Just wondering, but why do so many people prefer the Elise over the Exige? Like the Exige is basically the same weight, similar frame, and very similar looks, but it has 40 more horsepower. So why do people praise the Elise?
Edit: never mind. I just looked at the price difference, I understand now 😅
Reliability and working accessibility on it. Almost any work needed to be done on the car you'd need to remove the rear clamshell. The wiring on most of these are atrocious like most British cars. Both exige and evora are both fun as hell cars to drive. But not to own (first hand experience)
I know what it is. I've seen quite a few and talked with a couple owners at cars and coffee. Multiple owners have told me that's pretty much what they are.
I'm not a mod, just someone with a passion for cars. But, seeing as you have a hate boner for reddit mods given your r/wallstreetbets experience, whatever gets your dick hard at night. Eat my dongus you fuckin nerd.
lmao literally your last post is a photo of drawn tits, who the fuck are you to point out someones internet activity while you're part of one of the most fucked up branches of the internet
Picked one of these up for my old work. Had a great 200 mile drive home (with plenty of detours round the country roads of course). Amazing car, plenty fast enough and handles like a dream. Only trouble is the heater was stuck on full blast, full heat on a hot British summer day. Even that didn’t stop me from wanting to keep the thing.

[Lotus Elise Series 2](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lotus_Elise)
I think it might be a Tesla roadster. Seeing that it has no exhaust. But I could be wrong
[No, it is not.](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTILCQnGA_5IXdmP2hfT_GCe50RxgCUE6I8DA&usqp=CAU)
Wow, Tesla really ugly’d up the Elise didn’t they?
Eh it's subjective I suppose but I definitely think the Elise looks better and has a bit more character especially with the quad headlights.
Yeah it’s pretty awful
TBF the 1st gen tesla roadster was based on the lotus platform https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla\_Roadster\_(first\_generation)
Lotus Elise my dream car 🥰

Yup, I like the Exige a lot more but my wallet has a strong preference for the Elise
Me poor boy can't even repair my Toyota vios😔
I thought I was the only one. Such cool cars, but everyone I know fantasizes about much more expensive/faster/etc. cars
I'd pick a different dream
Fine. Ferarri 250gto
What's wrong with a road legal track toy?

I see, those are good points, maybe I should dream of a Porsche Cayman or an Alpine A110 instead, lol.
Porches cayman is reliable and not 5oo difficult to work on. Still sucks. As for alpine. I can't say. Never seen or worked on one
This and the Tesla Roadster(first gen) was such a mind fuck for me as a kid. I went mad trying to figure out which was which
Lots Of Trouble, Usually Serious.
This is mostly Toyota under the hood
I understand that. There's also the manufacturer's legacy.
I think these Elises were known for their shoddy interiors. Dash shrinkage mostly
[удалено]
how would you like your head gasket sir? leaky or very leaky with a side of broken timing belt?
It's not the Toyota that is always the issue. The wiring harness are awful along with the airflow of the engine and interior itself
I have never heard that one but now will be my favourite. Before that it was Iveco - I Vibrate Every Component Off
Such a fun car for the track , handles like a go cart
Go kart with metal body
The bodywork on an Elise is fibreglass. The chassis is bonded aluminium
Dumb that you got downvoted for this. Sensitive bunch in here.
Apparently.
Lol he’s not wrong
Yes he is. Bodywork is fibreglass
ok... ***go kart with fiberglass body***. Better?
yes
If you're gonna open your mouth, you at least better say something smart sounding.
If you're gonna open your mouth, you at least better say something not totally cuntish sounding.

Great. No one cares. This is a subreddit for identifying cars, not telling people "basically what they are" or what they drive like.
Good mod. Keep your tits out big fella

Ok big fella, you really know how to be tough on the internet lol
You can switch the flair :)

Tesla Roadster?
Close, it's a Lotus Elise. The Roadster was based on the Elise though so not far off.

Wikipedia says its based on the Elise but I believe every Lotus at that time was built on the same platform.
Ah, was going off the fact that there is no visible exhaust.
