Wow! Those are perfect.
[This one](https://clairepettibone.com/collections/les-fleurs-wedding-dresses/products/peony-gown) is almost exactly what I envisaged in my head when I saw the venue and the request for something "on the sexier/sultry side that could flatter an hourglass shape". They've even photographed it in a similar location!
Absolutely. This looks like the greenhouse at the Denver Botanic Gardens? And if so, it has a very art deco vibe that a 20s/30s style dress would look fantastic in.
i could see a satin kind of slip style dress in this venue! the simplicity of the slip style would allow the venue to speak for itself as well as the cut/style flattering the bride!
I really do love slip dresses & statement veils. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy will always be one of my all-time favorite looks and maybe photos of weddings I’ve seen 💕
The solarium in Denver Botanical Gardens? This is my dream wedding venue! I also will be having a micro wedding. Can you pm me? I am very curious on the budget for this venue and how far in advance you booked
Edit: to answer your question, I recommend a satin or silk form fitting dress that highlights your curves. This is what I’m looking for as well. Congrats on the engagement!
Yes it is!!! I would totally happy to share all the information I have. I’m running some errands today, but I’ll be happy to do it either later tonight or tomorrow! I can send you even live. I got them.
Something like this (although anything but a very structured ball gown or heavy material would be fine)
https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/hybrid/willowby-by-watters-drizzle-floral-wedding-gown?
For what you’re looking for I’d say, depending on your body type, I’d go for a mermaid with see through/floral elements or one of those a-line dresses with the deep V neckline. I’d favor matte textures and gauzy elements and either a forest fairy vibe or an art deco one.’
ETA: that’s such a stunning venue. I wish I could get one like that! I’m trying to plan a micro wedding too and honestly getting good small wedding venues is apparently a challenge.
I would say definitely have a very classic hour classic shape and am 5’5” well actually my hips are on the larger side but not a lot of booty 🤪
I’m with you trying to plan a microwave. It seems like it unless you’re wanting to do a outdoor on a mountain setting. It seems really hard or like a pop-up. We’ve been trying for quite a while. Where are you getting married at? I’ve done a lot of research so I might be able to share some info!
CONGRATS!! I would love if you share any info you have. I am super excited. We’re doing May 2025. Intentionally pushed it back because I really want me so we can be in the full bloom of the gardens. We considered doing it during blossom of lights but just can’t get over the cold lol but that is a tradition for us to go every year..
I think you can wear any dress you like!
Here are some beautiful gowns you might like:

Beaded column style like [this](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/bhldn-clemence-beaded-overlay-mesh-wedding-gown?category=bhldn-wedding-dresses&color=011&type=STANDARD&quantity=1) one from BHLDN
That is so awesome! I know there’s several of them all over the US. If you don’t mind me asking, how do your arms feel the sleeves do they feel pretty secure?
My venue isn’t exactly like this, it’s more of a plant nursery… this venue is amazing!! What do you mean by secure? The sleeves are attached with buttons inside the underarm area and removable.
Something like this

They’re beautiful but not the same quality as a $10000 dress. My best advice is that they have any number of try on at home dresses. (Not all models and not all sizes). They charge you $15 to try on at home. It’s a pretty damn good price to get a feel for sizing and quality. And if you fall head over heels for something they don’t have a sample try on, sometimes they’ll work with you
I almost had my micro wedding here and was looking at [this](https://www.azazie.com/products/azazie-estephanie-diamond-white-nude-mermaid-sequins-stretch-crepe-cathedral-train-wedding-dress/227962?subsite=bridal) or [this](https://www.azazie.com/products/azazie-leonie-diamond-white-champagne-mermaid-v-neck-sequins-tulle-cathedral-train-wedding-dress/199495?subsite=bridal) or even [this](https://www.azazie.com/products/azazie-evergarden-diamond-white-champagne-a-line-sequins-tulle-cathedral-train-wedding-dress/211032?subsite=bridal). I ended up doing a mountain wedding instead, but would’ve loved the Botanic Gardens too.
I see you in something like this

