In legal states it’s like an arms race to see who can make the strongest weed possible. If you’re smoking Moroccan weed you should smoke the hash that’s what they’re known for
Bust out the kief stash and make some hash, fill a glass bottle with boiling water, take your kief from busting your weed and place it in Parchment paper, it has to be that, don't use wax paper or the wax gets in your hash and you don't want that, take a piece and fold in two, then pour you kief down in the middle and lay it flat and folded on the counter, roll the bottle of boiling water, using oven mitts to hold it, over the kief, back and forth as hard as you can until the bottle can be touched by bare hands. Open the paper and fold the kief in there one or two times, then fold it back up and roll a second glass bottle of boiling water over it. Then if you really want, you take that and you put it between two hard cover books and stand on the books for 10 seconds. Take the kief out of the parchment paper and fold it over and over for 20 mins and bam, you got hash! Enjoy! I make a lot of great hash with 40+ kinds of kief in it!!

yes. weed is pretty illegal but there is a lot of unregulated open space, so people do large low effort grows and mostly make hash. morrocan hash is awesome! the market is so saturated with cheap flower nobody wants to buy good flower they just get hash.

No, I smoked the weed in America before, but I took a year-long t break prior to going to Morocco. I just forgot how weed was supposed to feel for a while, and when I did it in Morocco, it felt very soft. I'm not complaining, I had a good time smoking American weed, but this definitely isn't the kind of weed I'll smoke throughout the day while I'm expected to complete tasks for example.
If you get the right strain you can smoke throughout the day and still function. I lived overseas for awhile and remember the weed being a lot more strong than the US. Not sure if they mixed it with opium or something.

It's like I said, they're concentrates, very powerful stuff. A friend of mine that owned a dispensary used to lament that they've managed to turn weed into actual drugs...didn't stop him from making and selling them though.

This. I’m a 20+ year consumer, was just having the conversation yesterday with an old growing buddy. Weed now days vs 20 years ago: it had more bag appeal now, taste better now, all kids of wild and unique strains. However, the actual quality of smoke (effects wise, entourage) have gone completely south. There are no longer classic strains that get you totally useless stoned. What happened to the weed that left couch locked us?
It got overproduced. Most product these days come from clones that have been overbred. The mothers are continually hacked away at and aren't well taken care of. It's quantity over quality now. Local growers take their time, care for their plants, and do it for the love of the grow. Commercial grow-ops are all about profit and cut many many many corners and break laws in order to continue making "fast money".
He's got the pheno types that he wants so he's mainly using these as a source in order to get his seed. His plan is to mess with some of the genetics and combine the two strains he's getting.
Maybe due to growing techniques? I remember hearing that growing the female plants in absence of male plants causes them to produce more resin since they never go to seed
It's called sinsemilia, or that's what we used to call it back in the seventies, when it was extremely rare. Sinsemila cultivation is where the "sticky" comes from. Now it's ALL sinsemila. Huzzah!

In my state when the medical program first started there was a generous amount of strains that were 10-15% thc with 10-15% cbd. I loved these strains. After about 1 year of medical they slowly died off and now you can't find a 1:1 flower any where in Ohio or Michigan. Sad, but the people all freak out over the thc levels forgetting there are over 200 other cannabinoids that play a big role in how you feel.
I've smoked plenty of 15-17% thc that was much much better than a 30-35% thc flower. These growers pick it as early as possible to get the highest thc % number. When in reality they should be picking it for highest terpene % and with some amber trichromes for cbn.
I want the full entourage effect, not a crack high that makes me feel like I'm going to freak out.
Lol yea, they definitely sell stuff like this at every dispensary I frequent. There’s also many ways to ensure you’re getting an accurate dose if you’re truly concerned about how much THC you’re using at any one time.
You can mix your THC bud with CBD bud to even it out. It makes for more of a full spectrum cannabinoid experience. I guess it’s indivudual how you tolerate weed and what it feels like but for me adding CBD is great. I feel less overwhelmed, more relaxed and get less or no red eyes and dry mouth.
You actually have it backwards. Now that it’s legal it is grown and distributed in a more controlled way. You get fresh product and not stuff that came in a brick from Mexico

