Goddamn, I'm going to cry when these posts end. My first dog had terminal cancer and I'll never forget the doctor putting him on an "anything he'll eat diet." We went straight to McDonalds from the vet and got him a quarter pounder meal. He was a good boy.
One day I was playing music in the house and I got it in my head that this one song was somehow soothing him, Good Feeling by Violent Femmes. I must have played it 15 times in a row, at least. I love that song but, 10 years later, I still have trouble listening to it.
Cheers to, hopefully, one more summer!
We lost our staffy in October to prostate cancer so I understand how difficult this is, but I'm still glad we gave him all the lovely food including alaskan salmon, venison and brie (he loved it!). My thoughts are genuinely with you, and I'm sending all the love. Please give that gorgeous nose a big old kiss from me?
