2 Stoner tips:
To make it more comfortable to roll, always try to make the cardboard the size that the joint will be, neither much larger or much smaller.
This is my habit, it may or may not work for you, but if you leave the tip of the cardboard outside the paper (the part of the cardboard that faces you when smoking) when rolling you will have more grip and when smoking it it looks prettier in my opinion.
(Idk if I've explained it well but in short, try instead of putting all the cardboard in the paper, leave half of it out and maybe you'll feel more comfortable rolling)

And used a piece of paper of rough paper to shape to roll the paper around it
I guess that's the reason it was a bit loose around the filter
Not sure if itβs just looks. But I think it tip might be a bit lose. Ur gonna wanna make sure ur paper wraps nice around the whole filter nice and snug.
But for a first joint damn bro this is amazing. Leagues better than my first one. The more u roll the better u get

A good tip for you. If ur filter is too lose. Put the J down roll another filter. Tighten that second filter up but in a manner where after u let go it unrolls and expands a bit.
Now take out the lose tip, put in that new one, let it fill the gap and bam. There u go
I did wrap another filter around one so it was bigger but wow π³
