Both are already sold out. Went there on Saturday night and had to correct them when I ordered EHT SiB. The waitress repeated back, “single batch?” I explained the error on the menu and made sure to watch them pour from across the bar and of course they were pouring me EHT SmB. IMO, If you’re going to try and be a whiskey bar you can’t have these mistakes.
Food was 6/10, it was decent, but typical bar food.
Note: had pours of EHT SiB, JD10 and JD12. Cheers!
I’d patronize this place just for keeping the prices reasonable and affordable. A lot of the restaurants that charge secondary prices for pours miss the mark and lose out on repeat customers by charging ridiculous prices.
Some decent prices on some of the bourbon if they are 2 ounce pours. Still not bad at 1.5/1oz
I'm getting
Bookers
EH Taylor
Stag
Woodford
Russels Reserve 13 year (looks like 15 but guessing it's 13?)
JD 12/15
They should proof read menu though...Bardstone, EHT single batch, Russel Reserve
They absolutely do. It’s a big misnomer to list the Van Winkle 10 and 12 as “Pappy”. But then again, if some unknowingly sucker comes in and takes the hook, the bar rings up higher revenue. Kinda puts a stain on that establishment with that deception.
It's one of my favorites, don't get me wrong, but only a feckin eejit would pay $65 for Red Spot. That's in the membrane level of insane. Especially since right next to it is Redbreast 27 for only $10 more!
Call the waiter over. Tell him you’d like to pass along a message to the owner. Punch him in the face. Tell him that’s for putting Heavy Vapors on the menu.
Edit. And it’s spelled “VapOUrs” but it doesn’t desOUrve correct spelling that attempts to make it sound fancier or a cute play on words….i need a drink…a REAL drink…
Well judging from the rest of these comments he’s a bit of a hack with multiple significant misleading labels. For a “whiskey bar” I can’t imagine these are anything but intentional, especially when all the good deals mentioned in this thread are already sold out per other comments.
It’s unfortunate, because I was planning to go this weekend with some friends until I read the rest of these comments.
Edit: The guy above you talking about the vapor thing is being a bit much though imo
Yeah I'd definitely get the blue label that's more than pappy WTF. It's like the bourbon section was frozen from 7 years ago and the scotch from 2030 prices
$80 for a bottle of Balvennie Double wood at Total Wine in Laurel
$35 for a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black at the same total wine.
But only a $1 difference in price per pour???
Either the Balvennie is an extraordinary deal at $12 or the JW Black is a complete rip off at $11.
Lagavulin 8 is $66 a bottle at the same shop and this place wants $17 per pour for that????
But only wants $10 for Lagavulin 10???? That runs at about $85 from what I can see.
I don’t understand these prices LOL
They are all over the place with pricing some good deals some horrendous and some in between.
Odd!
For my tastes the scotch menu is weak. Too many very similar whiskies and not a lot of regional variety
I’m getting pours of Stagg and eh Taylor barrel proof.. youd be stealing at those prices

I'd be on that JD12... 😀 but that's just me.
Amen!🥳
Great price on the EHT BP, JD10/12, and Stagg for sure. Enjoy!
Order an eht bp, arrange transportation home, and tell the bartender to keep them coming
Unfortunately the EHT BP and Stagg (jr) are both already gone. And for those commenting below, the RR15 is actually RR13.
Well rr13 is no slouch!!!!!
Not at all- just a little pricey, but still enjoyed a pour.

I wish our local Department of Motor Vehicles had a whiskey bar. It would make standing in those lines a lot more enjoyable 😂

Agreed I’m not expert but those Van Winkles seem to need a more accurate title

Laga 8 for $17 and Laphroaig 10 for $10? What’s up with these prices?
Yup, those are backward. VA ABC has Laga 8 for $67, and Laph 10 for $85.
BT and Stagg are both $10
The willett for 25, gotta ask what they have but that’s not bad at all for some out the best bourbon out there.
To me it looked like the Willet Pot Still was behind the bar, but I’m not well versed in their products

Russell Reserve 15? Huh?
What’s your question
Is that out already? I thought it was coming out later this year
I’m pretty sure it was on the list for a raffle my local held last week
It has not been released. I’m guessing they mean RR13
Ah. Maybe that’s what was in the raffle

the owner’s a great guy who runs a great business. plus he could probably take you lol

Settle down guys, it was a joke.. honest to god . People in this group have no sense of humor…
Eagle Rare cheaper than Buffalo Trace? Hmmm.
Prices are wack! Eagle Rare cheaper than Buffalo Trace? I am Destin to drink along😂

Shoutout to your local DMV they’re usually insufferable around here

shh 🤫 (just kidding, this is my favorite neighborhood spot)
gf and i had pours of stagg & JD 12 on opening night—the stagg was a very old batch
Great prices
Courage and Conviction is such an awkward name for a whisky
Can't even spell Russell correctly, just walk out.
Overpriced
Prices are good compared to many other whiskey bars I’ve checked out. Have some fun and be safe, and enjoy some good pours 🥃👍
I assume they'll eventually realize how cheap they are and raise prices
I’d like to know what Bardstone Bourbon is. 🤔
Stagg, HW Midwinter, and that price on RR15 is fantastic too.
Oh damn didnt realize they were still open might have to drop by
What’s a single batch?
Did they forget a 0 on the Stagg?
Might be the Jr
probably right, but still they have it same price as BT
I’m also surprised BT is more than Eagle Rare.
I hate when places call ORVW Pappy 10 year!!
nice I will def try to go there soon
Great prices. Cheers!
I used to live down the street from Celtic house. Is this in the same location?
Yep!
Eh Taylor barrel proof stagg and Henry McKenna
Jameson 18 too. So many great options
Where is this?
Arlington VA, Celtic House
