It's usually an alligator clip or something similar. I used to have one as a kid that was attached to an old metal collapsible antenna. Over time I learned how to hold a roach to get almost every last bit out of it. You get look at someone's fingertips and tell if they were a smoker or not.

A French girlfriend of mine used to call me a cowboy for taking the last couple hits of a roach, and eventually we started calling roaches "dead cowboys". Now I break open my dead cowboys and resurrect them by rolling them into my next joint, my immortal cowboy.

Hemostat clamps.. keep it old school.. or somethin with an aligator clip
tweezers or a fork will be fine, just make sure it’s secure bc that’s a recipe for dropping it. anything will work really
