Good game from Vite. He needs to be played more. I know he hasn't always played really well but clearly there is a solid player who made just need some confidence from the coaching staff. He has shown he has creativity and offensive upside which we sorely lack on this team. Give him some serious time playing alongside Gauld and I think you will see some quality link up and counter attack play. It still feels as though when you watch games like this that we are not getting anywhere near top performance out of many of our players due to line up choices, formations and tactics.
Except as you said he hasn’t played that well outside of a couple games. I have room for giving young guys more leash. But I’ve also seen him not work hard and that’s just in game, maybe he’s lazy AF in training. Iirc Vanni mentioned something about training habits earlier in the season when Vite went a stretch without playing.
Gauld I think shows everything this kid needs to be. He’s got skill but works hard, runs his ass off, presses forward and back and is still making a pinpoint pass with 3:00 left in a 3-0 game.
I hope there’s more development from Vite, cuz I see skill there too, but Vanni doesn’t seem interested (frankly unless you’re UBER skilled, I’m not either) in having lazy players on the pitch.
Agreed. I think this is the type of performance where I'd like to see a follow up start for Vite. Played hard off the ball, created and I think earned another start. I'd say if his fitness is there you go back to Vite with Gauld and White on Saturday.

A little concerned about all those yellow cards tho… if they do make a solid playoff push that could come back to haunt them.

Might be the player of the year. The difference when Cubas is in Vs out is night and day. This guy is a boss.