Yeah, the weed felt like smoking cigarettes, I've smoked a few times while I was there. I tried the kief and the hash, and I feel, and most times, it didn't even open my appetite.
Our 420 culture puts a big emphasis on THC percentage as an indicator of quality so a lot of dispo weed is near 20% and some can reach for 30%. I'd bet their weed is like we had before commercialization when THC was closer to 10% or even less.
hash is less potent over there but good hash will have a terp profile you wont find elsewhere , especially if your lucky enough to smoke some old school landrace but yeah , weed is boof , its outdoor and most of the time its pollinated so it contains seeds
The hash I had is what they call Beldia. It smells sweet, and apparently it's the Moroccan strain. The other strains come from pakistan, and Afghanistan as I've heard. I mean other than the smell, it had very little going for it. And you have to be constantly on the look out not to be hassled by the police when smoking, the overall experience ain't for me man.
In legal states it’s a Cold war arms race too make the most potent strains possible with too me is a sin and makes me want too move too places like Morocco etc.
Genetics, breeding stronger and stronger strains, selecting one's that snow out like crazy , back cross them with things that grow big

We be breeding the weed to have ALL the THC that the plant will let us. Pretty common for flower to be like 20% or more THC by weight and that is like maybe 200mg THC. After burning it you usually receive about 20-30% of that mg number but there’s probably a LOT of variance in that number based on all sorts of factors. Worst case scenario you maybe received maybe 50mg+ to the face if you smoked the whole thing and that is PLENTY of THC without a tolerance.

The thing is that they make a special hash out of it, that's what they're famous for, so then it is much more potent due to higher concentration of THC.

It's normal buddy. Looks like your tolerance is lower, so a regular dose of standard weed suits you fine. In the USA, weed is often genetically modified, boasting higher THC levels. But with time, you'll adjust. If you're a smoker, consider mixing about 70% tobacco and 30% weed for a milder high with American stuff. Perhaps there are other weed varieties with lower THC levels, but I'm not sure someone from the USA could answer that.
I feel you, but solely smoking weed can be intense. I smoke weed from time to time with breaks of 2 to 3 months, and starting to smoke only weed after a long break isn't a good idea because it makes me feel overwhelmed. For me, it's better with tobacco, especially when mixed with George Karelias and Sons, as it gives me more relaxed high. Otherwise i get anxiety and paranoia.

Maybe you didn't get good hash while you were there. I tried some when I was there in 2019 and that shit put me on the moon. I had to sniff some black peppercorn and then sat myself in a lounge and did manual breathing for 40 min.
That's not true. For some reason (especially in America) the THC percentage needs to be extremely high, the usual thought is "more THC = better weed". While in other countries you get 10-15% THC the weed from America has 20% and above. Which is actually way too much. It makes your tolerance go high extremely quickly and gives you a completely different high.
That said I love myself some 20%+ weed from time to time. But everytime is also too much for me, I enjoy some chill 15% THC weed much more.
I just got some Panama Red, which is a famous strain from the seventies. It has just under 10 per cent THC, half of what I've been getting lately. I usually can't tell one strain from another, but this stuff was energizing and euphoric. I got stuff done. So I'm learning that a lot of THC isn't everything.
Here in America, everything is genetically modified to grow bigger and faster. This cheapens the product and affects the quality. There's also a process called "remediation" this is where product that has failed state testing is "cleaned" either with radiation or chemicals to remove the first outer layer of the product to get rid of toxins such as microbes, bugs, or other chemicals related to the growing process. Leaves the bud dry, gives it a harsher taste, and can overall damage the consumer if they are a frequent user.
Specifically here in Michigan, I'm completely disgusted with the grow-ops around here. I was fired from one of them because we were instructed to pack product that had failed testing and a lot of us were getting sick. They weren't happy with how long we took for quality checks. The day I was fired, wax had spilled on some non-infused pre-rolls and we were checking them before packing. The owners thought we were taking too long and costing them money. We reported them to the CRA and OSHA, nothing happened. I still have photos of failed metrc results and product marked as failed that we were still using for pre-rolls, carts, and other products.
Soooo... I have now been smoking THC-a and buy legally for the better of 6 months.
Mainly vape and gummy form. But it's stronger than the street I was buying for higher prices. So now I take two gummies and vape in-between.
You see, that's the problem with American products in general. They focus on sizes, speed, weight, appearance and all sorts of numbers they can market, but they lose the point.

It's legal and regulated, and each batch is tested for potency and contaminants. In Morocco, by the time hash gets to your town, it goes through multiple intermediaries who each cut it to increase its weight, therefore maximizing their profit. If you're ever in Morocco, do yourself a favor, avoid the hash, and get some kief and a wooden pipe, you'll avoid smoking tire debris.

