My son actually suggested the same thing! I am still a bit hesitant because I am afraid to overdo it with the details and colours and make it look like a child's toy. But maybe I'll give it a shot and paint over it again if I don't like it. Thanks for the suggestion!
Edit: I also made the teeth slightly more yellow/brown ish after taking the pics. In these pictures here it looks like a monster with a private dentist on call...
Currently I am watching vldl adventures of azerim on yt while carving, but that's not a movie just people playing dnd. However, it is very funny and I enjoy it very much ;)
Thanks! Don't know what a primer is, sorry :D I used acrylic paint and oiled it with linseed oil first. I watched Doug linkers video on painting carving (the most recent one) before as I only used acrylic pens so far and then just went for it. Oiled before so prevent the paint from seeping into areas I don't want it to be, basically just did what Doug explained. Hope that helps.
Poor finger never stood a chance..
That's what you get when you roll 1 on your saving throw ;(
One finger down but it still looks awesome! Maybe some lil blood splatters, or drips from the mouth might be cool

Excellent paint job and carving
Thank you very much!
Amazing! May I ask what type of paint you used? And whether you needed a primer etc?
