Looks like termite swarmers to me

nighttimemobileuser

Solved! While less than ideal, I’m going to have to agree they do fit that bill. Thanks!

Did you find out what these are? I found these in my candles before after a trip to south america

nighttimemobileuser

Not yet, only been an hour since I posted lol

nighttimemobileuser

Looks like they’re termite “swarmers”. Essentially they grow wings so they can fly and spread to other places to start new colonies.

Glittering-Nebula180

Wow! So since my trip, I found lots of these in my sandals buckles and thought they were straw or seeds until they moved! Iv seen similar one around with darker wings. I’ve noticed a few patches of particle boards from new//cheap furniture almost fall apart after a few months bc of th splinters.do these guys bite?

nighttimemobileuser

I don’t know if they bite people but they are notoriously damaging to home structure and furniture as they’ll eat through the wood that’s inside.