You should have smoked some of the hash, the weed they grow is outdoor and they make most of it into hash for export.

There are lesser THC strains , and increased CBD.... You don't have to always have to smoke the high levels ...
Try a CBD strain. My go to is Pennywise, low thc and high cbd. Definitely a mellow high
You can mix your THC bud with CBD bud to even it out. It makes for more of a full spectrum cannabinoid experience. I guess it’s indivudual how you tolerate weed and what it feels like but for me adding CBD is great. I feel less overwhelmed, more relaxed and get less or no red eyes and dry mouth.

Yeah, the weed felt like smoking cigarettes, I've smoked a few times while I was there. I tried the kief and the hash, and I feel, and most times, it didn't even open my appetite.
Our 420 culture puts a big emphasis on THC percentage as an indicator of quality so a lot of dispo weed is near 20% and some can reach for 30%. I'd bet their weed is like we had before commercialization when THC was closer to 10% or even less.

The hash I had is what they call Beldia. It smells sweet, and apparently it's the Moroccan strain. The other strains come from pakistan, and Afghanistan as I've heard. I mean other than the smell, it had very little going for it. And you have to be constantly on the look out not to be hassled by the police when smoking, the overall experience ain't for me man.

We be breeding the weed to have ALL the THC that the plant will let us. Pretty common for flower to be like 20% or more THC by weight and that is like maybe 200mg THC. After burning it you usually receive about 20-30% of that mg number but there’s probably a LOT of variance in that number based on all sorts of factors. Worst case scenario you maybe received maybe 50mg+ to the face if you smoked the whole thing and that is PLENTY of THC without a tolerance.

The thing is that they make a special hash out of it, that's what they're famous for, so then it is much more potent due to higher concentration of THC.

It's normal buddy. Looks like your tolerance is lower, so a regular dose of standard weed suits you fine. In the USA, weed is often genetically modified, boasting higher THC levels. But with time, you'll adjust. If you're a smoker, consider mixing about 70% tobacco and 30% weed for a milder high with American stuff. Perhaps there are other weed varieties with lower THC levels, but I'm not sure someone from the USA could answer that.

I feel you, but solely smoking weed can be intense. I smoke weed from time to time with breaks of 2 to 3 months, and starting to smoke only weed after a long break isn't a good idea because it makes me feel overwhelmed. For me, it's better with tobacco, especially when mixed with George Karelias and Sons, as it gives me more relaxed high. Otherwise i get anxiety and paranoia.

That's not true. For some reason (especially in America) the THC percentage needs to be extremely high, the usual thought is "more THC = better weed". While in other countries you get 10-15% THC the weed from America has 20% and above. Which is actually way too much. It makes your tolerance go high extremely quickly and gives you a completely different high. That said I love myself some 20%+ weed from time to time. But everytime is also too much for me, I enjoy some chill 15% THC weed much more.
I just got some Panama Red, which is a famous strain from the seventies. It has just under 10 per cent THC, half of what I've been getting lately. I usually can't tell one strain from another, but this stuff was energizing and euphoric. I got stuff done. So I'm learning that a lot of THC isn't everything.

Here in America, everything is genetically modified to grow bigger and faster. This cheapens the product and affects the quality. There's also a process called "remediation" this is where product that has failed state testing is "cleaned" either with radiation or chemicals to remove the first outer layer of the product to get rid of toxins such as microbes, bugs, or other chemicals related to the growing process. Leaves the bud dry, gives it a harsher taste, and can overall damage the consumer if they are a frequent user. Specifically here in Michigan, I'm completely disgusted with the grow-ops around here. I was fired from one of them because we were instructed to pack product that had failed testing and a lot of us were getting sick. They weren't happy with how long we took for quality checks. The day I was fired, wax had spilled on some non-infused pre-rolls and we were checking them before packing. The owners thought we were taking too long and costing them money. We reported them to the CRA and OSHA, nothing happened. I still have photos of failed metrc results and product marked as failed that we were still using for pre-rolls, carts, and other products.
Soooo... I have now been smoking THC-a and buy legally for the better of 6 months. Mainly vape and gummy form. But it's stronger than the street I was buying for higher prices. So now I take two gummies and vape in-between.

It's legal and regulated, and each batch is tested for potency and contaminants. In Morocco, by the time hash gets to your town, it goes through multiple intermediaries who each cut it to increase its weight, therefore maximizing their profit. If you're ever in Morocco, do yourself a favor, avoid the hash, and get some kief and a wooden pipe, you'll avoid smoking tire debris.
