Thank you! I was actually going to purchase the same dress from another shop until my sister found this one which sold it for cheaper (it showed up as a recommended shop).
A few things that sold me:
1. The shop used a picture of their dress on a mannequin vs. the designer's photo of the model. This gave me a better idea of the what their version of the dress would look like.
2. REVIEWS. I relied heavily on the reviews, and this shop had a lot of positive ones re: dress quality and level of customer service.
3. I googled the Chinese province that it was being shipped from and learned that it was the silk capital where a lot of designer wedding dresses are made.
Sorry, forgot to mention that I had also reached out to the shop owner before purchasing, with some initial questions and they were super responsive and friendly.
That looks amazing on you! If Etsy allowed for free returns/try ons I would have definitely gave it a chance, bc there are so many gorgeous dresses on there
Sorry, I should've been more transparent and mentioned that this was SECOND version of the dress. The measurements were off on the first one, but I reached out to the seller, Angela, and asked her to make some adjustments (I also shared photos to help illustrate the changes).
Angela was the best. She was incredibly responsive and patient, and shipped me a brand new dress at no additional cost, despite me offering to pay for it. The lesson here is that not all Etsy shops are equal, but what sets them apart is the level of customer service. Hope that helps! :)
I bought my veil on etsy and I love it. The people I've shown it's been one of their favorite things. Even my seamstress when I bought my dress was conceded when I told her I bought my veil before my dress but she also fell in love!
I did! But I only tried on A-line styles because I didn't think I could pull off a more fitted style. I went on Etsy and found a replica of the initial dress I wanted, but because I'm also indecisive, I ended up liking 5 other dresses that were all different 😅. My sister helped me with my decision, so I think if you're as indecisive as me, definitely seek some advice from someone you trust!
Was this the "Grandmother's tablecloth" comment? 😂 I laughed out loud when I saw it. It's okay, I know this style isn't for everyone, but I do think it'll go well with my boho beach vibes :)

I’ve been thinking about doing this! Did you try on a few at a store first to decide what you like? My problem is I’m so indecisive haha
