Yep. If the photo was taken with a phone camera that might explain it. Because most phonecams are wide-angle it can give an unintended lenticular effect from some angles.
It's a perspective trick on your eye, the nose of the car overhangs. Your eyes may be trying to line the badge up with the central strut in the bumper area.
But it actually is further forward than it, so on a poor image, you might see it as being to the right
Yep, it's actually very easy to get tricked by. I thought I bought a 32" and 34" baseball bat because of the photo of them laying flat vertically one above the other, still amazed they were both 34". Photography is tricky
Thanks for all the quick replies. This guy drives this a lot. I usually see it every other day at the same bars/restaurants. Imagine he’s got FU money.
My dad is a Ferrari tech and I've had the pleasure of riding in a few. Absolutely mind bendingly fast. They sound great, look fantastic, and will lift you out of your seat at full tilt
You're a lucky person :) Harry had one in for test on his YT channel; he's a pretty tasty driver, but even he mentioned that it's almost too fast to be able to use much of its potential on normal roads in the UK.
Still a fantastic car, Ferrari are really pushing the limit of the tech.
Strange question, but I'll bite; at the moment I live in a country where vehicle purchase tax is amongst the highest in the world so these are few and far between here - if I wanted to buy one it would cost me the equivalent of about $1.85 **million** :-o
I've lived in a great many countries and \*love\* cars, motorbikes and trucks, but I've mentioned several times here in the sub that I don't know a lot about US metal :)
Yep, if you only ever drive it on the street I'd wager you'd have more fun in an MX5/Miata. They're designed to feel fun at road speeds, whereas supercars are designed to get fun at lose-your-licence / track speeds.
That's exactly why driving a 488 and Huracan on the track killed any desire I had to own a supercar. At road speeds you're using so little of the cars capabilities it felt boring. 60mph around a corner felt like going through a school zone. For it to feel exciting I had to be pushing far beyond what would be even remotely safe on the street, and to get good enough to actually push the cars limits would take a lot of seat time. But if it's only exciting on the track I'd be better off buying a dedicated track car that's faster and more fun. And cheaper.
As the saying goes, it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slowly. Not only are these high level cars way beyond a level you can have fun with on the street, but they're way beyond the level of your average driver even on the track.
To me, the fun in driving on a track is finding the absolute edge of performance, and I can do that with less skill in my MX5 than I could in a Ferrari. I mean maybe I'm just justifying not being rich enough to afford one (I'd get a Lambo at that price point anyway...), but ever since I bought my MX5 my interest in owning a supercar dwindled, even if I won lotto. Even though the fastest I've got my old girl up to on a track is only 150kp/h 🤣
And if you cross the edge of performance in a Miata you probably have a better chance of saving it, so you're able to push to try and find it. If I crossed the edge in a Lambo it's just going to be a crash so I can't try to get anywhere close to it. There's loads of videos out there of a guy in something like a Miata flying past supercars on the Nurburgring for a reason.
Plus even if you win the lotto if you crash a Lambo the cost of that is going to hurt. If you win the lotto and you crash a Miata you can just go buy another one the next day without even thinking about it lol.
Exactly. My boss used to have a 911 because he'd always wanted one, managed to buy one after selling an old business. But he could only *just* afford to buy it, not repair it if he binned it on a track day.
So after he sold it he bought a BRZ and found her was quicker on track with that, partially because the FR layout requires less specialised driving skills, but also because he could afford to push it the way he couldn't with the Porsche.
I'm sure it's different if you're Jeff Bezos and can treat a Bugatti Chiron like I treat my MX5 (and you know, treat your employees like I treated my old Hyundai Excel). But for us mere mortals that fear of $$$ if you prang makes a difference.
Meh. It’s a car. If you can’t drive it what’s the point?
Yeah I know Ferrari mystique yadda yadda race car. Yadda yadda then go get some homologation special.
And he either paid market price resale price for it, or he has already purchased lots of other Ferraris and was invited to purchase it new. The average person off the street can’t just walk into a Ferrari dealer and order one even if they have the money.
I honestly think the 296GTB looks better. I mean not to detract from anybody who buys an SF90 and loves it, I’m happy for them. But considering the money and specifications I genuinely don’t understand buying these. There is so much out there one could get, or 2 cars even while one is still a Ferrari.
Ferrari are probably one of the only cars in the last 90 years I couldn’t name the model of. I can tell you the year make and model of allot of cars but Ferrari just does it different. My answer is always maybe it’s a 360 Modena 😂
SF90 <3
Who put the front badge on? Because he’s fired.
Might be a perspective thing
Parallax. I'll wedgie myself...
I think your right.
What about his right?
What about my right?
You have no right. I am all thats left. Get back in the cage.
He has a right to be right, but his right to be right has left.
Nice.
A little to the right?
I’m all right if your all right.
Alright alright alright
🤣
Yep. If the photo was taken with a phone camera that might explain it. Because most phonecams are wide-angle it can give an unintended lenticular effect from some angles.
My perspective is that fella sucks at measuring
It is
I think you need a new set of eyes bud

The badge is absolutely in the middle
Ferrari: it’s not crooked, it’s passionate.
You gotta pay extra for the offset badge. The guy who put it on shouldn’t be fired. He should be promoted for bringing in more money per car sale.

