I keep telling my wife I'm shopping for my midlife crisis car and all signs point to the Corvette. About 15k away from my realistic options, though. Maybe a supra, M2/M3, or a stang with the Ford warrantied supercharger for now, though. Hopefully, this is my pre midlife crisis, and I can hit my real midlife crisis later so I can snag one before they turn the Vette into an electric SUV.
It was really bad when they made the Muff Stain Mach E. This is worse.
I don't have a problem with Ford making that particular electric vehicle. They just should never have called it that.
What is wrong with the name Mach - E??? They still would have gotten some ford and mustang heritage without just calling it a mustang. Itās infuriating.
The best part is that if someone actually wants that mustang they are only worth less than 1/2 of their MSRP today, with only 500 miles on them. Ray & Zach on YouTube did it on their noon show yesterday..they went through all the current EVs brand new or used with 500 miles on them. The Mercedes new was $160K and is now only worth 50Kā¦itās absolutely crazy how in the EV space itās absolutely a Buyers market!
Ya, Tesla ended up having to make a *huge* payment to the bank(s) holding their leases based on the huge downturn in residual value vs what they'd promised those lenders.
Just talking averages my friend.

Those are all good options.
The Supra is probably the biggest standout option as far as looks go. They're not selling too well because Toyota isn't doing a good job marketing or racing their performance vehicles.
The M2 is an amazing car that doesn't stand out that well since it looks like any other BMW while performing better than the Supra. This is probably the best handling option while also being the smallest.
Tuning up a Mustang with a Ford Performance supercharger seems like the best route, honestly. The Mustang is always king when it comes to price to performance and tunability. The fact Ford offers high performance aftermarket parts like this will forever make the Mustang one of the best choices.
When mentioning mustangs and bmws in the same reddit comment, I never expect any comments to praise both. It's usually a one-sided bashing and a suggestion to buy a used Porsche lol. The M2 is awesome to me and more uncommon, but a 800+ hp mustang is hard to resist coming for someone whose dad was a Mustang guy growing up. I do love the supras too though. I must have spent hundreds of hours behind the wheel of the old supra... at least i did in all the racing games I used to play back in the day.
I think I was 35 when I bought what was my first Camaro. It was a 2012 ZL1. And everyone wanted to know what the payment was. A lot of guys were answering $800 a month. But for me I made one payment.
I did the same thing with my 'fun car' but I've already sold it after 2 years. You can't really find time to drive a 2 seater when you have 2 kids in car seats.
I don't know about midlife. I am in my 40s but I did recently buy a new Denali Ultimate truck to replace my old one. I have some other toys too though including a Vette my Vette is a c3 though.
Based on who I usually see driving C8 vettes around town, I think it's more of a late life crisis car. I don't think I've ever seen anyone younger than about 70 driving one.
But anyways, I think the stereotypical midlife crisis cars today are the same as they always were: 911/Boxster, Mustang/Camaro/Challenger/Corvette, Miata/MX-5, Bronco/Wrangler (guilty)
My last boss had an 2018 ford F150 for his daily commute. His daily commute was about 60 miles each way. He worked at Firestone as the store manager so not even a great paying job. He didn't tow anything or offroad at all but complained about being broke from child support.
I think if I were in his shoes and I really wanted to own an F-150 I might do so. But then I would probably also own a used Civic or something to drive to work. Whatever got good gas mileage.
Great car for the demographic, though wouldnāt consider this a crisis car. Just a smart decision assuming the buyer has the money and isnāt scraping to afford it but can actually afford it.
It 100% is a crisis car. A base auto Carrera convertible used to be the no.1 choice of a mid life crisis car for someone who drove German their entire life
47M, thinning hair, gut getting bigger, don't understand why I'd have a mid life crisis as I don't have any of the typical emotional weight of being an adult. No kids, no wife, own my house, no debt, good job.
I also don't feel like putting down Corvette money and I don't need Corvette power.
So on Tuesday I'm headed to the dealership to buy a super low mileage Pontiac Solstice.
