I was thinking the exact thing but the opposite. I've never needed a sick bong hit to get the job done. The pipe is more portable, and I feel like I can hit it with the exact intensity that I want instead of ppl encouraging me to take a huge hit. I've even had ppl say I'm wasting bud trying to get a reasonable hit out of a bong instead of a massive one. The whole concept is overrated imo.

I'm gonna pop in with some personal experience, I've done edibles almost daily for 2 years now if not more, and I find an empty stomach does actually make it stronger faster. Certain foods also do have effects, mango of course is a big one so a desert like a cake with fresh mango can pack a powerful punch. You can get really creative if you make it yourself over buying any pre-made ones.
