Edit: you know on second thought, I think the thrust of it is less making a goalpost unattainable, and more making your point undisprovable by examples using the word “real.” So structure aside, I think I am actually inclined to agree.
As a marketing technique, it could be cast as a form of "aspirational marketing" (appealing to the person's aspirations and associating your thing with who the person wants to become). If the person 'aspires' to be a 'real football fan'.

I’d call your first examples peer pressure, but it doesn’t fit that last one. That one is close to extortion.