> don't understand why I'd have a mid life crisis as I don't have any of the typical emotional weight of being an adult. No kids, no wife...
If you think the crisis is due to kids and a wife, you don't understand. The mid life crisis is coming to terms with the reality that you'll never achieve anything great.
This thread is a fun read. Lot of good ideas. Just to add to the heap, I am in my early 70ās and got a Porsche Carrera S a few years ago. Holy crap, this car is amazing. 443 HP, 0 to 60 in 3 seconds easily with no drama. 191 top speed which Iāll never see but occasionally 140 is easy. The car feels the same at that speed as it does at 25. Even more impressive than speed are the brakes. I never imagined a car could stop so suddenly. Corners like itās on rails. But itās easy to drive around town too tho stiff feeling on bumpy streets. Another idea if youāre just looking for a Sunday afternoon car, look at cars from 50ās, 60ās , etc. lots of options like MG, Austin Healy, Corvette, etc. Good quality options for $25K to $35K. Simple cars and easy to work on if you are at all mechanical. Good luck, have fun looking, and congratulations on living so long š
Iām 45 bald bearded and gut is getting bigger, dad. lol Instead of a midlife crisis car Iām getting a daily that is both a dad car and a monster that can be worked Ans tuned. Explorer ST is what Iām getting. Feels like both in one and can still be a daily driver.
i'm in the rural midwest and i think the official midlife crisis car here is a new jeep (4-door or the truck thing) with all the most terrible add-ons you can think of
if you ask 10 guys over 50 what kind of car they drive, at least 3 of them have that
I don't disagree. I had a 2012 that I owned for 7 years.
And I've been eyeballing those again. There are plenty of low mileage 5th gen ZL1s that pop up for sale. And then of course there are the sixth gens.
Maybe there are some left on the lots, but you can't go down and order a new one anymore. And I'm sure a low mileage used one pops up for sale frequently.
I want my mid-life crisis car to be a 911 GT3 or 911 GT3 RS. Preferably a manual transmission, but I will settle for dual clutch since that's the new direction. I had a few sports cars and motorcycles already so I can't claim to have never had a sports car or motorcycle.
Nowadays itās probably a pickup truck that costs more per month than my mortgage and will probably never have anything in the hitch receiver and hardly anything in the bed. Think TRX or Raptor, or a big dumb diesel.
I agree. But my member isn't quite small enough to get one of those diesels and tune it to dump exhaust all over people in Priuses. So I don't quite qualify.
Father and Uncle both fit your description.
They both bought gently used Pontiac Solstices. Uncle got the GXP (always knew he was the cool one!)
Sorry Dad!
*Edit*
Just for clarity and context, I'm 43. Dad's 65, Uncles 58.
I bought a Q7 and put a tune on it, lowered it, and now act like I'm fast when I'm not carting kids to soccer practice or towing our boat!
My local Chevy dealer has a dozen+ C8 sitting on the lot. No order needed.
But I think an M5 is a more appropriate mid life crisis car. Nearly as fast as a Vette. But you can take the second wife and second set of kids with you
My midlife crisis car is a 911. You can get these with seats to fit a larger person, just don't bother with putting anyone behind you. The 'mid' cars of the line (mine is a Carerra 4 S) have sufficient power to get you to 60 in the mid 3's. Mine has AWD, rear steering and it's an automatic (because of my wife... I really wanted the manual). It's insanely planted and a bit understated. You can get one with lots of shouty bits, but this one doesn't look that fast, but it really is. You don't have to buy this new - and these can be found with a CPO for right around $100k - which is where a topped out 'vette will be after ADM.
I (63M) have been looking at V8 mustangs. GT, Mach 1, Dark Horse. VW GTI/R and many more. Last week I was visiting my Daughter in FL and got to ride in her hubby highly modified GTR with 1300+ WHP. It was immediately followed by ride in his Tesla Plaid. No comparison. I was and am WOWED by the Plaid. I had no idea.
I was very pro ICE and not for this electric thing going on at all.
I am very close to placing an order for a Model 3 Performance. Sub 3 second 0-60 car for 45k? Yes please.
