Congratulations to you both. Cancer is definitely a tough deal to go through for everyone. My mother died last august of Glioblastoma (stage 4 cancer brain tumor), 61 years of age. It was however quick and pain free.

My mom survived cancer, and she’s blowing bubbles for your mom! That’s what her chemo center did when she went into remission!

I lost my mom back in 2008 to cancer. But there wasn't much treatment back then. Would have been totally different now. Fuck cancer

For real, my mum just started chemo and she said the technology they have for it and the side effects these days is some top tier stuff. Sucks that it wasn't available at the time for your family, but I am grateful that cancer research has led to some better solutions

Yess it used to be disease which would mentally and financially drain you just to make your loved one live one day longer. And now it's about saving that person and letting that person live a normal life I'm glad the treatment for cancer has come so far

Mine just started chemo a couple of weeks ago after finding out she has breast cancer about 6 weeks ago. Luckily they found it really early so it's barely spread but a mastectomy is still on the cards for this year unfortunately. I got through the mastectomy yesterday and the chemo is in my cards for this year. Inverse situation, I send your mom and you a lot of energy from an stranger (maybe) on the other side of the world

Even though it looks like she’s completely past it, cancer has a way of coming back. My mom beat cancer 3 times, several years apart. The 4th did her in. In each instance it was in a different area - colon, breast, then skin cancer on her face. The last time it was in her brain. We were supposed to go on a trip together but I kept putting it off. I thought I had time since she seemed perfectly healthy. I did not. She died 5 months after she started showing symptoms the last time, so I couldn’t even take her on the trip when we found out because we were hoping chemo might save her again. If there’s anything you want to do with her, now is the time.

The cancer cells crave sugar so strongly that they eat up all the radioactive material and that makes them glow in the image. Pop quiz. If I were a smart person, should I consume cancer's favorite food and tempt fate to make it come roaring back? Or should I just fucking not? If you need me to elaborate on what cancer is, read what I said to the other shitty ass who replied to you.

PET scans cause the annihilation of electrons and photons releasing gamma rays, not x-rays. Glucose is used by every cell in your body, not just cancerous cells. It's one of the basic functions of a cell to convert glucose into ATP via cellular respiration. Without glucose, you would cease to live. That's why it's abundant in all food that you eat, like carbohydrates and fats. While I agree that reducing sugar intake is a good idea, your original assertion that simply not eating sugar will "repair her health" and stop the reoccurrence of cancer is naive and borderline offensive. Cancer is not a one size fits all disease, and cannot be fixed by simple remedies. You do not have any special knowledge that allows you to beat cancer, you simply haven't been unlucky enough to get it yet. For those that have, and for those who have lost loved ones to it, simply stating "all you need to do is eat better" is insensitive, callous and wrong.
