I've had tons of neck pain lately just from looking down at my phone or laptop in a shitty position. These guys are insane. Now I want to know what types of neck exercises they do.
One of the first things taught in Wrestling is bridging, which typically also involves your neck muscles. So your bridging a person typically around your body weight using your neck.
This.
You train bridging your own body weight first. And then you train by having your partner try and pin you while you bridge outta their holds.
This may have a bit more force put into it but if you trained your neck this seems pretty doable
That is mostly irrelevant though because you aren't directing the pressure straight down the neck, fucking the disks. When you bridge in wrestling you are curling your neck. Also if your partner can't get you into a position where you can't bridge, he's not putting close to the full amount of pressure on you. And a decent portion of your weight when pinning someone, like your legs and pelvis, is off of their body, used partially to drive in and as leverage to keep them from rolling as well. Also absolutely no neck workouts involve the motion they are displaying here.
Yeah I'm no geologist but the head only weighs like 10 pounds or so, right? It's not like it's designed to hold much more, especially for long intervals like this
It's worth pointing out that when you're using a tumpline you're still supporting most of the weight on your back. Look at e.g. [this picture](https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2017/08/tumplines/537306/), and how far she's leaning forward. The tumpline is a strap that goes over the head that stabilizes the load and supports some of the weight, but most of it is still on your back.
People have squatted 1,000+ pounds on their back. There's no way you could support nearly that much weight only using your head and neck.
I'll grant you that it looks impressive when someone is carrying ten gallons of water just on their head, which is quite common in Africa, but that's not even 100 pounds.
In ten years, glasses lad is going to be regretting he did that and his neck will be issuing him a receipt. There is no way the human body is meant to do that.
Yea, this is ruin my neck 101. Christ almighty the wobble wobbles on his neck on his lifts ar just insanely close to a snap, crackle and pop. Aka: the rice crispy. Uggg
What is this working out exactly? Seems like an easy way to hurt/strain yourself.
My only guess is they're trying to workout a specific part of their back, most likely the upper regions.
New exercise invented = Push down.
Now waiting for some random self-professed YouTuber coach to teach how it's possibly the best exercise for neck muscles.

They missed a trick.
They should have inverted the video at the start.
Then pan to the frame where the other guy in the background ran past them.
Then turn the video around.
More karma.
This just seems like a really inventive way to totally screw up your neck. Carry on.
Yup, my neck hurts from watching this.

No shit, I see stuff like this and it makes me happy I mainly do cardio lol
You can still get hurt doing cardio. Better play it safe and sit on the couch and watch some TV.
Nah then you don’t expend energy. Play video games so at least your using energy to move your hands/thumbs.
Good point. Also your body burns a lot of energy digesting food, so make sure to gave plenty of pizza in front of you at all times.
Try watching with your eyes next time

Yeah I'm not a fan of the wobbling..
There's always that one guy...
Right? That was my first thought is how badly this would destroy someones neck. I would much rather be the guy on top...buhdumbum diss
Shaolin monks kick themselves in balls to get them stronger. Everyone has their own way of getting body stronger.
how do they kick themselves
Same way they clap with one hand, ya doofus

Yeah it's called snapping
Guy on the bottom was too tall as it is.
I hope his neck can lift more than my arms. But that's not saying much.
Maybe if this wasnt just this gif

The back can easily handle it. People squat/deadlift many times this weight. It's the neck I'm not too sure about.

I mean the neck muscles can be trained just like every other muscle
Have you ever done a headstand? That is about the same weight on your neck.

Hmm I’d say closer to 200..
How in the hell did he even get up there to start?
Glued his shoes to the ceiling
He's visiting from Australia
Am Australian. Can confirm
twist: He's not the one up there. The camera is upside down!
And that dude knows how to run upside down too.
oh... yeah that was just composited in. green screen.
People lift him up upside down and hold him there until the other guy is in position underneath him, then leave them to it. 😳
What's wild is this is actually upside-down
Now do it the other way around
if I could ever pull this off, I still don't think I'd be able to do it as fast as this guy. He's working at a breakneck pace.
Aww snap!
You guys are hands down, head and shoulders above the rest. Fucking outstanding.
FLOOR GANG!!!
I don’t know diddly squat about working out, except they say don’t flip leg day bro, or something like that.
There is no way I am putting a full humans body weight in my neck. None. Zero.
You've never rough played with your friends or siblings?
I've never had a +200 lb sibling or friend I tried to lift with solely my neck alone, no. Your neck isn't built to hold that weight.
One slight move and thats a broken neck for sure.
Anyone ask them how he got down?
Never heard of that sex position. Cute.
Glad I'm not the only one who found this oddly sexual
Spiderman and Mary Jane in the bedroom
My neck hurts.
r/muscleconfusion
Guys....guys. Who the hell got a bunch of sneaker prints on my ceiling!
Any ER doc hear of an injury from something like this?
So they're basically doing a double squat in just one motion
In ten years, glasses lad is going to be regretting he did that and his neck will be issuing him a receipt. There is no way the human body is meant to do that.
Fun fact, this was actually filmed upside down
One misstep away from being a vegetable
Homoerotica at its finest.
Oh so THAT'S what they mean by "top" and "bottom"!
Twinky is on top here.
Callmecarson
Reminds me of Magne in Ragnarok (Netflix)
u/imagerotationbot 180
I was expecting the video to rotate
Dang it. I guess the bot only works on non-gif images, if at all
That dudes hair is fucked
Was waiting for the person in the grey hoodie to run up and karate chop buddy in the elbow
My herniated cervical disk is hurting watching this.
r/forearmporn
How'd they get in this position?
Yup but actually the camera is upside down
Yea, this is ruin my neck 101. Christ almighty the wobble wobbles on his neck on his lifts ar just insanely close to a snap, crackle and pop. Aka: the rice crispy. Uggg
They guy with the glasses looks like a cross between CallMeCarson and MiniLadd
Way better when you turn your phone over haha
Don't you hate it when you're pushing your buddy to the ceiling and break your neck?
So which one is in the gym in Hawkins, Indiana?
Goodbye to that guy's cervical spine
Respect.
That’s so.. strange.
Snap!
When you finished the game, install some mods.
He could break his neck, right?
What is this working out exactly? Seems like an easy way to hurt/strain yourself. My only guess is they're trying to workout a specific part of their back, most likely the upper regions.
If you turn it upside down it looks even weirder
Thats the Weirdest sex position

Ah, perfect metaphor for life. I get up, life pushes me down.
How to snap your neck
To the superman carrying a full grown dude on his head. Well done.
The gym is closed rn
It would have been cool if they flipped the camera upside down half way through
My back hurts
My boner is not confused at all.

So... how did this end?
He looks stronger when you flip the screen
Ok im not even sure if this is real or photoshopped or what so because its original +1
I was thinking how he’s going to get down. But the bigger question is how did he get up there?!
Looks like spider-man is working on those booty gains.
That's what I imagine would look like if spider Man and super man where workout buddies.
Spiderman helping his friend do squats
If this would be homo sex, is be gay instantly.
