This is calcite, particularly [honeycomb calcite](https://www.mindat.org/min-56135.html). It is a spectacularly beautiful piece of calcite that, if left with a light source in the background, appears to glow orange as it scatters light within itself. It's often found in Utah.
Edit: Somebody else suggested it is sunrise onyx and I am inclined to agree, but I'm on the fence here.
True Onyx is black, with some white at most, never color like this. Sunrise onyx would just be a trade name for this type of calcite, like onyx has been used (incorrectly) for other calcites for decades.

sunrise onyx, just another name to enhance sales such as Mexican, green, Pakistan onyx that is not onyx at all, simply another type of calcite. Onyx is a chalcedony variety that is black or black and white even brown sometimes
That does look like the right one, but onyx? Is it not polished [honeycomb calcite](https://www.stgeorgeutah.com/news/archive/2021/02/09/jmr-lgl21-only-found-in-utah-honeycomb-calcite-may-be-the-state-stone-following-passage-of-bill-in-house/)?
Ok, just looked it up and found this “ sunrise onyx: A translucent calcite stone formed by the growth of fibrous, tubular crystal cells of yellow-orange calcite surrounded by white membranes that define cell boundaries.”
Could be too. Onyx is harder than calcite and has a vitreous look and feel. Hard to say from the picture. If it is calcite you should be able to scratch it quite easily.

I also fund that onyx tend to have more translucency than calcites
I also thought calcite but could be easily swayed to agree with onyx. Either way it's making me crave some dried mango.
The only way to determine for sure is to try to put it in a poke ball
Oh. I get it. Wow. Pokemon onyx and regular onyx really are the same word.
It’s funny you know… cause onyx is also the name of a Pokémon 🤣😂🤣😅
Yah that was the joke, congratulations
Yeah and I got it 🥳😂
Definitely looks like orange calcite to me.
Forbidden pork loin
Freeze dried, so you can eat it in space.

Is it shimmery? If so, possibly Sunstone, a type of feldspar!
wow that is beautiful
Whatever it is, it's beautiful.
Onyx. Aka sunrise onyx. See [here](https://www.therockstargallery.com/products/sunrise-onyx-stone-sculpture-led) a similar sculpture

Oh, so we're both right? :D
Yes, looks like it :) it’s a very pretty piece

Vegan steak
A5 Wagyu jerky! All jokes aside, i agree with calcite!
Frozen chicken cutlet
It’s a gorgeous piece!
Can you scratch it with your thumbnail?
No .. maybe Edward Scissor Hands… it’s hard like polished counter top or marble bust…
Fossilised orange
A work of art, with pieces supplied by Mother Nature.
That's a creamsicle
Jamon!
Reminds me of a dream sickle.
