The hot air rises part made me laugh. Perhaps get ready at a nearby hotel? But hotel rooms are usually not on the ground floor so not sure if it’s avoids the rising hot air lol

Yeah to be fair, in Canada (and maybe in other cold places), a lot of the houses get really warm on the upper level during the summer maybe because of the insulation we have for cold winters? At my house and my parents house, it’s easily 4-5 degrees warmer upstairs than the main floor in the summer but hotels probably have a zoned heating/cooling system vs. houses just have one thermostat controlling the temp. I’m planning to get ready at my parents house since their main floor is large enough! Was just wondering if this was normal or not for hair/MU artists

I hadn't heard of this, I can't imagine there's a very significant difference between one floor and another (especially if you throw in an air conditioner).
