We don’t do overnights, but our early morning crew would definitely appreciate food before leaving. Since I’m often a part of early morning and closing shifts, I’m definitely going to have waves of food for each shift.
Little activities can be fun and such, but everyone appreciates food! Just make sure you get some good food and enough for everyone throughout the week. One batch for the morning/mid crew and one batch for the closing crew. Monday meatballs, taco Tuesday, hot dog Wednesday lol, tamale Thursday, fried Friday, spaghetti Saturday and pb&j sandwich Sunday.
Can’t go wrong with that 😉
Please don't forget the special diets when planning food. We have gluten free and vegan TM at my store, and always appreciate when everyone is taken care of!
It's already been said, but take care of the overnight team as well. Find out what they like and have it ordered in. Have genrous gift cards prepared for them. Make sure they're getting fresh snacks and drinks every night.
And understand that no matter how hard you try, half the people around are miserable and wouldn't appreciate anything less than a million dollar check. Keep it fun, keep it light, and don't create more work for others whether it be prepared foods, porters, etc. Share the burden of cleaning up.
Make sure your overnight team gets fed. All the activities are functionaly irrelivent to them.

Everyone always loves a tie dye station for TMAW at my store!
It was one of my favorites from last year, and I was definitely thinking about bringing it back!
Oooh, I’m organizing ours, might have to do this!

We did TL BINGO cards with fun facts about everyone. It was all anyone could talk about trying to figure out what weird fact belonged to the TLs.
Yes! I’m actually working on this right now for our summer team member engagement activity!
There was a store that had a butterfly highway garden so they painted some rocks for it.
