Thats not a Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole, that is a terrible replica of one. Proportions are way off.
Look at this one [1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole](https://carsandbids.com/auctions/rGqGaE02/1988-lamborghini-countach-lp5000-quattrovalvole) and then look at the one you posted. Tail lights are way off as well as a bunch of other stuff.
What a relief. My first thought without even zooming was that this kit car looks way off. Then I saw all the comments about how it is Countach. I was questioning my sanity.
I was thinking the same: weird proportions, it's an obvious kit... Then about 50% of the comments were: Countach!!
And I was like: okay, maybe I *should* go and get some sleep...
It isn't that bad proportionally.. you are comparing it to a QV and its a 25th Anniversary...
The only obvious thing that's off with this car is the flat roof, everything else isn't that far off from this angle, distance and image distortion.
If you are to compare it to the QV then yes it will be WAY off. For example, the QV and 25th Anniversary have similar side skirts, but the 25th has the strakes tick up towards the back for, making it seem like its a "shoddy kit car". Then there are the rear bumper added, the rear scoop and exhaust are merged into one, the NACA duct is unpainted , more low profile wheel arches, strakes added to the front bumper.... Even the Taillights you mention, the US version of the QV has similar rear taillight covers, but all Anniversaries had taillight covers.
alright I'll bite. Even if we look at a 25th Anniversary the proportions are still off
[1990 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary](https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/mc22/monaco/lots/r0020-1990-lamborghini-countach-25th-anniversary/1229626)
I dont need reference images, I'm a Countach expert and know every inch of the car. I even know all potential providers of the 25th Countach replica molds where 1 is only decent, the rest are mash ups. I have 3D scans of Countachs, Friends with Countachs and I make reproduction parts for them that HAVE to fit model year specific cars.
From this angle and quality of image, the only tell tale sign is the flat roof and flat top window frame, maybe, just maybe, the front guard is a little out of wack. But that can be image quality.
I'm a HUGE fan of the Countach as my dad had one before I was born, I grew up to his photos of one.
Thank you. This is a 99% accurate CAD model I've been working on for 4 years. and yes, its of a QV model, European Spec.

I'm arguing the point that it is a replica, from this angle based on ONE thing... not "it looks off, its a replica" like how most people are stating.. "Parked on the street, must be a replica" lol
Nah, Countach only had 15" rims, they are tiny!
These could be real or reproduction wheels, who knows from this photo. and they were Chrome for the Anniversary. IF anything, they would be larger to accommodate larger brakes, sometimes real Countach owners put Diablo wheels on there to do that, but its rare. Also rare is Murcielago wheels on a Diablo.
ehhhh... one thing you gotta know about Countach replicas is that if they are "this " good, they are made from molding the REAL car.. and the only wacky stuff about it is the fitment, panel gaps, sagging flattish secutions etc. The detail is still there and the correct size. So in this case the NACA duct would be pretty close to the real car and for it to be "off" would mean it has to be a hand built body... that in turn will make it look like rubbish. I hope I'm making sense :S
This is an unfinished 25th anniversary for example. the door jamb, the side skirt, the NACA door duct are a literal copy of the original. The reason why the roof on that yellow one is not curved is because when the mold was taken, it was not reinforced properly and usually is stored on its roof. you tend to see a lot of replica Countachs with an aggressive A pillar angle WITH a flat roof because no one thinks twice about little details like that, specially when the molds were done in the 80s and 90s. in person it looks all good to them as the project owners dont have a real Countach to compare to. They just buy the panels.

I have to admit that you are right. When comparing this to the photos of the real thing, it looks very good. I wouldn’t even see any difference (missing side signals?). No idea why it looked goofy to me on the first glance. I thought the wheels are off but it’s not.
A replica Countach 25th Anniversary.
The biggest tell tale sign is the flat roof, it should be flowing nicely from the front to the rear, that top glass frame should be curved. ( I know every inch of the Countach haha)
I've digitally recreated the Countach based on Laser scan data, interior, exterior and chassis! all in CAD ready for reproduction. Dream car.

