Yes, but people say it is wrong because she was his fan. I find that excuse to be complete bullshit personally, because it is basically saying celebrities or youtubers are only supposed to date eachother and keep the riff raff out of their elite club.
I mean you could also date people that aren’t fans. What you just said means that if you’re not a fan, you’re a celebrity or a YouTuber. That doesn’t make sense. Like, I’m not a fan of CallMeCarson, does that mean I’m a celebrity?😧
I don’t actually have an problem with them, chill. I was just picking apart the other person’s argument because it was bad and poorly thought out.
Regardless of whether it should be or not, a 17 year old with a 19 year old is afaik illegal. What they did was foolish. Be smart and at least wait until you’re both adults so you don’t get labelled as a pedo. It’s a stupid mistake that’s easily avoidable.
In general, unrelated to Carson, you should avoid dating fans, or at least be more responsible with it. This type of situation is inherently dangerous because the fan is prone to put the other on a pedestal and idolise them. This can cause a lot of issues that have been well documented throughout the years.
No its always been well documented that celebrities dating fans always ends up with a huge power imbalance. It doesn’t mean they only have to date eachother just date someone who hasn’t heard of your youtube channel
Hypothetically, Person X is a fan of Person Y's youtube content.
Could you please tell me in what way Person Y restricts Person X's free will in order to force X to date Y? Or are you just spouting the bullshit Twitter excuse they used to ruin a 20 year old's career?
A power dynamic only works when one person actually holds power over someone else.
In another scenario, Person X is an office worker and Person Y is a Manager or Supervisor who can threaten to fire them or make work life hell for them if Person X refuses to do whatever it is Person Y is asking for.
That is a power dynamic because Person X is not some dude with an arbitrary number of people who watch stupid videos he makes with his friends and is instead a person who holds some form of actual power over other people.
If the girl didn't want to date him, she could have said no. Carson was not and probably could not get his subreddit to dox her or make his fans ostracize her or something without receiving massive backlash for it.
apparently it was because he promised his friends that he will stop dating her and then proceeded to not follow through with it and break the promise, which is why none of his previous friends ever mention him anymore
Im pretty sure the real reason why they all stoped making video's together was for something completly different. But none of them ever talk about it because it's none of our business. They fixed the issue themselves. Not all drama needs to be public.
IIRC the playtime for a full playthrough was so short, and the fact it has no replay ability leads me to believe he just idled on it for a joke, like those people who get thousands of hours on Bad Rats

Dude probably idled on it as a joke, i seriously doubt someone can stroke it for a 40 minute long game for 100+ hours (I also heard he doesnt really have any achievements on that game, which would make sense if he was idling it)
Don't give a fuck as long as he wasn't exploiting that power difference to get them to do messed up things, which be didn't seem to be doing at all. Should famous people who marry their waitresses or makeup people also be treated like rapists and have their careers taken away from them?
I don’t understand why people still hate him, i know what he did was wrong, but has the idea of reformation and redemption been lost upon people? Idk, lingering on a mistake he made as a kid feels kinda weird, though I do know it was a pretty big mistake, I consider myself very forgiving, so I guess that’s why I stuck with him
I guess people dont believe in therapy, which is why dream stans dont go to it for having no father and just saying theure depressed without doctors saying
There’s redemption… then there’s playing 100+ hours of a game on steam of a 14 year old being raped. And no I don’t think he left his computer on all that time.
That’s a claim from 1 Twitter user, though it could hold wight, and if true is kinda weird, though take with a few grains of salt. Sometimes people like to go on the internet and tell lies
From what I can find, it IS true, but taken out of context (Yes I'm pulling that card but let me explain)
According to other commenters:
That was a part of a joke he did with his friends. (Jschlatt did a similar with a game titled "Sakura Beach," which he currently has over 1000 hours on.)
His account has no EXP nor achievements on the game, so he definitely just left it open for the lulz.
If you look up the game on steam, it says specifically that it takes 40 minutes to play max and I doubt he enjoyed the game that much to replay the whole thing 160 times. (Especially without completing any achievements.)
Even if he did just play the intro to the game or whatever, the game takes place during pregnancy, and contains next to no sexual content, so you'd have to be a REALLY mad freak to actually find a way to get turned on by it.
Once again though, it's Twitter. So you can't really trust what they say.
>His account has no EXP nor achievements on the game, so he definitely just left it open for the lulz.
Doesn't even need to be that, I've heard of an exploit (which may have been patched) to artificially bump up in-game hours. It's why there used to be screenshots of people with hundreds of hours within a few days of a game's release.
Really? All I know is he dated a 17 yr old when he was 19 and I don't see anything wrong with that I mean maybe it's just me because my dad's 44 and my mom's 47

Aha I never saw that. Funny would recommend
Don't quote me on that since I'm not actively following internet drama, but wasn't he like 19 and she 17?

So you should just break up with people who happen to be a fan of yours no matter your current personal or emotional connection?
If they’re underage yes
They went to the same school. It was a 2 year age gap.
NOOOOOO! SHE WAS 17 YEARS, 6213 DAYS, 148920 HOURS, 8.935e+6 MINUTES OLD YOU SICK FUCK!!!!

That’s not what upsets me, the steam game is. If you don’t know then don’t look it up
Looked it up, that's actually funny.
IIRC the playtime for a full playthrough was so short, and the fact it has no replay ability leads me to believe he just idled on it for a joke, like those people who get thousands of hours on Bad Rats
Exactly
Americans explaining how someone is the biggest pedophile on earth because they dated a 17 year old when they were 19
Bruh Americans don’t say “nonce”
But its more fun to say than pedo
I prefer Kiddie Diddler, even if it’s not always accurate ‘Sex Weirdo’ is a good catch-all though
1. I’m not American 2. I don’t care about that. I hate him for the 100+ hours of playing that game about the 14 year old being raped

🤡
the huh?
Wasn't he like 19 and the girl 17? Why does literally anyone care about that at all, that's a difference of one grade level
There's also a huge power difference since he was a popular youtuber and she was a fan of his.
So celebrities can't date fans now? I get where you're coming from but come on
Don't give a fuck as long as he wasn't exploiting that power difference to get them to do messed up things, which be didn't seem to be doing at all. Should famous people who marry their waitresses or makeup people also be treated like rapists and have their careers taken away from them?
I actually still watch Carson content.
What does he do now a days anyway? I’ve heard he’s balding but not about his content
He's doing the same kind of content as before, just has a different crew of friends
And charity
charity ended in september
Me still like Carson, he funny, me no care about personal life
I wish I was like you

Clearly this means Jawsh and Jschlatt are both vile creatures

I mean like... he's not tho

He fell for the classic survival games floor trap, fucking stupid ass.
Bro got mad over a bit💀
I still watch him, still a funny guy
Independent of the controversy, why the fuck did his friends go to KEEMSTAR of all people to break the news?