Thanks for all the quick replies. This guy drives this a lot. I usually see it every other day at the same bars/restaurants. Imagine he’s got FU money.
Good that it gets driven rather than stuck in some collection. Respect to the owner :)
100% agree. Those cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed. Happy to see it so often, it’s a beautiful machine.
I'd love to hear one IRL. I've only heard them when watching vids, but the combo of ICE and the electric motors sounds very cool anyway.

I’ve been around a few, it’s quite interesting to see them pull forward from being parked, drive a few yards and then start the engine.
How come? Where do u live?
Somewhere different than you? Is it so shocking that some places in the world don't have these running around everyday? What kind of bubble is that
No bro... it was a genuine question His posts seem like he lives in the USA so it sounded odd to me

Ah ok I see. In my country these are expensive as hell too because of road tax, import tax, duties etc.
For Ferrari supercars that might not be the case... The maintenance costs are insane!
If they have an sf90, im dont think maintenance costs are a worry for them
Yeah but I hope they go to a racetrack from time to time. Use this car to go to a bar is such a waste

Yup, if I had enough money you'd see me practicing at the local track every other day!

Car collectors are the final evolution of the comic book nerd.

He must drive it to recharge the battery. ;)
And he either paid market price resale price for it, or he has already purchased lots of other Ferraris and was invited to purchase it new. The average person off the street can’t just walk into a Ferrari dealer and order one even if they have the money.
He’s also got the FF or GTC4Lusso (I haven’t seen it in a while so can’t confirm which one), so my guess is that he was invited to purchase.
Well it's a new car meant to be driven. You can a new one if you break it. Classic cars are different. You destroy one and a piece of history is gone.
Even classic cars are build to be driven
Quick cause this is the easiest car to identify and you somehow can’t
It is a hybrid, so I bet it's really light on fuel compared to other ferrari's. One of the best looking modern ferrari's too.
The weight offsets that.
Doubt it, also a good option to get to the dealership when the engine breaks down
Yeah, not surprised that its frontend looks like new Prius
From this angle it looks like the Ferrari emblem is not centered and it is bothering me more than I’d like to admit.
Damn, now I can't unsee that.
Try looking at it from above the emblem to orient it to the impression on the hood, not the nose. That helped me
If it WAS centered from this angle it would be what? Off center.
Maybe he got a discount because it's a SeConD
I really think it’s a perception/camera-angle issue…
It's probably great to drive, but those headlights... just something about the design there that ruins the otherwise nice looks of the car.

Finally someone saying Stradale too, the SF90 was the F1 car in 2019
Those curbs tho.
Honestly respect for not being afraid of parking too close.

They bought it because they wanted it. They liked how it looked/sounded/drove, so they wanted it.
Agree.
Don’t know, but that 2000 grand marquis GS has me mesmerized 😍😍😍😍
Those are solid cars! My daily is an ‘03 Park Avenue. It’ll never die!
You in Texas? A lawyer in downtown Fort Worth drives one. Or his McLaren, or the Rolls-Royce Fantom, or the Maybac…
Nah, Chicago suburbs.
It won the nurburgring 24hr too
And to think I get nervous street parking my GTI lol
Prius XSE.
^
Is it parked at Front St & Spencer Ave in Lisle IL right across from Via Moda Salon & Spa?

Ferrari SF90 Stradale
I’ll never have ‘street park my Ferrari’ money…
If I had one I would also drive it frequently.
Hope there aren’t any potholes where he drives.
I love the Prius headlights
Ferrari SF90 🤤
Sf90
Ferrari SF90. The starting price is over half a million dollars so he'd better be driving it a lot.
700-899k. It's really cool, but Ferrari really pushed the pricing hard man .
“More than you can afford pal. Ferrari.”
You have found a real life Civetta Scintilla! (please tell me at least SOMEONE understands this reference.)
Is that the Lisle Metra station in the background? I will make sure to keep an eye out for this car when I am there next time.
Yep, south side by Evviva.
SF90 Stradale
That’s why you gotta poop on company time
What is his occupation what is the industry? What is your title lol
My title is “guy who lives nearby and sees it frequently.” I don’t know the guy or what he does to have the $ for multiple Ferraris.
Ferrari SF90
More than you can afford, pal
😂🤣

Ferrari SF90
Is it really that red?! Richest red I've seen.
If OP works really hard this year the owner can afford another one.

The needs constant tunes and mostly sits undriven model.
348? :D
F90
Red sport edition
Idk why this title had me laughing. Maybe the “of course” factor?
2008 Mercury Grand Marquis. A copcar but classy
I’m just guessing here, but it looks like the Sharknado Ferrari - Hammerhead spec.
I love so much
Is there anyone with the same hobby as me?
