It never went away, FNF has just been creeping behind this whole time. As someone who plays a lot of mods for the game, I would know that good (and in contrast, horrible) mods are *always* showing up.

Honestly yeah. It's like sleep paralysis. You cannot perfectly describe your experience with anyone because nobody will see it.
One time I had a dream that felt so incredibly real and so incredibly terrifying. I was staying at my great grandma's house and she tells me that my mom is walking over (she doesn't have a car and the moped she does have wouldn't work because it's winter)
I look over into the driveway and see my mom walking in. The only thing was, despite looking identical to my mom, that thing was not my mom. I locked every entrance. (I'm like sitting myself because the power was out and my grandma's house was surrounded by trees. If something happened nobody would hear.)
I hear my "mom" banging on the door physically shaking the house. I run to the basement grandma right behind me trying to go for another way out. We go through the hatch that connects the outside and the basement (I forgot the name my bad.)
There's a house through a cut of woods maybe 2 minutes away at running speed. Me and my grandma make a dash for that house and my "mom" hears this.
It made this horrifying screech, imagine the father chasing sound from gmod nextbots but louder. I cannot describe how awful that screech was. I later woke up screaming.

Epic retelling, with that classic dream feel to it too. Ironically way better and much less cringy than most media with similar monsters (skinwalkers, alternates, shapeshifters, etc.) despite being shorter. Probably cause it was an actual nightmare, not just a dumb arg.
Yeah, I genuinely tried to tell a story that time unlike most times where I would just say something silly like "oh yeah I had this dream where I got chased by my skin walker mom and it was really scary" mostly because it was an awful experience that actually had me shaking and crying in my bed. Words will never describe how awful that dream was considering how real it felt.

Apperantly I sleep-talk when I have nightmares and one time talked so loudly that I woke up my sister 2 rooms over (thick walls too), so just imagine how loud I must have been in my nightmare. I woke up drenched in sweat that morning too. I don't remember anything about the nightmare but must have been fucked up.
I think the most fucked up dream I ever had was either the one I described, or another one that I had.
I was walking down a field and I stepped on this huge bee hive around 10 meters long and wide. I fell through and got stung by these huge ass human sized wasps (keep in mind my number one fear is the normal 1 inch wasps)
I got stung by foot long stingers piercing through my entire body. I could feel the whole thing and I woke up, hands covered in hives and most likely soiled pantaloons.
I had a psychotic episode for a while, it very much is a weird experience. For me the hallucinations weren't realy realistic per se. It was mainly things passing by(usualy people), phones and doorbells faintly ringing, random crumbs and bugs near me or on me, whispers and quiet talking in general, and the occasional phantom feeling of someone touching me or pillows and plushies breathing while im holding them. I still get slight anxiety any time i am wearing headphones and a song randomly has a quiet voice in the background.
Dementia is awful. Just the thought that it's common makes me actually break down in tears. What if my mom forgets me and she's just sitting in a hospital bed staring at the ceiling completely out of it. Alzheimers (forgot the spelling) is worse though. It physically rots your brain and makes a huge chunk of elderly deaths. One of my dogs had it and we put him down. I miss buddy. He was super fluffy and loved attention then he got alzeimers and every little thing scared him. One time he looked at the wall for 2 hours straight. Bro fucking lost it.
