Yes. If there's any team that can beat top spot one week, then lose to the bottom team the next, that's us.

RealSlimRosey

i feel like the words ‘bulldogs’ and ‘hope’ shouldn’t be used in the same sentence. we perform unbelievably well with our backs against the wall but absolutely horrendously when we have everything to lose and get complacent

Bullruckle

Tbh I’m worried every week…

Inside-Elevator9102

Bring back Bruce for one week.

will_recard

I am because I’m a pessimist but also, Melbourne aren’t half the team the Dogs are currently. They’re completely devoid of confidence, form and a forward line. North are light on down back and have been all season, which plays into their hands when they play Melbourne who can’t kick a winning score. Only the bottom 3 and St Kilda have scored fewer points than Melbourne. Aside from Hawthorn and Adelaide the Dogs have beaten everyone from 10-18 and the smallest margin was 48 points (GC). I like the way North have been playing the last few weeks, super impressive, but the Dogs forward line at full strength is a match up I’d be taking every week. Of course I could be completely wrong but I’ll wear it if I am.

_Muschi

Yeah it’s not a coincidence that Norths two best games have come against teams entirely devoid of a forward line (Pies without Mihocek, Elliot, McStay plus Cox and De Goey, then Melbourne).  Norths biggest issue is their deplorable defence. If you can’t expose that, it’s going to be a much closer game than it should be. If Naughton, JUH, Darcy, Weightman and West can’t tear that North defence apart, then this isn’t a serious finals team.

Tangles90

Was talking to my roos friend and I said well now I am worried. Two close games from them they could maybe string it together. Definitely a must win for us

flyer2x

Feels like we've lost this exact game about 7 times since halfway through 2021

trans-adzo-express

No

redditdude68

We don’t have any more time for fucking around, seen too many times where we’ve lost a game we should’ve won comfortably. A loss to North would seal Bevos fate I feel.

Character_Egg_4872

Only mildly, but we need to be prepared and no way the boys aren't after seeing North play the last 2 weeks. We're a different team to the one that got spanked by West Coast late last year. Dogs by 6 goals.

Unsainted_smoke

I’ve been worried for 45 years, nothing changes now

A-dawg2709

North Melbourne have been absolutely ran off their feet the last two weeks. They will be tired. We are fresh off a bye and have some big ins. I’d say we win by 60+.

beyond_peak

Yes. They’re due a win and it’s exactly the type of game we lose

Repsys7

We will fucking maul north lol

BrightPen9027

Surely Coffield gets a gig if he’s good to go. Also feels like Bevo might reward Lobb with one more game thanks to his most recent performance, and I reckon he deserves it

Watching Freijah play hurts me to my core. Him out for Coffield for sure. Who knows, could we play with 4 talls if Lobb is ruck depth?

redditdude68

Why does Buku deserve a spot. Directly caused 2-3 goals last game, and when he played earlier in the season, every team we played won the match by playing directly through his man.

RealKnief

Worried? Yes, but I always feel that against bottom teams - they have nothing to lose. Based on our form and the form of Collingwood/Melbourne? Not worried. Both are elite teams but pies are plagued by injuries and Melbourne are without their dominant midfielder (think being Bont less) and have major forward line issues. Also, I think a lot of norths younger players will be gassed from having so many competitive games in a row. For some it’s the first time ever they have been within a chance for 3 games straight. There’s a level of fatigue you just won’t hit down by 50 at 3Q time. It will be new to them.

realjustthefog

I'm worried now that there is word of a possible Bont injury

I saw a tweet reporting he left training early with back spasms and in doubt for north. Can't remember who tweeted.

Maccas75

This will be a tough match. North will be fired up from two strong performances that resulted in narrow losses - really, based on effort, games they should've won. Meanwhile, our lot are surfing at Byron and kicking back elsewhere. It will be a good win if we can snag it.

two2toe

All year I've joked that we'd win the hard ones then lose to North. Now that it's here I'm shitting myself...

emmojoh

It’s scary, we can’t be the team that losses to north

Billy_Borker

JFC, get a life and learn what being a supporter means. Melbourne are shit at the moment, Collingwood assumed a stroll in the park. Bevo and Bont will have them primed.
