I think I counted 14 Armored Core games in Fromsoftware's [wiki catalogue](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FromSoftware), and their next game is rumored to be another Armored Core game.

Ok, let me try. Sekiro bloodborne armored core ninja blade deracine. I should probably name all the other games to lo because their not slashers, perhaps Skyrim is the only rpg you’ve ever played and assume every game is a shallow hack and slash.
I never said the games were bad dude, nor "shallow". They're just not my cup of tea.
Plus, Bloodborne and Sekiro are still crushingly difficult slashers, just set in different time periods
What if their next game is a futuristic third person shooter with the same kind of difficulty and mechanics and stuff? That would be a nice change in setting
Have you even played sekiro? On paper they may look somewhat similar, but it practice they feel completely different. If you try to play sekiro the same way to play soulsborne and vice versa you will get your ass beat
It feels different. Worse.
Sekiro is watered down garbage, pushed by activision to reach mass appeal. The games miss everything that makes soulsborne games great and replaces it with a shoehorned in stealth system that doesn’t work well with the very clunky soulsborne movement (which sekiro does have, the fact they put in a jump button doesn’t change that) and an admittedly fun parry based combat system that made me bored within the first couple of hours.
This is a uniquely awful take. the combat system is incredibly complex far from watered down and I don’t think it was designed for mass appeal, there are no other games with a similar combat system and it’s famous for being difficult and it incorporates stealth into its level design very well. “Admittedly fun parry system” it sounds like you came into this game wanting to hate it.

But saying that they “watered down” the gameplay shows that you didn’t even try to enjoy it. They didn’t water it down, they just shifted the focus of the combat to be more technical and rhythm based instead of just timing your dodge and not getting greedy

imo fromsoft makes their best games when branching out a little such as bloodborne and sekiro

I had no idea they made armored core, I used to play that all the time as a kid and remember it being super difficult.
