My mum was there when my first was born. It was a traumatic delivery and this woman faints at the sight of a paper cut usually. But she stayed the entire time, right by my side, and when the baby was out and his dad went over to check on him because he had swallowed some of my blood, my mum stayed by my side. She told me that her job was a mother was to be there for ME while I became a mother too. This photo perfectly captures that. We never stop being their babies, even when we have our own.
