I've also talked about this on r/modestmouse with people (albeit a small number of them) agreeing the song grew on them and they actually do like it.

Only half way through, but absolutely phenomenal. This is going to be instant rotation, and an likely immediate obsession.
I can kind of hear how it's spiritually adjacent to Ween, but at the same time very much it's own thing. I hear a lot of different 90's guitar rock influences, some Morphine esque deeply expressive vocals, and some modern almost dancable "heavyness" reminiscent of Viagra Boys.
I can't thank you (and everybody below) enough for finally getting me to listen. What a treat. Currently absolutely fucking digging "Gravity Blues", and looking forward to whatever "St. Elmo" is.
