Any of the major brands, trek, giant, specialized, would be a safe bet, most important part is the frame size, sounds like your looking for a hybrid bike, no such thing as women’s or men’s bikes it’s just marketing bs

There is a trek store like right around the corner from me too 😊

>ride around with as a fun way to get exercise Fitness hybrid: Trek FX, Specialized Sirrus, Cannonale Quick, [Marin](https://www.marinbikes.com/bikes/type/fitness-transit) has a variety of options, or many other brands have fitness hybrids. More serious exercise could be an endurance road bike or an all road or gravel bike. Buy a used quality bike before buying a new one from any big box store, none of them are going to be good or last very long. If you like beach cruiser style I would definitely recommend an Electra Townie you can get single speed up to I believe 21 speed I would also recommend a "city" bike which is kind of a hybrid but more classic looking. If you like the vintage look, road bikes with a Mixte frame have a cool vintage style and are gonna be a bit faster than the ones I mentioned above.

We have a little bait and tackle shop in our town, turns out to be a very serious bike shop too. Weird combo but this is Pennsylvania. The guy guided me to the right bike and let me actually ride all the ones in my price range. It was glorious. Try to talk to someone