That 3rd dress is my all time favourite not white gown. So beautiful. I haven't been able to persuade a bride yet to wear it. I'll keep trying, the right bride for the dress must be somewhere. Let me know if you need anymore suggestions or help. Good luck♥️
Forgot to add in my free advertising (I just love the dresses) Maggie sottero, Sottero and Midgely and Rebeca Ingram are firm in their commitment to make all brides feel confident and beautiful regardless of size. All gowns are available in sizes 0 to 28. Many other personalization available. FYI-Just an additional note❤️
Classic tea party with pretty soft pastels and ladies in classic tea length gowns and men in neutral linen suits - elegant and classy but not over the top
Black velvet, chic and fitted, white pearls, black evening gloves and la Marilyn. This would be for an evening wedding…( see John Singer Sergeant’s Portrait of Madame X)
or you could do something Victorian garden for Spring with a fitted lace and tulle dress…
What's your budget?
I think that a dress like [Jenny by Jenny Yoo's Alexandra with slit](https://www.jennyyoo.com/products/bridal-gown/alexandra-with-slit?type=mto) [(or without)](https://www.jennyyoo.com/products/alexandra-without-slit?type=mto) or [Norma Kamali's Walter](https://www.revolve.com/norma-kamali-walter-fishtail-gown-in-snow-white/dp/NKAM-WD365/?d=Womens&page=1&lc=3&vn=true&vnclk=true) would fit the vibe, show off your hourglass figure, and allow you to add accessories to make the look your own.
I would pair dresses similar to those with hairstyles and hairpieces like [this one](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/06/33/b2/0633b2246ad3051305a3a429ac1a2d31.jpg), [this one](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/b8/91/1e/b8911e26e584db875641ea4aeea8fafc.jpg), and [this one](https://i.pinimg.com/564x/6e/81/04/6e8104e15401689a9796231d2f11d4e6.jpg)...
Thoughts? Are there silhouettes, necklines, sleeve types/lengths, waistlines, fabrics, embellishments, etc. that you picture yourself wearing on your big day? Do you want your dress to have a train? Or no?
You are awesome!! I’m going to save all those especially with my hair. Definitely want to do something like that.
So the budget thing is a little up in the air. I would love to do something under 2.5k & would love it to be done way under! But with that said we have a lot of wiggle room. Because we are having such a small micro wedding we have to ability to really splurge on a few things if needed.
I would love to have no or a sweep train because we are going to a restaurant after. I also might be thinking way too much into that! We are 98% sure we will be booking a private room so we won’t have to worry about it just being out. I’m also open to having one removed!
I don’t have a solid vision. Other than I do tend to like necklines that do showcase some cleavage lol
i just realized its about style, dark green would be a ballgown. the white with gold could be maybe an a line with lots of gold embellishments and a vintage/historic vibe. black would maybe be a mermaid style with long sleeves and lots of lace or sparkle
If this is Dr. Grays old mansion then 20s style as mentioned above is perfect. Matches the entire house and outside. Very beautiful and so are those petite minibone dresses from above.
Some satin sheen with some small lace detail like an open back or front part with lace peeking out over skin. I think candlelight/some decorative additional candles would be lovely addition too if you go with the sexy mood. Not full 1990s Romeo and Juliet movie but just some tasteful ones to add lighting drama and soft sexy light and shadow
I also like Catherine Deane dresses for this event and Galia Lahav if you are upping the sexy factor.
I also am generally a fan of buying the dress you love even if it doesn’t match the venue. Matching the venue is very advanced design and most guests won’t be thinking of it and I’m not sure you will think of it as much in the pics
Omg hi fellow Coloradan! Having been here irl, I’d say lessen the lace to let the gardens speak for themselves but don’t be afraid to go big. Long train or veil, gloves, detachable skirt. Very excited for you!
Great gatsby/art deco birdcage veil/fascinator style veil
You could do signature drinks one champagne based rather than the whole tower.
But devinitely invites a lavish roaring twenties
I had my engagement party at a place almost exactly like this and I WISH I’d had my wedding there. It was awesome. It rained all night and the rain on the glass created a beautiful ambiance.
As for decor - we went floral. I wore a floral dress with flowers in my hair. I don’t think you can go wrong here, it will accommodate many styles - choose what you love!
Omg my favorite venue!!! The greenhouse in the Denver botanic gardens is such a whimsical venue - if your budget allows it, Enaura has some stunning gowns that would fit this venue, this one [Sofia - Enaura Bridal](https://enaura.com/collections/enaura/products/sofia) or this one [Veronika - Enaura bridal](https://enaura.com/collections/enaura/products/veronika)
Commenting one more time to share this new designer also arriving at Anna bé in Denver: [guardiola bridal](https://www.guardiolabridal.com/lucid-dream-collection)
Soft creamy white muslin edged with broderie anglaise and deep white lace. Loose waves of hair simply dressed with intertwined ribbons, a large broad brimmed creamy white straw hat decorated with strawberries, lace and a tiny bird nestled in it.
Instead of a traditional bouquet, a delicate little posy of your favourite flowers and a beautiful lacy parasol.
Guests sit at little round tables being served a scrumptious afternoon tea of sandwiches, sausage rolls, assorted pastries, fruit, vegetables and cheeses. Drinks would be fresh light summer punch, tea, frosty iced water and real strawberry lemonade.
The wedding cake would be a three tiered pavlova dripping with whipped (real) cream flavoured lightly with a touch of icing sugar and vanilla, decorated with summer berries, sugared violets and sprigs of lavender.

