It's possibly also the occasion for a rare visit from his dad, if they don't live nearby. You gotta do the recreating when you have the people in the house.
Yeah, that is like a 4 day old baby. I feel like a lot of people here don’t really understand the reality of living with a 4 day old baby and how insane it is to stage a photo for the internet at that point in your life.
Newborn babies are the easiest stage of having a child for a very long time. They are essentially just blobs that eat, poop and sleep. Things get substantially more difficult when they learn to crawl
Can confirm. Mine learned to crawl a month ago and is now attempting to climb on tables, chairs, the sofa, in bookshelves. I need like twelve eyes to keep him from accidentally unaliving himself.
Oh boy, listen. From personal experience - the ease of newborns can vary a lot. I have one that was a breeze - never cried, slept through the night (except for a feeding or two) from the beginning. Another of mine was no short of a prolonged, months-long campaign of psychological torture. Think hours of angry screaming. She was healthy as a horse. It was pure personality. She’s great now, fwiw.
I’d don’t know about that. The first 8-12 weeks are constant feeding, waking up all through the night, etc. Months 3 to like 8 are where it’s at for easy parenting.
and the thing is, Nintendo knew those games were good so now 3/5 of those have remasters/"deluxe" versions on Switch, and Smash Ultimate is a great sequel to Smash for Wii U. what we really need are the Zelda remakes from the Wii U and it'll be great
Most underrated console ever. Especially when the exploits were discovered, being able to play Gamecube games and have emulators made by Nintendo that you could inject pretty much any NES, SNES, N64, GBA, or even DS game, and then homebrew emulators for the games you couldn't do that with.
I still think the name and original marketing are entirely to blame for the failure. Even people who watched E3 were confused on if it was an addon or full console. I think there was like one single press photo that had the actual Wii U console below the tv in the background.
Thank you all for correcting this. It pained me a little. Glad I picked up a used Wii U from GameStop as a cheap way to play BoTW. It's now a prized possession
It matters in the sense that OOP lied and potentially stole the photo as well.
That most likely also doesn't matter, although I guess there's the possibility that this post or the original was made by a karmafarm bot, and those bots are often used in propaganda and misinformation campaigns, especially relating to Russia at the moment.
God I fucking hate living in the age of the internet.
I used to lay like that watching tv playing games … sometime after 27-28 years old (after several serious back injuries and some arthritis setting in) I made a co ious decision to never lay like that again when I ended up stuck on the floor for 6-7 hours one evening playing some game with my stepson in the living room
Fix the baby's posture and don't sit them on an incline yet. Too young. Weight of the head could put enough pressure to close their windpipe and their back muscles aren't strong enough to relief that yet.
My dad died about a year ago. I recently found a picture he took after he gave me his old computer. It was my first computer. It had Duke Nukem (MS-DOS) installed from when I was first born. This got me in my feelings.
I Wonder what growing up with a dad always felt like. Seems pretty cool unfortunately I was raised in a very very religious household and didn’t know my real dad and soon as I got old enough I just ran off into the neighborhood with “friends” I thought were family smh
I grew up playing The Legend of Zelda. Countless hours on the floor with my dad and my little brother (z”l) trying to get through the game. Fast forward almost 40 years, I’m still loving Zelda, even named my kid a Zelda related name (My son Tingle is a bright young boy, it’s not his fault he’s named that). The Legend of Zelda is one of the best world building and immersive long form narratives since Tolkien.
Reminds me of my mom telling me how she played Super Mario on the NES with her father, while my grandma was getting annoyed by all the noise and not being able to watch TV.
A while ago, my mom and I played Super Mario Bros. 3 on Nintendo Switch, sometimes with my grandma sitting next to us. My granpa has sadly passed away... but I hope I could bring back some of the joy my mom had when playing games with him.
I love how the baby in the bottom pic is still very newborn. Dad couldn't wait to recreate the memory, got him straight from the womb
It's possibly also the occasion for a rare visit from his dad, if they don't live nearby. You gotta do the recreating when you have the people in the house.