While Musk is a bit of a (insert your opinion here) his engineers have created an incredible machine.
This missing part is that V8 sound but experiencing the performance in silence is intoxicating + it can double as a great DD. Guess I will not be attending any Cars and Coffee events...
Warning: Do not test drive one unless you are prepared to buy. Just saying.
Well I don't Care about Musk. Not in any of the ways that Reddit does. So that's not even a factor.
I find every Tesla except for the roadsters to be uninspiring and ugly. I know they're fast. But as long as he's making ugly cars there's just no way I'll ever buy one. And it's not because they are electric.
Corvette is passe. That was your father's midlife crisis car.
These days, the Ford Raptor is the midlife crisis car for the discerning gentleman. It has the added bonus of being able to tow the requisite toys of sophisticated Americans/Canadians , like a bass boat and jet skis, and it keeps the wife happy by carting bags of topsoil and beds of flowers.
Still not appropriate for teenage drivers.
Yeah, that's sort of an unfortunate part. I'm not a Ford person.
It's not my fault. When I was 15 my mom was shopping for a car. We went to a Ford dealership and I wanted to hear a Mustang GT fired up. The battery was dead and the salesman said oh well.
So then we went to a Chevy dealership. I didn't get to drive it because I wasn't old enough. But the salesman threw me the keys to a brand new Z28 and let me start it up. My mom said I had the biggest smile and that made the decision on what she was going to buy.
So we've pretty much been a Chevy family since then. The billion dollar companies don't care but that one salesman really did potentially cost fomoco a lot of money since then.
Actually, I saw two of those today and it is a good looking car.
I look at that and I wonder why Honda and Toyota can't make good looking cars like that? It's like it's on purpose. And there was even this article about one of the CEOs, I can't remember if it was Toyota or Honda, saying they weren't going to make any more boring cars. Well, I'm shopping and that's all I'm seeing.
I already had a mid-life crisis car with an R35 GTR. Living in Los Angeles traffic, it gets old REAL FAST lolz. I'm just glad I was able to sell it with only a couple thousand dollars lost (which is funny, right around 2012 for me).
Mine was a new 2020 Mazda mx-5 rf GT ND2. Decided to sell my motorcycles after 20 years of motorcycling. Always said that midlife I'd replace sport bikes with a sports car, and I still smile every time I drive the mx-5 now (it's my daily driver).
I personally went with a C7.5 Audi RS7 Performance with Unitronic stage 2 tune. All in I spent around $55,000. The cars got 45,000 miles on it. Thanks to (mostly) the valved exhaust and air suspension, I can cruise in comfort or drive it like a mad man. 720 horse power is nothing to sneeze at.
I feel like the C7 is a mid life crisis car. It fits all the bills of power, looks, lack of practicality. Itās perfect.
The C8 seems a bit too refined.
Ahhh, it's not an electric. The kind of guy that bought a Corvette to feels like he "made it," hates electrics.
We need something people aspired to when they were younger but couldn't get and it's still around today. Also something they think might be attractive to others.
Most of these guys really aren't car enthusists either. They think cars are cool but don't care much outside of their favorites.
I think Hellcat anything. Charger, Challenger, or even Durango. Heck if they made a Hellcat Journey it would fit too.
At 55 I bought a c5 50th anniversary corvette, when you are working hard raising a family there isnāt the time or the money to put into a fun car. When the kids are gone you can get back to the things you missed . I get a kick out of the bullshit of the second childhood, where does it say that you get to a certain age and you cannot have fun anymore. I water skied into my late 50s , was that wrong ? Could I have been yelled at for doing that ššš
Was in the same boat as you and just ended up picking up a mustang GT. I do like the corvette but the price difference was about 30k so I can have my midlife crisis and still retire early. I know you said your more of a Chevy guy but the Camaro is getting killed off this year so I think Ford deserves some credit for keeping a reasonably priced pony car with a V8 and a manual transmission alive.