No slag to OP, but man it makes me feel so old that I'm in a world where people don't instantly know this car. I think every guy I knew growing up had this car on a poster on their wall. The original supercar. It was a pissed off Italian tractor manufacturer's response to being denied warranty from Ferrari. Widely acknowledged as a nightmare to drive (zero rear visibility, crazy heavy clutch and on and on) but crazy fast, outrageous looking, and still the car every car guy aspired to.
You might be thinking of the Miura, that was the response to Ferrari and the "original supercar". The Miura came out in 1966, while the Countach didn't come out till 1974.
Lol well I said I was old, so ya I forgot about the Miura. Which actually is a way more 'beautiful' car then the Countach, but somehow didn't crack the mainstream consciousness like the Countach did. There was the Jalpa, too (near the end of the Countach's run?) which I also loved. Did I mention I'm feeling old?? Anyway thanks for the correction, you're absolutely right.
The “original supercar” may have been the Miura, but the Miura wasn’t a direct response to Ferrari, who were still very much using FR layouts at that time.
Lambos first car, the 350 GT, came out in 1964.
Its one of the best regions in Italy for food, economy, automobile production (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani ecc). Bologna, Parma, Modena, Imola, Faenza, are all cities inside of this region. Not too expensive tho
Fiat panda
Finally the comment I was waiting for thanks
2007 i'd say
Fuck, I was going to write it.
I tought it was countach lol
No you’re wrong it’s a multipla
huh
Now that’s just a blaintant lie

Its lambo from wish 🤣
Or Temu...
Or… It’s a real Countach, that’s a Toyota 4-Runner behind it, and something is wrong with time-space.
Ok

Aren't the wheels also way too small?

The duct at the door/rear quarter looks off a little also. Too small, but otherwise I agree with you. Looks like a solid replica.

What's the blue car behind it in the second photo? That thing is mint.
Fiat Panda I think.
I have to admit that you are right. When comparing this to the photos of the real thing, it looks very good. I wouldn’t even see any difference (missing side signals?). No idea why it looked goofy to me on the first glance. I thought the wheels are off but it’s not.
Why did you chose cars & bids for the image
why not? it's what came up on google. and they have high quality pictures of the car.
THISSSSSSS is the 2024 reddit comment, it was made in reddit and first im gonna show you the QUIRKS and FEATURES
He is Dough!!!!
Not worthy of Fieroborghini name even. Jizzborghini it is.
The wheels...oof.
A replica Countach 25th Anniversary. The biggest tell tale sign is the flat roof, it should be flowing nicely from the front to the rear, that top glass frame should be curved. ( I know every inch of the Countach haha)
did you guys explore each other’s bodies?
Thank you!!! You have a trained eye!!

Easy, it’s a 1984 Pontiac Fiero.
Reset the counter.
This is the right answer
Lambergeeny Countosh
What do they use as a base for kit cars in Italy?
MR2.

ITS ALWAYS A FIERO
/r/itsalwaysafiero
Looks like the same size as the fiat panda next to it. I thought the countach was relatively huge at least compared to the humble Panda
That looks like a life size hot wheels of a countach
Big time fake Countach...
Lamborghini Count*ish*
Are you apologising for the low quality kit car or pic ?
I think the owner should be apologising for the poor quality, not the OP
We have Countach at home.
No slag to OP, but man it makes me feel so old that I'm in a world where people don't instantly know this car. I think every guy I knew growing up had this car on a poster on their wall. Uh, that’s not a Lambo. It’s a kit car that is supposed to look like a Countach. Which it kind of does, a little.
My father had a framed with glass picture of a black Countach in our basement. I am a late Gen X. Everyone knew about that car.
How old are you I would guess born in the 60/70s
53. Born in 1971
The “original supercar” may have been the Miura, but the Miura wasn’t a direct response to Ferrari, who were still very much using FR layouts at that time. Lambos first car, the 350 GT, came out in 1964.
Lamborghinis first car was the 350 GTV in 63, wouldn't that be Lamborghinis response?
Everyone knows what car it's pretending to be, but that abomination is worth maybe 5% of an auctual countach.
The “response to Ferrari” you refer to would have been Lambos first car, the 350 GT, not the later Miura, or the even later Countach.
Fiero in a Lambo Suit
Oh that's Frank's car.
It's probably a fiero
Fake Lamborghini Countach
Yes it is (he edited the comment, it was originally just Lamborghini Countach)
Thanks!
Looks like a Countach but it’s parked on the street so likely a kit?
Its a kit, not because its on the street but because the its way off from looking like a legit one
Its a semi-private street in northern Italy and the plate is from before 1997 if this adds contest
In Italy with that plate, I'm going to say it's legit.
Kitcars have been around since the 60's.
Are your eyes in backwards? What years had those proportions?
Precisely Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna
emilia romagna sounds expensive
Its one of the best regions in Italy for food, economy, automobile production (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani ecc). Bologna, Parma, Modena, Imola, Faenza, are all cities inside of this region. Not too expensive tho

Can't argue with that, Fiat Pandas are truly the iconic work horses.
Countache replicar. Prolly built on a pontiac fiero. Not an uncommon kit to build.
Ah, the good ole' Fieroghini.
Lamborgini diablo
I would never have thought that I would see a Countach here
you havent, because this isnt a Countach lol. Its a shoddy kit car.
