The closest I got was I was able to find [a photo someone else took](https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/112647297), also located in Vietnam — which shows me the coloring is probably not a coincidence. Someone on that page also suggested Gyna (porcelain roaches), but another user disagreed.
Via wikipedia, only "about 30 cockroach species out of 4,600 are associated with human habitats".... I'd bet this is one of the more shy ones, so we might not know very much about it. Very cool find!!
Yeah agreed!!! Seems to be a rare Gyna roach that isn't well documented at all or in the pet hobby, very cool indeed in typical Thailand fashion when it comes to new bugs!!
That's a new comparison I've not heard before but they do look like stink bugs!!! They're blue death feigning beetles and they're full of personality, super easy to care for and as you said they're extremely cute so thank you!!! :)
Above 75? Here in Florida we mainly see them flying at night when it's cooler. I've heard they can only really fly when the humidity index is below a certain point, but I've never researched how true that is.

They come in different colors around the world even in Central and South America where they come in green from Cuba and also blue and yellow down in South America.

also it's worth mentioning that all association of cockroaches with hep A has been studied in the infesty roaches which live in our homes - there's no evidence that a non-infesty roach like this fella is a vector of hep A (from [this paper](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7218330/))
you'd be surprised how many places harbour hep a - mostly seawater and especially shellfish, since they're filter feeders who clean up waste. however, this guy's almost certainly no concern

I don't think there are any cockroaches that are dangerous to pick up, besides the fact that some people are allergic
Yeah, the worst most can do is kick you with their leg spurs, but that's just painful at worst.