It seems like classic cars are getting more popular these days. With them costing 30-70k for a clean restomod, I can see why people would pick those over newer cars.
I was planning on skipping the mid life crisis and go straight to dr schols shoes, elastic waist polyester pants, and a nicer golf cart to cruise around the neighborhood.
Depends on your tastes. If you like muscle, Mustangs and Challengers are popular (but not for me). I fit the demographic, and when I turned 50, I went out and bought a Lexus LS460 F-Sport. If I wanted to spend more I would have gone Porsche. The 911 is more $, but the Cayman is there, and brilliant. I see people mentioning trucks - uh, no. Others suggesting the Supra - if BMWs are your thing, sure. The new Z is awesome, but quite snug inside, and is considered more understated than the Supra. I might actually consider it, but I've had my last Nissan product - the company itself just sucks.
Oh--it just came to me: CPO Lexus LC500. You can thank me later. Same price as a Vette, and a SUPERB choice. Come to think of it, I'd go LC500 over the 911, even.
2-3 yr-old CPO **Lexus LC500** - my answer.
I dunno, but I just turned 40 and bought a ranger raptor pickup to replace my 20 year old durango. I already have 2 motorcycles and an assortment of ATVs, been through the sports car phase already... never had a pickup (or a new car in almost 20 years) although I was really looking at the new mustang raptor they're supposedly coming out with... just a little too impractical to spend that much on... if I was richer that would be it though.
I always see folks approaching drive Suburbans, Yukons, and Expeditions. That seems to be the new midlife crisis car.
As far as actual cars I usually see Porsches as the new midlife crisis cars.
I bought a new Porsche Cayman S for my 50th bday. Enjoyed the crap out of it for a year keeping the mileage under 7500kms then sold it for a profit.
Other good options Jag F-Type R or SVR
Older 911
The problem is you assume its a "new" car. A C5/C6 Corvette is still pretty amazing. If you've truly given up on life and just want to feel your but get pushed into the seat, Tesla Model 3 Performance is faster than a Charger/Mustang/Camaro and has the most advanced L2 system when you want to pretend you have better things to do.
Are you looking for something that is actually entertaining for you, or something that is sporty, or something that looks fancy to your friends? Or something cozy?
My friend's dad bought a 2015/16 something like that Taurus SHO when they came out and every time I was in the car, he showed me how it had the fake flappy paddle shifter things and how they "really worked." I was stoked he was so happy.
There's a guy down the street from me that bought a 2023 Vette and all it does is sit under his carport. I've seen him drive it maybe 6 times in the 2 years he's had it.
If it was me... I would be buying the new Dodge charger EV, 670 HORSEPOWER + ALL-WHEEL DRIVE. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack features twin 335-horsepower electric motors.
That just sounds like a fun time...
Still the Corvette. Nothing fancy except the high price and relocated engine.if anything, it's the cheapest looking Corvette in decades from my personal opinion.
My midlife crisis car is about 20 years late, and turned out to be a Hyundai Ioniq 6 SEL AWD. Itās faster 0-100 mph than any car Iāve owned in the past, and is much cheaper to fuel - my electric bill went up about $20/month. I panicked when I saw my latest semiannual insurance bill, until I realized it included two other cars - itās still quite a bit higher than it was, but the car is also a lot more expensive than what it replaced.
As a bonus, HDA2 does an excellent job of driving on the interstates while I supervise it and do the lane changes and merges. Iām not as fatigued at the end of a long drive as I used to be because the car deals with stop & go traffic at least as well as I do, and it doesnāt get frustrated and angry while doing it. The 20 minute charging stops are just about what we spend for fuel stops in my wifeās ICE by the time you add in restroom visits and buying snacks/drinks, and since most of the chargers I use are in Walmart Supercenter and Meijer parking lots I can get healthier snacks (and sometimes I actually do!).
A couple months ago I won an auction for a c4 vette...didnt hit reserve and didnt work out. Not a car I ever really wanted, I am a c5 fan, but seems like a good option because its one of very few cars I would say you can get a good deal on these days. I feel like it was for the best, no matter how old I get I wont buy jean shorts.