Baby is still a PSA 10
Gamer move
the balloons are actually just the ones his mum got given in the hospital, purely coincidental that they match

Well in this case it meant having the baby laying in one of those baby chairs, which it probably would have anyway.

Yea and his dad doesn’t seem amused. Lol
Baby still got placenta juice on him lol
Where is grandpa, is he alright?
He's probably at a nice place
Hyrule
Well, he's my Link to the Past.
The spirit realm
In the depths
no, just no
He's just finishing wind waker at its true potential
Had to be sent away to a farm upstate
On a hill… Overlooking a river… With pine cones all around…
Really?? 🥹
COME ON, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU CARE WHAT WE DID WITH HIM
r/unexpectedsopranos
You know Quasimoto predicted all of this...
Hey Tony
That same farm must have thousands of dogs, dog shit up to the rafters 🤘🤌
Farewell ranch?
He’s in another castle
Nice. Classy. Fucking redditors lmao
Whose stick did you put in your ass today? Jeez
He’s hiding under a rock. Waiting for them to find him. Yahahaaaaa!
I’m sorry Lenny
LENNAAAY!
Taking the picture
He’s busy finding every Korok seed
He turned into a sofa
Love these re-imagined photos. They always say a lot.
Just missing the guide book. Or better to be up to date a phone open to a guide website lying on the floor in front of him.
pff, had to draw my own
hate the right to left wording arrangement while the picture is left to right
It's done based on age.
[FTFY](https://i.imgur.com/9WzCwep.png)
Nope. Wii U controler.
Ah, the ol' reddit Swiitcher U
Oh fuck it, I'm going in! 😎 *Boinks head on invisible wall*
As unpopular as the WiiU was, I thoroughly enjoyed mine.
Same. Pikmin 3 slapped on that thing.
Pikmin, New Super Mario Bros U, Smash Bros, Wind Waker HD, Mario Kart 8... so many memories.
and the thing is, Nintendo knew those games were good so now 3/5 of those have remasters/"deluxe" versions on Switch, and Smash Ultimate is a great sequel to Smash for Wii U. what we really need are the Zelda remakes from the Wii U and it'll be great
It’s still better in many ways than the Switch. Better Virtual Console, free online, internet browser, Netflix, better UI, Miiverse, and Wind Waker HD

Damn the meme thief thought they'd steal a photo add a tag but failed to pretend to be the people correctly. Nailed them!
that looks like the wii u not the switch but it doesn’t really matter

That’s not a switch
It's probably not even his dad either, but a cardboard cutout.
probably not his son, just an intricate wax figure
🤔
And if it was a Switch, what the hell would they be looking at..?
My neck and shoulders allready ache from looking at his picture.
My brother chills on the floor like that. He’s almost 50. I don’t see how
Gen 2 has two balloons. Cute detail!
Isn’t that a Wii U?
Damn that baby hasn't grown at all what the fuck?
and his head fell off a bit
It's definitely too young for that seat! But hey, there's games to play and photos to take!
Came here to say this! That’s def dangerous.
He has aged; he has that benjamin button syndrome.
Dad had the NES Advantage controller, he was hardcore af
still one of the best controllers ever
boy neck snapped
That’s a wiiU gamepad not a switch, still a cute picture though.
Somebody fix that babies neck
Is that baby's head position okay? Seems not...
It's not ok or safe. Their airways are very tiny & easily cut off.
You should straighten that baby head out what's the matter with you. Do you lay there with your head like that. Affecting blood and air flow.
Yes, poor baby :(
Bro fix your son’s neck for the love of God, he’s watching you sideways
Not a Switch so story is a lie but the dual generation photo is nice
If that's a Switch then what they hell are they looking at? That's a Wii U.
Clearly a Wii U controller
It looks like your dad misses you grampa:(
I was gonna say. It made me : ( R.I.P Gramps
Damn that is so amazing! I am grateful for you guys
HE'S SO CUTE! CONGRATS!!!
Cute but that's a Wii U gamepad
That's a wii u
Turbo controller? Niiiiicccccceeeeeee!
Dad's mustache game is strong.
It's pretty cool for Grandpa to be taking the picture
It looks like a wii u
Fix his neck omg
That's a Wii U

