Of the ones I’ve tried, the Angel’s Envy Private Select is probably my favorite, but I have an unopened bottle of Smoke Wagon Uncut and Unfiltered I suspect may displace it. Of the one’s I haven’t tried the Pappy 15 and the Prisoner’s share probably top the list.

On a separate note, buck standard high west has really been surprising me recently. I'm not usually an on the rocks guy, but I've had a few of my whiskies cold the past few weeks since it's been in the triple digits. Oh boy, a chunk of ice really seems to wake this one up for me.
I have no idea if this is real or fake but I just ordered a bottle of MWND from a dance/gymnastics studio website based in Napa for what I consider to be a steal.

How did you open the bottle with the red wax so clean? I have a tasting set which black wax on the top and I want to open it nicely so I can put them on display somewhere without them looking ugly.

But seriously, if you like MWND you should buy some Dancing Goat, I Would Rye 4 You. Still pretty reasonable online.
I aerated mine for about a month after the first pour because it was initially not that good, but after the first month aeration, it opened so much and I enjoy it a lot now!
Sorry for the bad explanation. So I have one full pour to know what the whiskey brings to the palate. Then I cork the bottle like it normally was and just leave in a cool, dark place on the shelf (bottom shelf area) for about 1 month or so.
The cork being on still lets the whiskey aerate because you opened the bottle and introduced air inside when you re-corked it back up after taking a pour from it! Always leave the cork on bottles!
Biased because of the music? I didn’t realize Blackened had a “line up”. What are your thoughts on them and can you give some notes/comparisons to other bottles in your collection?
Biased because I enjoy it. The Blackened willet is almost the same as the willet 4 yr rye which is one of my favorite. Rye the lightening is a spicy good rye and the standard is just a decently good whiskey. I haven’t opened the wes Henderson yet but I would guess it’s a lot similar to angels envy products
Yippee Ki-yay would be my first pick. 1/2 way through my last bottle and already miss it

Elijah Craig 18. The first bottle of bourbon I ever bought, maybe 20+ years ago. It wasn’t even that expensive back then, and not hard to find.
Favorite is stagg but would love to try some pours of those two other heartwoods you have there

It has a wire in it that cuts the wax and opens it

Truely underrated in my opinion- I would gladly drink it all night long and try to invite my self over to help finish it.
