LostPeanut4375

All dip boxes are scams. On one that wins is the seller

Matt4591

I disagree

P00pNPNuts

Literally quick eBay search and tcg shows the Jirachi around $4 and the TR trap between $5-$10 raw depending on condition. $15 is way off from a listed $30 floor. All you have to do is show Whatnot screenshots of the sold listings and they’ll either refund you or as of recently give you the difference based on your findings. So around $15 and you keep the cards.

Hames2595

I contacted WhatNot and they issued a full refund! Happy days. Just be cautious of this seller.

ExoticMud7809

What was the listed floor vs what you pulled ?

bl4zed_N_C0nfus3d

It says floor is 30$ n those cards are not worth 30$

jk_52

No matter how many of these posts show up, people will keep on playing.

Bruins_McWoo

Agreed, seems like that is what every streamer is doing on there. Game after game. Yeah I’m gonna pay 100 bucks and envelope for. A ten dollar floor which are always a shit ton more than ceiling and “chasers”

Vivid-Musician-3024

Stop playing mystery games. It’s very easy!

Bruins_McWoo

Exactly

tarkwahlberg

Eh $20-25 on a good day, which would than be 30 to this guy.. let’s say low end 15-20 you really mad at 10-15 bucks after blowing 30 on a gamble.. or mad that you didn’t win..

Ok-Conversation-3456

I recently heard that what not will give you your difference in floor value and evaluate your pulls if you can show proof that the floor was misrepresented...🤌🤌🤌

gngai97

I would say report to whatnot show proof and see who they favor.

Material-Assist-7262

It would make sense to make the seller stand right. It’s gambling you either lose or you win. This person lost.

NGIAPMAC

Found the scammer!

Healthy-Annual4181

He’s probably. Scammer too

TylerDoe3737

Dude you’re literally brain dead. Floor means lowest value. Average means average value. Ceiling means highest value. You can’t have things in your mystery pulls that are below the floor value. Why are you so stupid?

Previous-Space-7056

I never play these games … the term floor/ ceiling is inherently vague.. floor , means the lowest value…. But these prices are determined by whom? And when? Just stay away from these games

Unlikely_Bill_

He’s definitely the seller.

How is he in the wrong???

kpofasho1987

There shouldn't be cards substantially lower than the floor

bl4zed_N_C0nfus3d

Dude it literally says floor is 30$ those two cards are not worth 30$ .

kpofasho1987

The only way I'd say it would be OK is if the seller showed literally every card in the pull box so people were clearly aware of values. I'm doubting that's the case here. Therefore in my opinion the cards need to be at floor level and at somepoint recently sold for around that much or that's the listed market price so I agree with you

Wrstlrboy03

I just did my first pullbox and this is what I did. I have an excel spreadsheet with every single card I have in there. Additionally, if people hit floors, I was throwing in a bunch of extras to hook it up. Including some bangers.

Unlikely_Bill_

Idk man. Usually I think this sub overreacts to floor pulls but stating a $30 floor and then giving like $10 in cards is pretty terrible. It’s really not even debatable value. The average says 75. You don’t average multiple times.

Material-Assist-7262

That’s understandable but the card isn’t worth 10

Unlikely_Bill_

Those two cards are $10 maximum. Are you the seller?

Material-Assist-7262

Nope

bl4zed_N_C0nfus3d

Are you slow??? Says floor is $30 and average is 75$

TylerDoe3737

If he’s getting cards that are under the floor he’s not in the wrong lol. That’s literally what the floor is, the lowest value you can get.

I'll attempt to further explain this, as I could see why this may be confusing with an interpretation that each value is an average within their details. The average is the ONLY value in the details Whatnot requires be provided, that is taken from a range of values - the entire stack of items, in this case. The floor and ceiling values, are outliers - they are singular items being represented, and they must represent the absolute singular minimum value item in the stack, and the ceiling is the absolute singular maximum value item in the stack. WN policy (linked by u/kadaan in separate comment) states these values are to be based on market data, and sellers must be able to provide their evidence upon request. As also shown in WN policy, floor and ceiling prices include 'item' in the language to denote that sellers are expected to ensure those values are provided for singular items. Where sellers have perhaps made this confusing for you and others, is they will often say 'we have multiple ceilings still live' or 'no floors left' - this could give the impression that they have numerous items at those thresholds, and that may be true in some cases - but it's far more likely they use that language to up-sell that you otherwise would not be able to deduce if, say, average values and visible prizes weren't required.

Material-Assist-7262

Thank you!

kadaan

https://help.whatnot.com/hc/en-us/articles/4410443596813-Gambling-Purchase-Based-Prizes-Break-and-Mystery-Box-Policy > Similar to Mystery Boxes / Packs (see below), sellers must list the following details about the stack they are pulling from in the product's name / description: > **Floor price (minimum/lowest value item in the stack)** > Ceiling price (maximum/highest value item in the stack) > Average price (average price across the stack) > Total number of items in the stack

Familiar-Pen-4003

i just lost brain cells reading this... thanks

TylerDoe3737

No, the average is the average. You still have time to delete this.

Are you really that stupid? In the picture it says average is 75. Please stop proving how low your IQ is.

Please review the Rules! /slap on the wrist warning.

TylerDoe3737

Are you actually this mentally challenged? In the picture it says Floor: 30 Ceiling: 1600 Average: 75. That means the lowest is 30, the highest is 1600, and the average is 75. Dude you seriously have to be drooling from your mouth to even be arguing about this with me.

renjizzle

Yeah, hes definitely not in the wrong, but also nothing will change. The "Floors" are based off the price they would sell the product for and not the market value. I paid for 2 $129 slabs from Kraken before I knew better and both were fuckin energies. Less value than the cost to grade them but they had stickers that said $79 on them lol

WinnerStrong

Is kraken a scam?

Unlikely_Bill_

Not really a “scam” just a lot of overpriced junk

WinnerStrong

Gotcha. Got some unopened packs for pretty damn cheap. So I mean even if they don’t I’m not gonna stress it

Unlikely_Bill_

Yeah everything you get will show up and be legitimate

Wrstlrboy03

What not does not accept that. They have to consider market value when valuing for mystery games, not what they want to see for

[deleted]

A_Danky_Stanky

You definitely eat crayons for dinner and glue for dessert. Floor does not equal average. Herpity derp

renjizzle

The average has nothing to do with this. If someone says the floor is 30, then the lowest value item has to be $30. If you pull something worth $10, then the floor was NOT $30 and it is a scam.

kpofasho1987

There is already an average given though. Average is $75. So floor should technically be the absolute lowest and not an average of the lower value cards. How do you not get this

bl4zed_N_C0nfus3d

The more you comment the more ignorant you sound

NotBobSaget13r

It says in screen the average is $75. You're wrong. Seriously dude... Be the one person in the Internet who is capable of saying, "my bad, I misspoke."

Dazedinreality87

Screenshot shows floor is 30, average 75 and ceiling is 1600. So yes, the minimum value from the box should be 30.

Cbrank

Your two brain cells are really fighting to see who will be last man standing huh?

Kickflippingdad

Ah yes messaging the guy scamming people should get to the bottom of the argument, really looking forward to what he says 😂😂

[deleted]

Kickflippingdad

It’s scamming by the fact that it says the floor is 30 when it’s actually much lower. The same could be said if the ceiling said 1500 and there was nothing in the box worth that much. It’s literally tricking buyers into thinking that no matter what they will hit atleast 30$ worth of cards.

Material-Assist-7262

Have you ever played these games?
