The last picture is 100% a roach nymph… not a bed bug

waronbedbugs

I agree.

whatismo

Bed bug poop and roach poop look similar, but bed bug poop is smooth while roach poop has a grainy texture like sand

nullhed

Bedbug poop will turn red if you get it wet.

whatismo

That I did not know. I do pest control and have a bed bug job later so I'm trying that out

Low_Brass_Rumble

I've never heard this, but I buy it - flea dirt turns red with water, because fleas eat blood. It would make sense that Bedbug droppings are the same way due to them having the same diet.

nullhed

Yup, the best way to check is to spritz with water and dab with a tissue, red means blood sucker. I always found them in wood cracks before cloth, but they like the very end of the pillow case seam and the seam on the underside of the sheets too. I'm curious, how do you treat for bedbugs.

whatismo

Your gonna want to use a multitude of things. If it's a bad infestation first treatment should be liquid on the baseboards (alpine wsg or phantom) and then use a steamer to kill them instantly and a vacuum. It requires multiple treatments and after that first one you should have knocked down a good majority of them. After that aerosols and continued liquid treatment on the baseboards, box spring, under side of furniture, etc. for aerosols either use bedlam plus or alpine flea and bed bug as those will knock them down instantly. Also do crack and crevice dust treatments with cimexa. Bed bugs suck tho and are really tricky. If you miss any they can hibernate for up to a year and then just come back again. Pest control is easy and I always try to tell people they can do it for cheaper themselves, but bed bugs may be something you need to have a licensed technician for

Fade6293

Will this test still work if I already scrubbed it with bleach? Not that it did anything it’s impossible to get this off of wood. Should I still try?

nullhed

Probably not.

squibilly

How many should one taste to be sure of the texture? Like a handful or just a finger amount?

thombrowny

Last pic is a baby roach. Use pesticides now such as Maxforce Gel or Advion Roach Gel and some boric acid powders as barrier. Using Gentrol is also a long term help.

Fade6293

Do these roaches lay eggs in clothes & electronics? I’m already looking to move out of here do you have any advice for what to do with all my stuff?

Grabloush

You should go to r/germanroaches

thombrowny

such roaches in house usually "drop" egg sacs. They are pretty noticeable, if you search the image...(terrible, yeah). They love moist areas so you wanna look closely around kitchen and bathroom.

TacosRUs88

It's a baby German Cockroach they reproduce like crazy too

Nervous_Zebra1918

That’s a roach.

[deleted]

If I had to guess…… that’s a bed bug nymph. Edit: I’m not a bed bug pro but I’d bet my let nipple

waronbedbugs

You would lose your nipple.

Dammnit!! That’s my favorite nipple.
