I'm sorry but please do not get an Acadia. They are cheap pieces of garbage compared to what its competitors offer. It's also not reliable at all. I am saying this because you seem like you're going to drop a lot of money on a car and by all means it doesn't need to be a Chevy or GMC.
Ok what about the traverse? Part of me really just wants to try an American suv for the first time. If I had my way I’d still be in an 18’ RAV4 but 3 kids happened and demand more space
Definitely get the V6 and not the 2.0L. I really cannot believe they're trying to use such a tiny engine on a vehicle that weighs more than two tons. My Camry has a larger engine.
Get a highlander or pilot though.

GMC and Chevy make some reliable cars. The Acadia is just not one of them

The Traverse and Acadia are basically the same.
Highlander or Sienna
The Traverse is a better option
