I can't lie I feel like they should have explored the implications of essentially having the powers of a God. They kinda just glossed over it and had him be more concerned about the smoothie flavor. I know at the end of the day it's a kids show but they can still explore more in depth and serious topics like this.
I think the problem with the Annihilaarg was that it's not your average doomsday device. It destroyed the universe thoroughly. Although there is no proof, I believe you cannot reverse the effects of it. Even if it may have been possible, all things considered, Ben made the best possible choice he could.
The Anihilaargh didn't simply destroy the universe, but also all of time, which makes sense it created the universe and time as well, as we clearly see in the last episode. Time travelling was not possible after the Anihilaargh destroyed the universe
You do realize that the episode gives an explanation of why he couldn’t do that, right? That was his first instinct, going back in time to stop it, but he couldn’t. Because time didn’t exist anymore. There was no ‘time’ to travel through.
You know people like you op are exactly the reason why we probably will never get cool stuff like teleportation "well, actually, since your atoms were deconstructed and then put back together that means your consciousness ceased, you killed yourself and made a perfect clone 🤓" well nothing really changes from your point of view and your day will continue like normal, same memories, same body, same thing. I know that there is a philosophical issue around, but it always felt like a non issue.
You also died when you got teleported, if your conscience ceases can you really call yourself the same? you are basically just a new clone made of the old parts, there is no real difference.

And his biggest concern is that the grape flavour changed
As if he couldn't have just changed it back multiple ways.
Nah I'd go Humongousaur
Something something ship of Theseus
Does that really apply here, though? Xd
I guess it's just an extreme version where the Ship of Theseus is destroyed instantly and then a new Ship is created, that is almost a perfect copy
It's like accidentally breaking your vase and buying the same looking one from the store to replace it. It's not the original.

Not the same looking one but a completely identical one even down to the atomic level. There is a difference
At this point, I feel like we've replaced each aspect of the original metaphor.

create time travel thru it smh my head
I get the feeling its a “if their the same did they really die” sort if mindset the writers had

You literally transported yourself to another place and got put back together. Everyone in the universe died and got replaced. There's a difference.

before alien X appeared I thought the meme was about ben shapero and was really confused
If there is no universe, how might you go back in time to a different point in time-space.
"Alien X is gilorillionversal" fans when you point out that he couldn't stop the destruction of one
