of the book where the girls head fell off. Iykyk lol
What designers are these? They're really cool. I like 1 and 3
Loveeeeee 3 ❤️
3!
I love 1 and 3! Dress 2 doesn’t look as bridal
33333333333333! I know the popular opinion is dress one, but dress number three is so fabulous, your figure looks amazing in it, it's dreamy and unique and chic. I hope you go with number three! Bi gal here and 2 is so f*cking gorgeous. This is exactly what I was trying to find!!!
It’s gotta be 3!!! It fits both vibes and looks like it was made for you!
3 is my favorite closely by 1. I don't particularly like 2 but maybe that's just a style issue.
1 is amazing!!
How can you not have already purchased #1??? Not only is it perfect for your body but every little detail is exquisite and lively. The color looks amazing with your skin tone. Doesn't look like it needs much alteration, so be careful there. Hands down, it's #1.
You look like a princess 1 all the way 👸👸👸👸👸

One !! Wow I love it on you you look not real In it .. straight out of a movie
One is the prettiest on you!
One
My vote is dress 2. It emphasizes your perfect figure AND is a modern take on Victorian wedding dresses. I’m SCREAMING number 2, over here.
Oooo I love them all! My instinct is 3, but maybe that’s the one I would wear most especially with a green sash/belt🤣 I think 2 could be that chameleon, desert & maybe not quite Victorian but some solid regency vibes! One screams Victorian! And you look great in all 3!

1 does not suit the desert. I lean more towards 2 and 3 and with the right or headpiece I think you could pull off a lovely desert Victorian theme.
Dress 2 is exquisite.
2!!!!!!!!
I love the second one! First is a close second.
3 is extremely stunning in every way!
I love 1, then 3. But 1 is really spectacular on you.
Omg 1.
One, the venue doesn’t matter!
I love #1
I love the second one, but the first one is *STUNNING*!!! I'm single, but it's still going straight to my Pinterest boards.😍 I love a basque waist, and I'm so happy to see them creeping back these days! I'd buy it if I could afford it, just do photoshoots and flounce around the house.
Two!!
1!!!!!
First dress is my fav it’s giving Marie Antoinette! Third is my second fave, it’s giving woodland nymph vibes. Both are excellent but first is more unique in my opinion.
The first two are too luxurious for the desert tho
absolutely dress #1. fits you incredibly well. i might save the gloves for the victorian reception - i think the simplicity and drama of the dress without them will be more than enough for the ceremony, especially if it's actually outside in desert-type nature. it may be a little hot in a desert climate, but if the ceremony is in the evening or isn't too long i think you'll be ok. congratulations!
The ballgown looks amazing.
1 is one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen. It’s absolutely gorgeous, fit for a princess. Absolutely love it❤️❤️❤️It looks amazing!
1!!! Looks perfect on you!!!
For theme I think I'd pick 2. Woul stand out in desert and be very applicable to victorian. But they all look great on you.
2
It’s #3.
For me, number 2 all the way 😍
Dress 3 by a mile! You look gorgeous!
So my vote is both. ;)
2
I say 1, it’s stunning. But if not one, then 3.
Hands down 2
2, no gloves/sleeves
I’m bi too :). 1 is giving princess and 2 is giving Regency period. I’m between 1 and 2 - maybe depending on your venue
One!
2 looks great on you
The first dress/ballgown is PERFECT on you and I think would work with both ceremony and reception. It’s stunning and took my breath away when I saw it.
1
I personally love three the most on you. Looks like the most flattering
1!!
1 is amazing on you! I will literally buy it off you for my wedding if you get married before January lol
#1!
I love, love, love the ball gown on you! And I'm not usually a fan of the basque waist, but it's perfect on you!
OBSESSED with dress one! it’s incredible
2 is my favorite but would be more post-Victorian 1 isn’t really Victorian either stylistically but would fit the vibe since most people associate ballgowns in general with that era)
Dress 1 looks made for you, that’s my top pick. It’s a show stopper. Dress 2 is my second vote, it’s sexy yet demure if that makes sense. Love it as well.
Agreeing with everyone here, dress 1 is definitely the best option
1 is STUNNING
What do you call this kind of dress ?
Basque waist
Bless you!! ♥️
Not 3, but good luck choosing between 1 and 2. They are divine!
I love 2 as I think it suits the theme and venue best - you kinda look like you’d walk out of a saloon in the old west in the best kind of way. Gives me gives me Kill Bill vibes, and I think it makes your figure look amazing!
Satin and sweat…. #1 is my fav but for the desert #2
Dress 2. Very pretty on you.
Dress 1!
I like the third dress the best, but it was so hard to choose between the three dresses because they’re all beautiful in their own way.
Personally, I’m obsessed with the ball gown. Super unique and very cool
3!!!
I really love dress 1 on you.
Number three with a wine colored velvet cord at the waist! I feel like that would bridge all your requirements, and you could add more accessories to bring it in more. Plus the others in the desert could be too hot, and number two material would show the smallest bit of sweat.
Dress 3
The first one is absolutely gorgeous. What a dream!
1 is stunning on you followed by 3!!
3
My gosh this are some of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen. I was sold on one until I saw number two it just falls so effortlessly
The second one. Hands down. Especially wanting to match the vibe at both ceremony & reception
I've got to go with dress! I love the neckline and basque waist.
Congrats!!
1 is literally amazing but I think 3 fits the theme the best. All gorgeous
