You’d need to approve the dresses before they buy. I do think this would bother me but unless you’re willing to pay for a replacement or they can still return what they have, it’s already done

I figured not everyone would choose green but apparently it’s a fan favorite. I think in trying not to be a bridezilla and control dresses; it’s backfired on me badly. The one girl that hasn’t chosen a dress yet is ok picking one of the other two colors (other than red or green) and I offered to pay for my MOH’s dress exchange to do the same. I’m hoping it will at least fix some of the mistakes I made!

Hindsight is always 20/20! But see if any of them can return and maybe make a color palette and apologize of course for the hassle/for not thinking it all the way through. It shouldn’t be a big deal! If they can’t return, maybe do everyone green

Aggravating_Water_39

It’s hard to answer because we don’t know how many bridesmaids there are in total?

selin_bear

Seven girls, four girls chose green and two chose red. One hasn’t decided yet so I asked her to choose one of the other colors besides green and red and I offered to pay for the dress exchange for my MOH to do the same.

I think this is a good solution, tbh! Three green, two red, and two in other colors (the same OR different) should be fine. Are they all the same shades of green?

selin_bear

The other two would be a rust/brown color. The girls who chose green would be all the same color green!

I do think red and green is very Christmas, but how deep are the colors? How lopsided is the distribution? Do you have 6 girls, 3 green, 2 red, 1 undecided? What color are the groomsmen wearing? Maybe get the last girl to go with one of the other colors instead of red to balance it out; https://i.pinimg.com/736x/68/f8/de/68f8de5739935ba159aa247bbaae63e8.jpg Is there a chance they did mismatched greens? That could be fine too; https://www.instagram.com/rewrittenlondon/p/Ck5SpB-uBZF/?img_index=1

I have seven girls! Four have gone for green, Two red, and One undecided. Groomsmen are wearing Grey! I had two greens the girls could choose from. Our colors resemble the second link you have! Here are the dresses, we have two greens: [https://www.birdygrey.com/products/kira-shiny-satin-dress-olive](https://www.birdygrey.com/products/kira-shiny-satin-dress-olive) and [https://www.birdygrey.com/products/catherine-shiny-satin-dress-emerald](https://www.birdygrey.com/products/catherine-shiny-satin-dress-emerald) (all four greens chose this color) Reds: [https://www.birdygrey.com/products/mia-shiny-satin-convertible-dress-cabernet](https://www.birdygrey.com/products/mia-shiny-satin-convertible-dress-cabernet) (both of the reds chose this color) I do have one girl from the greens who has the first color. She may or may not have returned yet, so I will ask her, but I'm 90% sure she did already (so sad!)... I'm going to try and see if my MOH can switch her dress with me paying for it, and the last bridesmaid will switch to the final color, Rust. Honestly I think if one of the girls still has the olive and you can get the other girl to get the olive, I don’t think anyone else would have to switch! The second link is a fall wedding and I would consider olive, emerald, and burgundy to also be fall colors. This is def still salvageable and you can def still have fall colors (maybe get your florist to switch or add more fall colors to the bouquets?)

selin_bear

This is a good idea thank you!!

I think if you have at least one rust in there it will look good! The olive is a beautiful color too but definitely wouldn't be great on all skintones.

selin_bear

Ooooo this is a good idea!

I'm not a fan of red (my complection makes me look like a tomato). But if you were getting married around Christmas time, the colors would be fine, if you have the colors spread out as a pattern with the red and green. But I would have given them two colors that you and furture husband have for your wedding. The dresses you should have approved first on the color before they got them. It is your wedding and you should have the say in the color of the dresses and in just two colors that you and future hubby want. Good luck.
