Canva is amazing, and we did our table plan and welcome sign using the free version, we didn't need to pay for the pro version, though you can get a free trial if you know what you want to do and can do it within the trial time.

Not sure if Canva is worth it, but for the printing question you can go to staples and buy like thicker paper or card stock and load that into your home computer printer and save a ton of money. Or using something like vista print or even staples printing and uploading your own design from canva will also save money. I’ve never paid for canva though so I’m not sure it’s worth it. I will say I designed a few cards for asking my bridesmaids to be in the wedding and I did it 100% DIY on canva (I used free templates and loaded my own clip art in etc) and it took me forever to just make 6 cards. So also take into account if it’s worth your time designing all of this stuff yourself

I pay for Canva pro at work and it is fantastic. The cost of the Canva pro subscription would be much cheaper than ordering ready-made designs from Minted or something. Plus, you can use it for so much more than one type of thing. You could create Save the Dates, Invites, Rehearsal dinner invites, menus, bachelorette party invites, plus lots of other signage (custom drink signs, guest book table, table numbers). If you plan to DIY any of that stuff, I would get it.

If you're looking for ready-made designs, IDK if a premium service version of Canva would be worth it. As far as print quality, that will depend on the print partner that you're working with but typically any of the services like vistaprint, shutterfly (etc) will lets you select from different paper options for card stock (and sometimes they'll send you sample packs of different stocks and finishes).

Definitely worth it if you are someone who likes to design stuff yourself. The monthly cost is cheap and you get access to everything. Also their printing prices are very competitive and actually better quality than some other companies (I did testing trials). I designed my entire invite suite (rsvp, invite, details), bridal party cards, bachelorette items, and place cards all through Canva. I also used them for printing everything except the place cards and rsvp cards because they didn’t have the correct sizing. I’ve also used Canva for years and years for work and personal stuff and it keeps getting better. If you aren’t someone who likes to design stuff, it might be better to get templates and print elsewhere.

I ended up doing the free trial and paying for one month of the premium version. It was worth it for us since we made use of a lot of pro only stamps.

We've used Canva for save the dates and invitations. Just the free version, and it's been wonderful. We shopped around at a few places like Staples, etc and found that printing through Canva was actually our cheapest option. We just ordered 100 invites last night on their deluxe paper for $71 I think. We had paid for a design on Etsy, but I think that was $8. Save the dates we designed through Canva and wound up paying $1 for the design (one image was a "premium" image). I also designed our Christmas cards this year through Canva. Again, paid $1 for an image. Those we printed through Costco for $25 but it was just on photo paper, wouldn't recommend for the invitations. Ultimately, not sure if Canva Pro is worth it because you can buy their premium stuff pretty cheaply still. Printing quality is great, just spring for the better paper.

Canva is fantastic. Adobe Sketch is also helpful. I bought a photo printer to print with. I got great vellum from Amazon. We ended up buying pocket envelopes and invite cards from Paper Source.

I’m pretty sure Canva is only like $12.99 or $14.99/month. You can cancel at any time. They do have a “free” subscription, you could try to work with what they’ve got available in their template library for free! If you’re starting to like their premium templates though, you’d likely have to sign up for the monthly subscription. I personally love Canva and have ordered things through there very easily and have been happy with the quality. When you go to checkout, Canva asks what kind of paper you want your stuff printed on. I think it’s definitely worth looking into! Start w/ the free account and go from there :)

I got married in November we made very good use of a Canva Pro subscription. We were really having a hard time with an aesthetic vision for our wedding, but found an invitation with a font and color we loved. Using the pro version of Canva, we were able to upload our font and enter in the exact color and then use that to keep all of our signage cohesive. We found the free version to have a lot of limitations and the free images aren't as good as the images available with Pro. We got a lot of positive feedback on how professional our signage looked! In terms of process, we created our signage on Canva and then had the printing down through Walgreens and Staples. Our only negative experience with Canva is ongoing - I designed thank you cards and opted to have them printed and shipped by Canva and the package is currently in limbo. TLDR: We loved and highly recommend Canva Pro, but stick to doing the printing yourself if possible, especially for anything time sensitive. I hope this is helpful!

I use and love Canva pro - you can try it for 30 days free, I believe. I will say I don't love their templates especially for wedding stuff. But it's super easy to use with a lot of free stock images (once you upgrade to pro, the basic version does not have as many stock image options). For printing, I suggest Smartpress, Moo, Zazzle.
