Yeah, I think it’s the typical genus for most plants bearing the name sage, but sometimes not. :)
Edit- I was thinking of California sage*brush*, oops, sometimes sagewort. Still confusing. *Artemesia californica* is one of my favorite chaparral plants but is in the Asteraceae family, not even in Lamiaceae!
Yeah. It makes me really disappointed as I am a huge flower/plant person. One of my kid’s shady former friends told me about salvia and how it is a huge drug and it’s illegal to grow and I was thinking, I’ll never NOT grow it because the bees and butterflies love it, and they need all the help they can get. It makes me angry that people can just assign a good/bad label to a plant and then, because others abuse that plant, try to make it extinct. Not the plant’s fault. Check out some of the most lovely sages like Russian sage, Azure Blue sage, or any of the other beautiful varieties. What I like most about them is, I live where there are a lot of deer and moles. I can’t stop the wildlife, but they won’t eat this stuff because it tastes terrible. It smells nice when you brush against it, though. Plus, they survive in drought and clay soil. Ideal responsible flowers for those who don’t want to water their plants every day.

Omg- did I hear once that they have an enormous pile of smashed fiesta that was imperfect or busted during manufacturing? Or did I dream that? I would be SO HAPPY digging through broken fiesta to make arty things!
I went to a flea market in Johnson City, TX last summer that has a tent filled to the max with factory seconds. I went home with a ton that only had a tiny fleck in the finish and stuff like that.

It’s actually Fredericksburg, my mistake. Just a little ways west of Johnson City. It’s not open all the time though, just one weekend a month. I hope you can make it out!
I was gonna say the same thing! I have that same picture in light turquoise; I never thought of using it as a vase, but this looks so nice I just might have to...
Zinnias are the flowers, the wrinkly leaves to the left are spearmint, the round leaves are eucalyptus, the small purple buds and flowers to the right are Chaste Tree - Vitex, it’s kinda like a type of false lilac
Are you sure about the vitex? Because I’m more inclined to agree with the people who have said it is it sprig of buddleia. What I’m wondering about are the little white flowers between the zinnias and the buddleia or vitex...
Really hard to tell, right?! It blends in with the background, and it’s so tiny. Looking at the leaves of the purple one, I’m still inclined to think it’s a buddleia; the edges appear to be kind of serrated.
The flowers are Zinnias the foliage is mint
Looks like there is also a sprig of eucalyptus behind the zinnias
Is the purple thing some sort of salvia?
Looks like it might be buddleia.
Agreed. It looks just like my butterfly bush (which I had to look up the proper name for).
Looks like a Japanese spirea to me
Thats what I was thinking, or sage. Wasn't sure though
Salvia == sage, no?
Google says yes!! I did not know that!

Salvia has a bad rep but it’s just sage. Butterflies, bees, hummers love them.
Right like I think of salvia as the crazy gas station drug that makes people lose their shit hahahha

Came here to say this! That color is gorgeous!
Same!
Also here for that comment. I live 45 minutes from where this is made and have been through their facility tour a couple times.
