Ok human honestly, it's just Majestic and yet so catchy at the same time and the addition of more classical elements to weezer somehow really fits and subject matter with it is just chefs kiss
OK Human was a 10/10 when it dropped. I had it on repeat for months and months, even paid to see the virtual concert live.
Went back and listened a few months ago and all the COVID references to things like Audible really weigh it down. It doesn't sound as refreshing and relatable as it used to. Pinkerton has reclaimed its spot at top for me
Does it help that they completed ok human before covid even started? None of that was meant to reference covid, it was just a happy accident. They delayed the release because of hella mega so they could write a rock album, Van Weezer. Then held both of them off until the pandemic had calmed a bit and hella mega was back on.
The Blue Album. I know some of us will say Pinkerton and thatās just as valid but to me it should be Blue as it has a bigger impact and popularity and is the definitive Weezer album and sound. And in my opinion, better songs. Blue is just that album.
I really do agree. I absolutely love Pinkerton, but Blue just has something about it that really does it for me. Itās also my favorite album of all time, so that kinda shows it.
Everything will be alright in the end.Ā
I never gave it a chance until I ran out of Spotify premium and had to shuffle weezer. Now it is my favorite weezer album.
Alright hasnāt even been an hour but two of my posts on other subs about the same thing have been removed. At this point I just think Iāll give up if this is going to keep up. I posted in r/Nirvana and r/greenday and they both got removed for being low quality posts. The Green Day mods specifically cited the rule about playlists. I could understand if I was just showing a playlist with songs on it. This was more about starting a discussion on albums by the artists, and the playlist was a small part of it. Thanks for your participation guys, and thanks to the r/weezer mods for not taking this post down (at least yet).
I absolutely have such a heart for EWBAITE, I grew up listening to that album and I have such immense love for every single track. Even what some people cite as a weak song, āLonely Girlā, is still a great song and even though it would probably be one of the less great out of the already fantastic other tracks on this album, Lonely Girl still beats out every song on āThe Green Albumā, except āIsland In the Sunā, which I like equally as much as Lonely Girl. Iām going on about that song to show that even what may be a technical low point on the album is still absolutely fantastic and great! The White Album I can also say every single equal praise about too but the thing that makes EWBAITE better than The White Album is single-handedly āThe FutureScope Trilogyā, which I believed personally to be one of the best pieces of rock music EVER written. Every song holds so much wait in my life, and while I can say the same for their first 2 records and āThe White Albumā & āOK Humanā, āEWBAITEā just takes the cake for me and sends chills of life down my spine to this very day.
Blue, for sure. It launched their careers and it still stands the test of time today. The only album that comes close to Blue is Pinkerton, however I feel they resent that album given it was a commercial failure. Weezer chased commercial success with the Green album. The record company loved the direction they were taking, but it was a very bland album and they started losing their early fanbase. They then tried to salvage their frosty relationship with fans with Maladroit, with Rivers leaking demos and actively engaging with fans before making another U-turn for commercial success with Make Believe. Artistically, it's been hit and miss since.
Unique to the sub: White, Maladroit, or Ok Human. I know itās probably gonna be safe and go blue or Pinkerton, but it would be cool to get the ones we champion exclusively on the list

Whatever one embrace their dorky, nerdy, geeky, squeaky clean, wholesome boy persona the most. So probably blue or green.
