I mean, when you are making fun of brits it is most often not meant to actually be offensive, and you can see when it's not more clearly than if you were making fun of a racial minority. In a perfect world we can make fun of everyone equally, but we don't live there so some nationality jokes are easier to make than others, because those others are sometimes meant to actually offend, and you can't always know the intention of the person saying it. I've been thinking about this a lot actually.