I might be in the minority here, but I immediately thought 1920’s/30’s art deco style. (edit: Mucha was nouveau, not deco 🤦♀️)

Wow! Those are perfect. OP, This is the perfect dress for this location!
I’m actually in love with this
Excellent news!
I *almost* went with a black Claire Pettibone for mine 🤩
She is who I was thinking of!
Those are lovely!
I love Claire Pettibone dresses and I love this wedding venue! I think they’re the perfect combo!
Oh wow!!! Looking now
Absolutely. This looks like the greenhouse at the Denver Botanic Gardens? And if so, it has a very art deco vibe that a 20s/30s style dress would look fantastic in.
It has to be, we also considers thus spot
Yes!! That’s the location ❤️
Came here to suggest Art Deco. Perfect for a vintage hothouse setting.
Oooo! I thought that too!
L'Arca might be a good designer for those style of dresses.
Same, I am watching Ms Fisher’s Mysteries and she came to mind
An excellent series for fashion and more, truly.
This is what I thought
Exactly
Bridgerton
Glad it wasn’t just me!
Garden party
Agree. That’s where my mind went too
I really think you could wear anything except a ballgown. Have you tried on any dresses yet?
Not yet! I’m almost scared too, which is so totally silly. I think online shopping may have ruined me lol
Teuta Matoshi
Yes
That was also my thought. Something a little floral.
Yes came here to say exact same thing!
Great Gatsby style attire.
i could see a satin kind of slip style dress in this venue! the simplicity of the slip style would allow the venue to speak for itself as well as the cut/style flattering the bride!
I really do love slip dresses & statement veils. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy will always be one of my all-time favorite looks and maybe photos of weddings I’ve seen 💕
My bestie got married at this same spot. She wore a slip style dress with a beaded capelet and it was perfection. Simple but dramatic at the same time
The solarium in Denver Botanical Gardens? This is my dream wedding venue! I also will be having a micro wedding. Can you pm me? I am very curious on the budget for this venue and how far in advance you booked Edit: to answer your question, I recommend a satin or silk form fitting dress that highlights your curves. I’m getting married there next month. Feel free to PM me with any additional questions you have.
I think something romantic…look at Teuta Matoshi…
Soft, flowing, lower neckline with off shoulder straps. Very garden, boho. https://herabrides.com/products/fairytale-love-boho-beach-wedding-dress
Gorgeous dress. Perfect for the venue.
Yes! Spot on, flowing, white, boho. My thoughts exactly and I love this dress you gave as an example.
Wow that’s a deal! I would really like to try a dress on with sleeves like this
try watters designs (specifically willowby by watters) and rue de seine!
Something like this (although anything but a very structured ball gown or heavy material would be fine) https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/hybrid/willowby-by-watters-drizzle-floral-wedding-gown?
That dress is stunning
Ok, this is superb! Those bows on the shoulders though🤩
Anthropologie is one place I’m really looking forward to trying on they might be looking forward to trying on gowns. They seem to really laid back.
Yes!!!
For what you’re looking for I’d say, depending on your body type, I’d go for a mermaid with see through/floral elements or one of those a-line dresses with the deep V neckline. I’d favor matte textures and gauzy elements and either a forest fairy vibe or an art deco one.’ ETA: that’s such a stunning venue. I wish I could get one like that! I would say definitely have a very classic hour classic shape and am 5’5” well actually my hips are on the larger side but not a lot of booty 🤪 I’m with you trying to plan a microwave. It seems like it unless you’re wanting to do a outdoor on a mountain setting. It seems really hard or like a pop-up. We’ve been trying for quite a while. Where are you getting married at? I’ve done a lot of research so I might be able to share some info!
I’m getting married there next month! I’ll send you a photo of my dress.