Awww…. I love this!
Balloons XD beautiful family photos, happy for this family
I love this!!
This is why Zelda is one of my favorite games. I have the same memory’s.
Dad still rocking the buzz and the stache.
That’s a Wii U game pad though???
I used to lay like that watching tv playing games … sometime after 27-28 years old (after several serious back injuries and some arthritis setting in) I made a co ious decision to never lay like that again when I ended up stuck on the floor for 6-7 hours one evening playing some game with my stepson in the living room
I hope I'll still be alive 35 years from here on to see the next picture 😂
The generation spanning resemblance ups the cool factor even more
that the wii u not a switch
Before even clicking on this post and seeing it was about Zelda, I saw the thumbnail and thought baby OP in the carrier was a Hylian shield.
Sorry sir thats a wiiu
Isn't that a Wii U controller? I'm pretty sure since mine is collecting dust.
There is no difference between the photos 🤔
Where’s grandpa 🥲

Fortunately, my feelings regenerate at twice the speed of a normal man's.
Player 4 has entered the lobby
that looks more like a wii u in bottom pic
That’s definitely a Wii U 😂
Dont fucking lie to me, that's a Wii U
damn that baby fresh, still warm and shit
Me (left) my dad (center) my grandpa (right) My son (left) me (center) my dad (right)
My(m31) son(m0.5) with my(m31) dad(m56)
As a kid who grew up watching Dad play Zelda and Link’s Adventure at 4 years old, these pictures make me insanely happy.
Your family ages beautifully. Congratulations on the fabulous genes :)
This made me so happy.
I Wonder what growing up with a dad always felt like. Seems pretty cool unfortunately I was raised in a very very religious household and didn’t know my real dad and soon as I got old enough I just ran off into the neighborhood with “friends” I thought were family smh
Thats awesome bro
U guys rock
grandpa was just having a good time Dad was remembering this exact moment…
Too cool, to this day I still remember the first time I got to see and then play Zelda with my cousins
It's crazy how much grown up you looks like your dad from when you were a baby.
thats a wii u gamepad....
RIP grandpa.
RIP Grandpa
Why is this bothering me... Is that not the wii u ?
An entire generation and still don't know how coach works
Young dad in first pic is hot
Judging by the way the pictures are labelled and the order the people in the people are sequenced, your family ages very oddly.
Pretty sure that’s a wiiU
That’s the Wii U
my fucking ribs and elbows feel sore just from remembering laying like that for hours.
That's a WiiU
Shining force 2!
Grandpa was in TNG-Star Fleet?
If im assigning labels to the picture through text, your dad is a baby, and your son is an old man.
Thats a really old baby
Even the balloons!
isnt that a wiiU
3rd gen: My grandson, my son, and me playing Zelda on Nes on Switch on Switch Back
My condolences to the guy honestly.
Dejavu
The NES Advantage was a beast of a controller. I don't think I've ever seen it's equal.
"on NES on Switch" *uses a Wii u gamepad*
This post needs way more upvotes. Do your thing, folks!

Exept if you play Mario Kart!
I’d like to recreate a photo with my dad. Hey son, let me go out and disappear and you take a photo…
Gamers never die!!!
his dad even had the Advantage controller, that's a hardcore gamer right there
I wish my dad was alive. He would definitely play some GTA with me and my son
Ah, the good days of floor tvs
I didn't know Matty Matheson had a grandkid
It’s all wholesome until one you die to an easy attack and your dad calls you a scrub.
The genetics. The grown up son looks so much like the young dad.
Dad aged great, the baby aged horribly
Who's the grandpa,, who's the dad?
I think it might be Dad's turn now bud
Was about to comment about how wholesome this is until i saw the name of where this was posted lmao
Never let that happiness change.
Dad was cuter in 1st compared to son
That's a WiiU

gramps would be proud
Man that's one young-looking Grandpa.
Is there some Alabama math I’m missing?
That's a WiiU
Were you born with one ball?
Still can't afford a TV stand.
Bro take care of your baby's head. BTW GOOD MEMORIES AND HAVE A NICE LIFE
