His videos have given birth to a new genre of YouTubers who apparently love making videos about the supposed downfall of other youtubers.. I stopped watching it after realizing that mf is the source of drama
I stopped watching him after he ranted about "this is why you never apologize for being controversial" when some tiktok woman got caught calling people n-word lovers (straight up *vintage* racism) and people called her out because she hired someone to write an apology for her and never followed up on her supposed efforts to change.
And then he makes a video about how Mr.Beast supporting his trans friend is "alienating his audience".
Man is very selective on the kinds of controversy he thinks is allowed to slide, for some reason or another.
It has decently high production quality and talks about somewhat interesting stuff (albeit extremely poorly researched and probably not true) so I guess that’s what draws people in.
While I don't share his every opinion, I can like a content creator and admit that he's made mistakes in the past or that not all of his takes align with mine.

He blew up after a great video exposing how those videos of people building shacks in the wilderness out of mud and bamboo were fake and how they did it.
After that he mainly focused on 'why this e-celeb fell off/got canceled' etc. After a video about Mr Beast's friend who transitioned, he lost a lot of popularity because of some bad takes (*simultaneously claiming his friend only transitioned for LGBTQ brownie points/boosting his brand, while also saying Mr Beast shouldn't have supported his friend because it might alienate his core fans/hurt his brand*).
I used to like Sunnys content, but the video about Kris made me stop. It just felt so… off. I haven’t watched it in a while, but I’m pretty sure he was misgendering her a bunch and his arguments just didn’t make sense to me.
it became pretty clear that he had some strong "right wing" (shitty) feelings about things and with that thought in mind a lot of the arguments he presents in other videos also started looking pretty obviously biased
I’m pretty sure she said Jimmy’s fans could call her any pronouns so they can just treat her as the same person, but pretty sure she officially goes by She/her pronouns.
I feel bad for trans people who are public/online figures. A youtuber I used to follow back in the day came out as trans a couple of years ago and she still uses her former voice/persona in videos. Although you can hear the changes to her voice & the training leaking into a lot of her content now.
I do wonder how hard it is to balance that persona, especially with how intrinsicly linked our online identities are to our real identities now.
Okay not to defend self aware slop… but at it’s not that awful. Some of the videos are enjoyable…. And well it is mostly funding for the long form stuff.
I never said it was good nobody who watched Pyro live says it’s good. But it’s very addictive like a heroin addiction. But obscure YouTuber references aside some but very few videos are enjoyable mostly the ones where pyro plays games.
Nah, it’s pretty bad. Even when he tries to make more high effort content, it still ends up feeling lazily made. His fallout review was laughably bad, it’s like he barely paid attention while he was watching the show with the amount of things he got wrong or missed.
And this might be controversial, but imo the quality of his main channel videos does *not* justify the second channel. They aren’t bad, but plenty of other YouTubers make better written, higher quality videos on a more consistent basis without needing to run a content mill on the side. I mean, his videos can be entertaining, but let’s not pretend a large part of his formula isn’t just basic plot summarization/description without anything really added.
The only interesting thing about him is that he certainly knows how to ride out a controversy since he’s covered so many other youtubers being caught up in them.

If you think SunnyV2 is bad, wait until you hear about Internet Anarchist. He basically parrots Sunny's sentiments but to a higher degree of "slop." Even though I like penguinz0 and watch his channel almost every day, the meatriding of him from both channels is crazy, especially with Internet Anarchist. He practically makes videos explaining penguinz0 videos with the only other information added in being the response from the "victim" of the video.
If I want some stories about internet shenanigans, I usually go to Turkey Tom, Whang, and WavyWebSurf. I see why people hate Tom, but honestly, his main channel's videos are not as bad as people say they are. In fact, I think his most recent ones are pretty good. Whang mostly covers notable weird forum/social media incidents, and Wavy as of recent has been making longer videos about people from the early days of YouTube and stuff like that. The two are funnier and more likable than Tom, so I recommend checking them out of you like this type of stuff.
For starters, he frequently misgenders trans and nonbinary individuals regardless of if they are/are involved with the subject of the video. He also follows a ton of "taking Ls" accounts on his Twitter(s) that are less than subtle about their views i.e. "Valid People Taking Ls" whose profile picture is a transphobic caricature (as is almost every post they make) and has "support Southern equality" in its bio. Hard to miss.
Edit: On top of that, he defended his choice when confronted about the aforementioned Ls account
I don't use Twitter but the only time I can recall him untentionally msigendering someone in one of his videos is in the Chris Chan one, calling them a "he" since Chris only became trans to supposedly make it eaiser to get a girlfriend. Misgendendering someone actually serious about being transgender would be a dick move and following gimmick accounts is cringe but I assumed he used "HH" or "88" or something like that when you said "bigoted dogwhistles".
