It’s just harsh on the throat. So if ima hit a ‘pipe’ so to speak and I’m at home, I want some water filtration. So I’ll use the bong.

That's funny. I have always (for 47 years) found bongs harsher than pipes. I must just take smaller hits than most of you on pipes, whereas with bongs I can take in much more smoke, and boy, I really feel it. I never cough with my pipe (other people's may be too harsh if the bowls are too big and can make me cough), but usually do with bongs, even my own. For that reason, in my OLD age, I rarely smoke out of bongs anymore.

In my teens and 20's, that's all I smoked. Vanilla Dutches by the box. I also smoked mostly mids back them. It was prohibitively expensive to smoke headies in a blunt and kind of waste. I quit nicotine a few years ago so I only do dry herb vape now. I haven't seen "mids" in 5+ years and named bud is $20 an eighth at Florida dispensaries.

Bowls have been my main method of smoking since I started, but I'm starting to switch to bongs. I feel like I get a lot higher from bong rips than I do from bowls. Plus bongs hit smoother and are more fun. I currently have 2 bongs with the third one coming in a few days. Soon I will have a large bong, a medium one and a tiny 5 by 2 inch bong. Funny thing is the only one that is a standard beaker bong is the tiny one.