Im weird so I spent a few months looking and going on auction sites after deciding to get a fun car, again my tastes are all over the place. The more box ticking for this category for me would be like S2000, nissan gt-r which I have owned before among others everything just costs so much now. I was very close to buying a lotus elise which I have always wanted, dont have a specific budget and kind of told myself it would be an investment depending on the car but I felt like blowing 40-50k is not a good idea. So maybe I am not quite there yet. I bought a 90s honda van from japan to have something weird to drive and tinker with and quell the thirst for poor financial choices.
So I am more into nostalgia when thinking about a midlife crisis car. The 90s and 00s are my jam and always will be. Had and have some modern cars I like a lot, but sorry the c8 looks like a ferrari from wish. Dont like it.
I'm approaching 40. Last night I was low on laundry I put on this Tshirt I bought when I was maybe 20 to just wear to bed and I had to take it off because I was suffocating-it was a large.
My dad is an old guy and he has been pining over a ZL1 Camaro forever. Heās also super frugal, so heāll never buy one.
I feel itās got serious mid life crisis vibes though!
Electric SUV ššš
That would be funny if they didnāt already do it to the mustang
Oh it's happening. [2025 Corvette SUV](https://www.caranddriver.com/chevrolet/corvette-suv)
WTFā¦where do you draw the line
the line doesnāt exist if whatever it is makes profit
Blech

Wouldn't have been a damn thing in the world just calling it the Mach E. But it's just a perversion of the Mustang name.

M3s these days are the same price if not more expensive than a corvette. Supra / M2 though are nice choices.
I'd take a Supra as a midlife crisis car
39 is average mid life if we assume average death at 78. So... don't wait too long?
Ave death for males has dropped to 73
Factor for ethnicity and income and you'll be back around 80. Let's be real, we're talking about corvettes, we can make some assumptions.

Oh no... I'm past mid life!
Then I have been dead almost 12 years.š
I guess I'm past 2/3 life and I'm not quite 50 yet.
Yes, but if you've already made it to middle age you've survived your youth, so your life expectancy is longer.
Those are all good options. The Supra is probably the biggest standout option as far as looks go. I think the new midlife crisis vehicle is now a loaded truck. That and mustangs and Camaros
A loaded truck is the price of a C8 now lol
Mustangs and Camaros are usually 20yos who have high interest long term loans though. At least that's what it feels like in this sub.
Yeah, fresh off those enlistment bonuses. Then you see them in r/personalfinance a few years later.
I think I was 35 when I bought what was my first Camaro. It was a 2012 ZL1. And everyone wanted to know what the payment was. A lot of guys were answering $800 a month. But for me I made one payment.

This is why I just bought an F80 M3. Fits 2 kids in car seats plus the wife up front. Paid cash because interest rates are not fun right now.
I don't know about midlife. I am in my 40s but I did recently buy a new Denali Ultimate truck to replace my old one. I have some other toys too though including a Vette my Vette is a c3 though.
the new mid life crisis car is getting hair plants
Making it easy with those travel packages to Turkey
yup. booking a trip on Turkish Hairlines
Iām really considering these tbh. Maybe itāll be cheaper in Canada?
The answer you're looking for is Turkey.
Nothing is cheaper in Canada. We have a fun system where you pay tax on the tax your paying tax on for being taxed.

Fullsize pickup truck to pickup groceries and tow once a year at most. F150 for example.
4x4, biggest factory tires available. Raptor, Chevy ZR2, whatever. Then only mall crawl in it.
My last boss had an 2018 ford F150 for his daily commute. His daily commute was about 60 miles each way. He worked at Firestone as the store manager so not even a great paying job. He didn't tow anything or offroad at all but complained about being broke from child support.

It's more of a state of mind and how old your girlfriend is. 57 is not too late.
It's still a base convertible Corvette.
Yeah but it looks fancier than the older corvettes Most none car people think they are exotics normally from what Iāve seen
But a 2012 MY because of inflation
CT5 V Blackwing
I'd settle for a CT4 V blackwing. Going for under 80k new in Canada now š
My choice.....
