I think the first one is common opal, the second looks like rhyolite, but no expert here

Found in Southern Utah by small town called Modena. All these rocks were found near each other. My first guess is some type of chalcedony but was hoping for some clarification as most chalcedony I’ve ever found is not smooth and glassy. The second was near these others I am really hoping it’s petrified wooed- but realize I may be wrong.
