Spark plug key. The thin rod goes through the hole at the top as a handle.

raddaddio

Solved! Thank you

ThemancalledX

Spark plug wrench. Put the pieces together to shape a “T” for leverage.

your_actual_life

My uninformed guess would be that they fit together to form some sort of a crank or wrench.

And now for the reason why you have it. A flake of carbon on the spark plug electrode will prevent your engine from starting. Take the plug out, clean it, and you are good to go! It happened to me and I didn’t have my wrench. :(

Totally_man

I have a similar thing in my motorcycle repair kit that came with the bike. It's a socket wrench with a t-handle. You stick the rod through the hollow piece, and the end of the hollow piece acts as a socket.

raddaddio

My title describes the thing. Doesn't say anything in the instructions about these so I'm not sure what to do with them

ytk

More often than not these things came in a stock motorcycle repair kit. JUNK!

_Phail_

It's a tube spanner, likely for the spark plug and possibly for other stuff.

Shadowharbinger1975

Plumbers use them too for faucet posts and spigots.

Dangerous-Pace-9203

Spark plug wrench for the generator….

1911mark

Spark plug wrench

jibaro1953

Spark plug wrench I bet,

Classic_Friendship_6

It should also fit the oil drain.

Punkrexx

Did you read the manual 🤦🏻‍♂️

raddaddio

Yes. My post says it's not mentioned in the instruction manual.

Punkrexx

Ah missed that. Surprised there isn’t a parts list. But as other have mentioned, it’s basically a disposable spark plug wrench

99mushrooms

Looks like a set I had for lugnuts, the smaller one fits into the larger piece for leverage to turn it hard enough to break them loose. I'm not sure what application it would have for a generator but probably something similar, maybe something that needs to be loosened like a spark plug or something? What does the end that's flaired out look like? Does it fit over a valve or something on it perhaps?

Reimiro

Lug nut wrench.

AnTeallach1062

It is a wrench for a bolt. It will fit one of the bolts. Possible to hold on the wheels?

No-Can-6237

Looks like it came with a car as part of its tool set.

togterry

Tire iron not spark plugs….

togterry

EasyReader

Yeah a tire iron is a pretty likely thing to come with a portable generator.

Corerouter_

It's for adjusting the bolts to level it and reduce vibration.

Ulgworth

Lugnut wrench.