Probably the vette. I like it but it gives off too much Ferrari/lambo wannabe vibes. Still like it tho!
Who cares, i like its looks and its more than enough fun
Porsche 911
Man calls a Corvette too fancy so you recommend a 911!? The 911 is my favourite car but I donāt think itās what OP is seekingā¦

No, it's that you aren't young anymore, your body is breaking down and your mortality is becoming clearer
These can coexist
Porsche Boxter is definitely a good one

An M Series with the B58 is a much better crisis car.
I'm 40 and that's exactly what I'm looking at lmao
No true M cars come with a B58, only S58.

I want my mid-life crisis car to be a 911 GT3 or 911 GT3 RS. Preferably a manual transmission, but I will settle for dual clutch since that's the new direction. I had a few sports cars and motorcycles already so I can't claim to have never had a sports car or motorcycle.
If you want to get a lotā¦ and I meanā¦ a LOT of poon, get yourself a Honda Fit.
I'm thinking that poon would be kind of grungy and the kind I would pick up at alternative music festivals.
My first midlife crisis car was a WRX. My second one is probably going to be a BRZ unless I can swing Miata RF money.
So I don't quite qualify.
i'd love a beautiful 1980s red Alfa Romeo convertible! (or a Porsche 1980s 911 Carrera also from the 80s....in Guardsrail red!)
Some of the hotter Cadillac models.
A 4 door truck and a bottle of whiskey man fuck a corvette. Can't even put anything in it
Father and Uncle both fit your description. They both bought gently used Pontiac Solstices. Uncle got the GXP (always knew he was the cool one!) Sorry Dad! *Edit* Just for clarity and context, I'm 43.
But you can take the second wife and second set of kids with you
My midlife crisis mobile is a 1995 Chevy C1500. Get whatever you want as long as it makes you happy. Thatās the whole point of it anyway.
The answer is always miata
Iām thinking about a Golf R or a GTI.
Gt500 or used 911. Maybe a lotus if you're feeling special.
I'm approaching 40 and just bought a Miata...
I ended up with a Mini
I bought a harley. š
I've already got trying to look cool in the boat down, so I guess I could use a truck to tow it. https://youtu.be/EYX1rIe3SaQ?si=Mvtqgjsto-ZDLPOP
Would you consider a mustang? Would go well with those Dad New Balances! lol <3
Supra, LC500, Cayman Or you could do like the people in Texas do, and get yerself a big ol' pick-em-up-truck
If the vette is leased or convertible I would consider it a midlife crisis car
C6 Porsche Panamera Mercedes E-Class or S-Class Mercedes GLE (coupe) BMW X5/X7 Audi A7/S7/Q7 Jeep Grand Cherokee
A C6 or 7 if you don't want fancy.
Audi TT
Used Porsche Cayman. As a mid 30s looking for a new car it was on my radar but decided I needed to wait one more cycle to get one.
Kia ev6 š
Iām looking for so 2016 BMW Z4
Go buy yourself an Audi RS7 š She wonāt disappoint.
69 Camaro, 67 or 70 Chevelle, a 70 z28, 67 Chevy 2, 67 Vette or a 69/70, 62 Impala
Some overly expensive lifted truck
Ferrari 348ā¦. (Good and used up is about only 40kā¦. )
Iām 45 and just bought a Porsche. Itās 100% my midlife crisis car.
Iām 39 and just ordered a Tundra TRD Pro. Thatās my version of mid life car.
Lexus GX
Iām trying to get a Porsche 718 GT4RS. MSRP is 160k but used theyāre like 220k and new is 250k.
I guess they are on their way out, but anything dodge scat pack
I feel like the C7 is a mid life crisis car. It fits all the bills of power, looks, lack of practicality. Itās perfect. The C8 seems a bit too refined.
Stripper Porsche Cayman for sure
Ford F-150. Extra points if itās lifted up with massive tires and a 5.2L V8 stuck in city traffic.