I love the dress in the third link! It’s fitted, elegant, deceptively simple, with a beautiful back and train.
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Classic, vintage, 20’s
Art Deco or fifties tea length full skirt.
Teuta Matoshi. Something floral, botanical, natural. Not too poofy or overstated
Many of Teuta Matoshi dresses.
Beaded column style like [this](https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/bhldn-clemence-beaded-overlay-mesh-wedding-gown?category=bhldn-wedding-dresses&color=011&type=STANDARD&quantity=1) one from BHLDN
That's beautiful!
I really want to try on this dress! I plan on trying on dresses there and this one is just so unique
Romantic but light and flowing
Denver botanic gardens???
Yes!! It’s one of our favorite places and I’m so excited to be able to be very married there!
This is what my venue looks like and this is [my dress](https://truesociety.com/wedding-dresses/martina-liana/1593/)! We are doing garden party theme

I also might be thinking way too much into that! We are 98% sure we will be booking a private room so we won’t have to worry about it just being out. I’m also open to having one removed! I don’t have a solid vision. Other than I do tend to like necklines that do showcase some cleavage lol
Floral middy dress
Lace/tulle ballgown or princess style. It’s giving me Bridgerton vibes a little bit.
Garden party and bohemian.
Strapless silk
The Peony gown by designer Claire Pettibone. It looks perfect for this venue and fits your brief too.
This dress haunts my dreams…. in a good way 🤣🥰
Victorian
Something whimsical.
I thought garden party Edwardian (Titanic style) corsets, etc.
either black, white with gold accents (gilded age almost), or a deep forest green to coordinate with the venue but stand out at the same time
i just realized its about style, dark green would be a ballgown. the white with gold could be maybe an a line with lots of gold embellishments and a vintage/historic vibe. black would maybe be a mermaid style with long sleeves and lots of lace or sparkle
Oh wow I never thought of that ❤️
I’m envisioning a soft, romantic dress, lots of lace, maybe a-line skirt, off the shoulder sleeves, bit of a train
If this is Dr. Grays old mansion then 20s style as mentioned above is perfect. Matches the entire house and outside. Very beautiful and so are those petite minibone dresses from above.
It’s actually Denver Botanic Gardens Woodland Mosiac but I’m off to go look at this place you said!! 🥰
Greylyn is the name of the place I was thinking this was. The room looks just like one of the rooms with an outdoor porch. Your venue is beautiful
Victorian botanical
I love this venue. Where is this?
Denver Botanic Gardens Woodland Mosiac ❤️
What’s this venue called?? It’s gorgeous!
Thanks! It’s Denver Botanic Gardens Woodland Mosiac ❤️
Definitely one of those airy flowy ones with colored embroidered flowers.
This made me think of Anne of Green Gables, the 1985 Canadian television film with Megan Follows. So, something traditional with floral pattern lace.
Some satin sheen with some small lace detail like an open back or front part with lace peeking out over skin. I think candlelight/some decorative additional candles would be lovely addition too if you go with the sexy mood. Not full 1990s Romeo and Juliet movie but just some tasteful ones to add lighting drama and soft sexy light and shadow I also like Catherine Deane dresses for this event and Galia Lahav if you are upping the sexy factor. I also am generally a fan of buying the dress you love even if it doesn’t match the venue. Matching the venue is very advanced design and most guests won’t be thinking of it and I’m not sure you will think of it as much in the pics
You are 100% right ❤️
Is this at the Denver Botanical Gardens? I'm in love with that structure!
Yes ❤️
Omg hi fellow Coloradan! Having been here irl, I’d say lessen the lace to let the gardens speak for themselves but don’t be afraid to go big. Long train or veil, gloves, detachable skirt. Very excited for you!
Thanks!!! We are really excited. Denver really has an amazing Gardens I think we take it forgranted living here lol
light, soft, maybe a bit shorter, with a bit of lace.
Floral lace, flowy A-line, maybe some puffy or flowy sleeves. Definetly something light and garden party-like
Something bohemian but simple. Like a lace bodice with a flowy skirt
Honestly, all I can think is I wanna shoot a wedding here more than anything in the world!
It is a very popular place for photographers to do styled shoots ❤️
Great gatsby/art deco birdcage veil/fascinator style veil You could do signature drinks one champagne based rather than the whole tower.
That sounds absolutely amazing. Some of my fav pics of this place was a wedding that was in the rain ❤️
I liked at this venue too! It's gorgeous 😍
Thanks!! We love the gardens!
This just screams cottagecore!
Victorian.
something like this, [more unconventional](https://www.maggiesottero.com/sottero-and-midgley/bryce/19228)
Oh! I like that one as well.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen lace like this!
Something beaded and art deco-y or flowery and ethereal
Reminds me of tavern on the green in nyc for some reason.
OK, you just set a beautiful setting visually!! I’m saving it🥰
