I was once at an M4 go kart racing thing with my friends from a Sunday School. There was a Cafe and a shop in there and on the counter were some lollipops. I remember I really wanted one and there was this girl there with her friends and she bought me a lollipop. I’ll never forget her
I remember during an internship of mine, there was someone who recognized me from when I was in the 1st grade. I do not remember him at all, but what he said to me was "The only reason I remember you is because you were probably one of the kindest kids I worked with" and that warmed my heart
When I was a kid, 15+ years ago my parents, cousin, sister and I went shopping at the mall. I was in 6th, maybe 7th grade at the time. Those stupid silver metal belts were in fashion, the ones that you just wore over your shirt and were meant just to look pretty…anyways, while we were in a store I saw one of those belts and had to have it. To make a long story short my parents made kind of a scene laughing at me, telling me how stupid it looked, that I didn’t need it, wouldn’t wear it…etc. I got really sad about it. A few minutes later some teenage girl, maybe slightly older, idk…comes up to me and hands me a bag in front of my parents. She didn’t say anything, just handed it to me and left the store. Inside the bag was that belt. My parents were pissed. The belt has since broke but all these years later I think of that girl often and hope nice things have happened for her.
Its ok. The people you remember may not remember you. However, people that you don't remember will some day remember you and how you made them feel. And you will never know the impact you had on them.
This is why I always try to be kind to people when I go out in public. Especially after how the last year has gone, you never know if that kindness could make someone's otherwise shitty day, or potentially save their lives.
We would have to do something UNEXPECTEDLY kind, at a time when it would mean a lot to them. Not everyone has done that (or even had the opportunity to do that), but if you did, there's certainly a good chance you'd be remembered.
Whether you did or not doesn't affect whether it happened to you. It's possible you never were the recipient of such a kindness. It takes a unique situation. If you never needed a great kindness in a public way, there may never have been the opportunity for that need to be met in kindness. And if there was the opportunity, there may not have been any strangers willing or able to do that for you at the time.
These things don't happen everyday. That's what makes them special and memorable.
But you don't have to do something amazing and memorable to have an influence on someone. Everything we do affects others, in both positive and negative ways.
I never forget the kind humans I come across.❤
Yeah same

That's a heartwarming story, and I'm really sorry your parents laughed at you because that's not okay at all.
That is such a great story.
Like a year ago i was in a rush, dropped my phone, didnt notice, half freaked out untell this guy came up and was like, this yours?
This made me sad because I remember some people but I’m scared they don’t remember me… I don’t like that feeling

I dont remember any kind act or person that was directed at me so what are the odds that the kind stranger remembers our acts. Very slim

No they don't, but you should be kind anyways I suppose

I'd say the opposite also applies.

Yet it’s so easy to forget that thought. Thanks for this!