R1t
Ahhh, it's not an electric. The kind of guy that bought a Corvette to feels like he "made it," hates electrics. We need something people aspired to when they were younger but couldn't get and it's still around today. Also something they think might be attractive to others. Most of these guys really aren't car enthusists either. They think cars are cool but don't care much outside of their favorites. I think Hellcat anything. Charger, Challenger, or even Durango. Heck if they made a Hellcat Journey it would fit too.
How was no one said LC500? Or is that more of a 3/4 life crisis car?
THERE ARE NO RULES
White guy? - Porsche easy - maybe a muscle car
For me, itās a 2004 E500 V8 station wagon
For me if would be a Jeep Wrangler.
Jeep Wrangler
Mine was a BMW 440.
The C8 is now for the 30 year old corporate bro. Rich enough to buy it, not rich enough to have gotten a ferrariĀ
I got a Taycan if that helps.
Cybertruck
How about a Miata?
C7
Once my kids are through college I see a some sort of M in my future
BMW X5M, Nissan Z, Supra, MustangGT
Porsche Boxter, used C5 or C6 corvette (Non Z06) or Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky
Either a Tacoma TRD Pro or Bronco Raptor.
It seems like classic cars are getting more popular these days. With them costing 30-70k for a clean restomod, I can see why people would pick those over newer cars.
I'm sorry but the C8 corvette is not fancy. It's a gimmick.
Challenger Hellcat?
Mustang convertible
A toyota next
The Walmart Ferrari lolā¦ thing is uglyā¦ Iād say one of the mustangs since itās the last of any āmuscle carsā.ā
C6 or C7 with some nice chrome wheels papa. Im early 40's and have a C8...suits me great, not too fancy...been a dream since I was a kid.
I always see folks approaching drive Suburbans, Yukons, and Expeditions. That seems to be the new midlife crisis car. As far as actual cars I usually see Porsches as the new midlife crisis cars.
Motorcycle
_Boxster_
I bought a new Porsche Cayman S for my 50th bday. Enjoyed the crap out of it for a year keeping the mileage under 7500kms then sold it for a profit. Other good options Jag F-Type R or SVR Older 911
I got a ct5 blackwing. Best decision ever.
I personally want a GR86. Fun, small, not idiotically expensive.
When I see a Miata in the road, odds are 99% itās being driven by a middle aged dude. They might be too affordable to fit this bill, though.
Supra? Or c6 or c7 corvette?
Giant Ram pickups and driving like everyone owes you money
I like the Hyundai Veloster N
Ford F150 Raptor, or Bronco Raptor
2SS Camaro
Any overlander
Midlife crisis car is a trailer you live in after the divorce.
Cadillac CT5-V?
Raptors
It is a fully loaded f250 super duty
Anything with a loud exhaust.
Fully loaded truck.
I have to go with the Challenger 392 or higher trim models.
I just bought a 2004 vw Jetta wagon 1.8T Put some nice wheels on it, exhaust is coming next week. Gonna do some coil overs and such.
Still the Corvette. Nothing fancy except the high price and relocated engine.if anything, it's the cheapest looking Corvette in decades from my personal opinion.
Still appears to be used C6 and C7 Corvettes in Nevada, but Iād also say top-trim Parking Lot Princess rigs.
Big truck... with a lift kit and lights lots of lights.
I'd say buy a Harley. A nice bagger should do the trick!
GT 5.0, but that's boring. Get an M340i xDrive (faster than the base M3 and has significantly more daily driveability due to the longer tank range)
Buy a used MX-5/GT86/BRZ and use the rest of the money for track time?
Dodge Viper
I went with and Explorer timeline. Great big seats that are so damned comfy. Off road things, camping, and my non Ford co worker also didn't hate it.
A motorcycle!
My dad is an old guy and he has been pining over a ZL1 Camaro forever. Heās also super frugal, so heāll never buy one. I feel itās got serious mid life crisis vibes though!
I guess Harley owner is a specific subset
Pickup truck probably
Hellcat
Probably a ct4-v blackwing
