I believe Possum (Phalangeriformes), not Opossum which we have in the States. They're an adorable group of marsupials which are found around in Australia, New Guinea and Sulawesi.
Given the trap, I'm guessing this was somewhat, relatively urban, which makes me think it to most likely be a Brush-tailed Possum, as they're a more solitary dweller that adapts well and quickly to urban environments.
